Kandy City Tour By Lux Tours Lanka

We had a nice experience with Lux Tour Lanka, thanks especially to our guide Chanaa. From the very beginning, communication with him was very easy and fast. They arranged 3 transfers, 1 tuk-tuk tour and 1 full-day tour for us. Initially, we had only booked 2 transfers, but we like the service and decided to continue using their services for our other needs as well. Our first-day driver was very nice, kind and helpful. All the drivers were caring and punctual, with great experience in planning routes and providing a personalized service. Chanaa was always available, responded quickly and was ready to help with any question or request we had. Our tuk-tuk tour was guided by Laxman, who was very experienced, especially when it came to planning the route and managing our time efficiently. He was very attentive to the little details and always made sure that we felt comfortable. We were also completely free to choose the experiences and places we wanted to include in our tour. The transfers were arranged in comfortable, well-air-conditioned vehicles. Everything felt safe and reliable and the driver was always there on time, exactly as agreed, without any delays. If you are looking for safe, reliable and flexible travel services in Sri Lanka, then this company is recommended.

Our tuk tuk driver was excelent. He arranged everything for us and told us everything about places we visited. When he didn't go with us (when we watched dancers) he very kindly looked after our backpacks left in our tuk tuk. The trip was an incredible expirience thanks to our driver. We were very very lucky to have him.

The experience with Lux Tours Lanka was phenomenal. Our driver, Laxman, has been very nice to us. He brought us to the tea factory and tea fields and showed us around in the meanwhile, sharing many historical and nature facts about Kandy. He's also a very good photographer. He also took time to stop next to fruit farms to buy some fresh fruit for us to taste. Overall good experience, highly recommended.

We only had 1 night in Kandy and weren’t sure how we’d organise seeing Kandy but Laxman solved that. Took us to all the best spots with such much knowledge of the nature, architecture and temples. Really recommended the tour as he took us to have an amazing back massage too. If we had any questions he answered and he did everything he could to make our only day in Kandy the best it could have been! Such good value for money and a really lovely man and his English was amazing! We will come back!

We had a truly wonderful day with our drivers, Luxman and Dan, in Kandy, Sri Lanka. Visiting all the main attractions in Kandy was impressive and a very great experience, and seeing the batik industry gave us a fascinating insight into local craftsmanship. Pinnawala Zoo and the elephant place were the cherry on top. Our drivers were friendly, patient, and extremely reliable, and they were especially kind and attentive to our baby. Our trip with Lux tours was very good and worth the money. Lakshman was too good , he not only just drove us around but also came all the way to places and explained about history and Buddhism. Had a great time with Lux Tours, Mr Laxman was so helpful taking us to all the hot spots in Kandy. The best restaurants and sightseeing areas. It was a very nice tour though Kandy with well chosen spots and interesting insights with a lovely tour guide. The offer for that price was amazing!

We were fortunate enough to spend two days with these amazing guides; it was truly the best experience in Sri Lanka! The service and quality were absolutely outstanding — they took such great care of us that we felt genuinely sad when the trip came to an end. On our first day, we explored Ella by tuk tuk, visiting a beautiful temple, a tea factory, and a botanical center. They took us to a lovely café for lunch and later to a great spot for dinner. We also visited the incredible Ambuluwawa Biodiversity Complex, which was a highlight! The second day was equally amazing — we went on a full-day tour to Sigiriya and a safari, this time by car. Along the way, we stopped at several famous temples and enjoyed breaks for fresh fruits and a delicious lunch. Both days were thoughtfully planned — the itinerary was perfectly balanced: not overwhelming, but filled with exciting and enriching experiences. The tour guides were extremely polite, knowledgeable, and helpful. They made every moment fun, informative, and unforgettable. I honestly cannot recommend these guys enough! If you want to explore Kandy and its surroundings with the best tour guides at an amazing price, look no further. Had a fantastic experience with this company. First a Kandy city day tour and then a driver through the cultural triangle, elephant safari and drop off in Trincomalee. Very reasonable prices, great English speaking and very informative and personable guides. Highly recommend.

He picked us up right on time from the train station, and after we checked into our hotel, he took us on a full private tour of the city and its surroundings. From the sacred Temple of the Tooth to an authentic agricultural farm, a tea factory, and the breathtaking Ambuluwawa Tower, we saw it all. Laxman also took us to two fantastic restaurants—one with a stunning river view and another serving delicious Chinese cuisine, perfect for when we were craving something more familiar. We had a phenomenonal day exploring the Kandy region thanks to our incredible driver and guide, Luxman. From start to finish, he made the experience smooth, fun, and super memorable. We visited the stunning Ambuluwawa Tower, wandered through the gorgeous Botanical Gardens, and explored the Temple of the Tooth where Luxman really impressed with his knowledge and insights. He clearly loves sharing the history and culture of his country, and we learned so much thanks to him. What really stood out was how kind and generous he was—he treated us to delicious roadside fruit and corn and never once made us feel rushed, equally we started with a blank sheet so we made it hard for him plus we had a toddler with us. His pricing was also extremely fair for the level of service and the time he gave us. I'll also add that his English is excellent. If you're in Kandy and want an excellent tour by a genuine local, we can’t recommend Luxman's Lux Tour's Lanka enough. Thank you for your time, patience, and thoughtfulness.

Lux Tours was way more than we expected. Chaana drove us around for 3 days in Kandy. We had such a wonderful time with such a nice young man. He took his time and showed us everything from temples, silk factory, tea factory, botanical gardens, and much much more!! His fee was only $20 a day and you got wonderful service and lots of great information and picked up everyday. He’s a safe driver, which is a Huge plus in Sri Lanka. We would highly recommend him and his brother in law Dan who drove us to Tangalle.

We had an amazing time with our guide Lassima, who was an insightful , helpful and engaging guide, his knowledge on Buddhist philosophy was particularly interesting. We visited several Buddhist sites, a herbal medical centre, the tea factory and several local businesses. We were also treated to a selection of fresh and local fruit when mentioning we were hungry. We felt so cared for and couldn’t ask for a better experience of Kandy. We will definitely recommend to friends and had the best time thanks to Lassima.

Fantastic tour! Lexman was our guide the first day and his son on the second. We were a family of three, my elderly mom, myself and my brother. He was very gracious and kind taking us around Kandy to the botanical gardens and we sampled various fruit stands on the way. That night he took us to the temple of the tooth; a great day. The second day his son drove us to Sigiriya and was very friendly and informative as well. Can't recommend these guys enough!
