Simpson's Forest Hotel

The hotel is simply amazing and, without a doubt, a place where I would stay again! I would like to emphasise the warm and welcoming way we were received, which contributed a lot to making our stay even more special. A very special thanks to Imalka and Janildu, two extraordinary employees, always kind, friendly and attentive, who made all the difference in our experience. Without a doubt, they deserve all the recognition! The pool and the view are absolutely stunning, breathtaking, and are undoubtedly one of the great strengths of the hotel. The only aspect that I think could be improved are the rooms, which would benefit from some remodelling to be at the level of excellence of the rest of the space. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, in a hotel that is well worth visiting and that I recommend without hesitation. I'll be back, no doubt!

Amazing place for families! The kids absolutely loved the pool, the hikes, the beautiful surroundings and the incredible birdlife. For those who prefer to avoid the single-track footpaths, I would recommend sticking to the road sections of the hikes. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and always attentive to our needs. It was a wonderfully relaxing and memorable stay. A special mention to Mr Shane and the Manager, Mr Asela, who went above and beyond to make our stay truly special. ❤️

Simpson’s Forest Hotel is an exceptional luxury retreat. The property is calm and quiet, with stunning views from every angle. The rooms were very comfortable, the food was excellent with a great variety and the fresh-water infinity pool was a absolute highlight. There are plenty of activities to enjoy but we highly recommend the walks and the massages. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway in Sri Lanka! Also, Isuru, Simpson's Forest's Naturalist, was amazing and we highly enjoyed all our excursions with him.

A truly beautiful hideaway in the hills near Kandy, this small boutique hotel is a gem. Lovely, airy rooms with spectacular views, a wonderful infinity pool, and the warmest staff imaginable who make everyone feel special. All of the staff were so kind, with special mention to Hansi, the sweetest host, who made sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay, and Shane who managed everything beautifully, including helping us with bookings for the next part of our journey. In addition, our nature walks with their highly knowledgable guide Isuru were a particular highlight, exploring the lush landscape surrounding the property and learning more about this stunning part of Sri Lanka. Thank you for a beautiful couple of days at Simpsons Forest. We can't wait to return.
