BPR Asgiriya - Kandy is a stunning beauty located in a serene, breathtaking, and picturesque part in the center of the city. I stayed there twice last summer, on one occasion, accompanied by my family members. It was undoubtedly an exhilarating experience. It was thanks to two fabulous women, Vishmi and Shakila at the reception desk who worked tirelessly to secure the best rooms with a spectacular view of the city in order to give their guests a memorable stay. Their menu was international but the Sri Lankan curries were a culinary delight, flavorful and delicious, a rare find in Sri Lanka today. It is definitely my fave place!
I recently stayed at BPR Asgiriya during my visit to Kandy, and I had a wonderful experience. My name is Anuradha, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for comfortable and affordable accommodation, especially during the Esala Perahera season.
The rooms were clean, spacious, and well maintained, providing a relaxing environment after a busy day exploring the city. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always willing to assist with anything I needed. Their genuine hospitality made my stay even more enjoyable.
One of the biggest advantages is the location. It is conveniently situated with easy access to Kandy's main attractions and the Perahera viewing areas, while still offering a peaceful atmosphere away from the busiest streets.
The food was delicious, and the overall value for money was excellent. Whether you're travelling with family, friends, or as a couple, I believe BPR Asgiriya is a great choice for a stay in Kandy.

BPR Asgiriya is a great place to stay, offering clean and spacious rooms at a very affordable and reasonable price. The environment is comfortable and well maintained, making it ideal for a relaxing stay. The staff are friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a warm smile. Overall, it’s excellent value for money and a pleasant place to visit.
Really good hotel, it is actually a Buddhist hotel. Clean rooms, friendly staff, good size and so. My issues were :
1. Stayed here for 4 days and rooms were never cleaned
2. No fridge on the room
3. Although it's 10m walk to city center, but since located on top of the mountain, it might mean u might need a car to go up
I recently stayed at this wonderful place during my visit to Kandy, and it exceeded all expectations. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and very comfortable ; ideal for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The location is perfect, just a short distance from Kandy city, making it super convenient yet peaceful. What truly stood out was the amazing hospitality. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kandy!
