Awesome location being right next to Omicho Market. Lots of great food stops and nice restaurants around. Not too far from the train station either if you plan to keep exploring by train. Most highlights are in walking distance if you like a good walk. In house omakase restaurant was 50/50. Well presented but a little underwhelming for the price.

Well located ryokan-styled hotel with simple and minimalistic interiors that serves as a stark contrast to other hotels like APA etc. Staff are nice but when we asked for help with a luggage forwarding request, they had us scan a QR code that literally took us 3 minutes away to the loading dock of Yamato transport. There was no office there and the staff at the SOKI didn't seem to see what the problem was. We tried to reach them online too but to no avail. Other than that, the place is good. Loved the public bath with post bath refreshments. There is a laundry but one machine was broken and it was so busy - if you're looking to do laundry, just go 8 minutes down the road to the 24hr laundro that accepts credit card. Our clothes were washed and dried in less than an hour.
It’s a new and stylish hotel on a great location. It’s literally at the edge of the fish market and on walking distance to the geisha district. The lighting in the room is also pleasant. Price was a bit steep. The Onsen is new and clean but also a bit basic with a single bath and showers. Additionally, there are no towels available. But if you bring them from your room (as supposed and prepared in a basket), you don’t have any dry ones anymore as there is just one set per person.
A great hotel located on a decently quiet street central to all touristy areas with 15 mins walking radius. Room is decently sized with separate walk-in shower and toilet. Shower head pressure is amazing. Mattress is on the soft side. Highly recommended to stay here.
Great hotel - clean and modern, whilst retaining traditional Japanese character. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The rooms very spacious with everything you need (toiletries, robes, teas and snacks). We got the twin room for extra space which also came with a sofa. Having looked at other rooms, a Twin seemed to be the largest. The beds were comfy and the bathroom had a shower and a bath. The Onsen was great, very spacious, clean and modern - particularly nice after a long day of walking. On the second floor are water refill machines and washing facilities. We used the washer / driers that are coin operated. The driers didn't fully dry our clothes but likely as we washed so much. Overall the facilities are great. We didnt try the breakfast but the restaraunt looked very nice. This hotel is the Sister hotel to Yuen Shinjuku in Tokyo that we also stayed at. Whilst the hotel doesn't offer baggage shipping, there are lots of Kombini's nearby that do. The hotel did however, store our luggage for us that we shipped from Tokyo. We walked from the station to the hotel which took approx. 15 mins and is relatatively flat the whole way.
