Everything was perfect! We completely trusted Janka, and he was very attentive to our wishes and interests. He also suggested some additional visits, most of which were free of charge, including tea factories, a herbal garden, a woodcarver’s workshop, and temples. The tour with Rowan, our guide and tuktuk driver, was great! He did his very best to give us a great day. Though the plan was to do a tour for only 3 to 4 hours, we ended up leaving at 10 am and returning in the evening after watching the ceremony at the Temple of the sacred Tooth, including a visit at the beautiful museum of the temple. We visited the Asgiri Maha Seya, which has beautiful wood carvings and painted ceiling. After this, we visited the workshop of the family that made the carving and paintings. We continued to visit a gem stone/ jewelry factory and a tea factory. After that we stayed a few hours in the beautiful Royal Botanic gardens, to be picked up again at the end of the afternoon to go to the Temple of the sacred Tooth, to visit the ceremony and the museum. It was a great and interesting full day,. Rowan's English is good and the tour was very affordable. So if you want to go sightseeing in Kandy I really recommend to contact Rowan from Sakura Ceylon travel.

We worked with our driver, Rohan, to plan each day. While we had a few of ideas of what we wanted to see (Botanical Garden, the large Buddha on the hill, Temple of the Tooth), he provided additional suggestions of visiting traditional craft makers that were very educational and informative.We did not feel any pressure to purchase after the visits. Rohan is an excellent driver, a good communicator, flexible and I highly recommend him if you need a driver.

We had a great day with our guide who took us through Kandy all the day. He also showed us some local restaurants with great food, off the tourist spots. He was a great host there! Fees for visits are transparent, feel free to ask.

Janika is as competent as he is compassionate. My husband got a serious bacterial infection and needed urgent medical attention. Janika was with us every step of the way until my husband was admitted to the Kandy General Hospital. He has visited him twice a day for three days, bringing towels, pillows, food, and water. He showed me around Kandy and his gentle way of speaking has helped me cope with the situation. He kept cool, calm and collected while changing a flat tyre. Janika conveys professionalism and a sense of security. His problem-solving skills and good English make him an ideal driver. and guide.

It was nice exploring Kandy and its environments. I was able to visit the tea factory, wood carving area, temple and Buddha tooth relic temple. The Tuk driver was very helpful and nice.

Absolutely perfect, I recommend, we didn't really know what to do in Kandy, so we asked for advice from our hotel which recommended Rohan. The guide came to pick us up directly at the hotel and we let ourselves be guided all day through many activities. The guide speaks very good English.

My family booked Tony's private tour (8 days). I bought honey from small stalls that I would never have been able to get to on a large sightseeing bus, and I bought fruit on the spot and peeled it and ate it. When I said I wanted spices, they took me to the old market, where I could buy them by weight. We were introduced to recommended restaurants in each town, and we were able to eat delicious food that went well with Japanese taste. Thank you for the fun tour. It was a wonderful memory.
