Aarunya Nature Resort & Spa

We stayed at Aarunya for one night during our honeymoon and also had Dilshan as our driver for five days travelling around Sri Lanka, and he was an absolute delight! Dilshan picked us up from our airport hotel and then spent the next five days travelling around with us as we changed accommodation every night. He genuinely went above and beyond to look after us and make our honeymoon so special. He was incredibly knowledgeable and educated us along the way, pointing out things we might otherwise have missed and even acting as our tour guide at times. He was also really flexible when our plans changed, was there for all the early starts and got us everywhere we needed to be safely and comfortably. His car was very new and comfortable, with great AC and water available at all times. We felt completely at ease with him and were genuinely sad to say goodbye at the end of the five days. He was a huge part of making our time in Sri Lanka so memorable! Our night at Aarunya itself was also lovely. The property is beautiful, the views are stunning and the accommodation is incredible. The staff were really welcoming and it definitely felt like a special place to stay on our honeymoon. The only thing we would comment on is the price. Compared with some of the other beautiful places we stayed during our trip, Aarunya was considerably more expensive. Being our honeymoon, we were happy to splurge, but we stayed somewhere else for around half the price which, for us, was probably a notch above in terms of the overall experience and service. We absolutely enjoyed our stay, but just aren’t sure the price quite reflects the value compared with some of the other incredible accommodation available in Sri Lanka. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and a huge thank you in particular to Dilshan for looking after us so well and making our honeymoon travels around Sri Lanka so special!

The warm welcome from the staff and the friendly attitude of everyone truly made our experience special. The view was absolutely breathtaking — words cannot fully describe its beauty. We stayed at the Kopi Villa, and the rooms were exceptionally clean, well-organized, and very comfortable. The private pool was incredibly calming and offered a wonderful view that made our stay even more relaxing. The food was excellent — delicious, with a perfect variety of options. We also experienced a spa treatment, which was very soothing and relaxing. The therapist did a wonderful job and made the experience truly enjoyable. Overall, it was a memorable and relaxing stay, and we sincerely appreciate the hospitality and care shown throughout our visit.

Absolutely loved our stay at Arunya Resort in Kandy. The peaceful surroundings, stunning views and calm atmosphere made it such a special place to unwind and switch off. Every meal we had was absolutely delicious and honestly one of the many highlights of the stay. Every spot around the resort felt worth sitting in and taking in the beauty of nature. The massage was also incredible and added to the whole relaxing experience. The staff were warm and welcoming throughout, and the entire property felt calm, luxurious and effortless. If anyone wants to truly experience the bliss of nature, this is the place.
