Belvedere Wellness Hotel

Nice hotel right across from the famous Gloriette and singing fountain. Great breakfast buffet with a wide verity of foods and drinks.

I would like to share an experience I had with this hotel, even without visiting it. My two-week reservation was made over Booking.com, months ahead of time, with no option to cancel. Due to very unfortunate circumstances, I had to reach out to the hotel team and ask for exception, to allow me to cancel this trip with no fees. No matter the reason, the hotel kept rejecting my request, Booking customer service was not able to resolve the issue on my behalf either. I understand that hotel management is not an easy task, however, situations due to which people request exceptional conditions are different and in some cases, cannot be treated following the regular policy. Even simply changing dates at no additional price is not possible. It's a very disappointing outcome.

I think this hotel is good for the price. But it all depends on what your expectations are. It’s super central and you have the view of the singing fountain. Breakfast is generous. But also be aware that if your room has a view of the plaza, the fountain will wake you up at 7am and the last time it sings is 10pm. I guess it’s just a part of the experience :) Otherwise it’s okay for what it is and for what you pay for it. The female receptionist working Monday-Friday is very friendly. Didn’t get her name, but she was very helpful and tried to make sure we had a good time. The interior makes the hotel seem a little stuck in the past (just like the whole town itself) but everything was clean. My friend in another room was sadly woken up at 7am when a housekeeper was entering his room unprompted (probably by accident). But except for that, everything was smooth for our 1-night stay.

A classical, old-style hotel, close to the city centre and the Colonada. I stayed for 8 nights. The room was comfortable and the breakfast plentiful. I enjoyed the view from my room, it was January and there was snow all over! / Marienbad is GREAT, i come here every year!
