Had a great stay here. Right next to local transit and iconic Kanazawa station. Breakfast is beyond good with everything one could want. Great friendly service throughout the stay. Concierge very helpful in booking activities for us. Rooms very clean and modern. The lobby is grand and restaurant is beautifully appointed. Every dish I had was very tasty and Blueberry cheesecake was a delight. (It’s a sliver compared to what you normally would get in USA but I appreciate the quality nevertheless and it hit the spot. Plus for about 9$ it’s a bargain. The teriyaki herb grilled chicken was also excellent. Would stay again for sure.

Reviews
I rarely write negative reviews, but on this occasion I feel compelled to do so. We arrived at the hotel at approximately 1:00 pm. As American Express Platinum members, we understood that early check-in and a one-category room upgrade are provided subject to availability. Despite the hotel appearing far from busy, neither was offered. It was only after I raised the matter that the receptionist, a French national, repeatedly had to consult her manager. The entire reception experience felt disorganised and surprisingly unprofessional. First impressions matter, and unfortunately this one was not positive. To be fair, the hotel did honour the American Express benefit of the $100 hotel credit, which we appreciated. The reception area itself was underwhelming. Rather than conveying the atmosphere of a quality hotel, it felt more akin to that of a budget property. The room was clean and functional, with views over the station, but lacked any sense of character or occasion. The bar was equally disappointing. Communication was difficult due to the limited English spoken by several members of staff, the furniture was uncomfortable, and the selection of house drinks was remarkably limited. It lacked both atmosphere and polish. The breakfast experience was perhaps the low point of the stay. The selection, presentation and overall quality reminded me of a school canteen from decades ago rather than a modern international hotel. It was so uninspiring that we chose not to return for breakfast on our second morning and instead ate elsewhere. Kanazawa is a wonderful city and deserves far better hospitality than this. There are many hotels where guests feel welcomed, valued and looked after. Sadly, this was not one of them. Would I stay here again? Only if every other hotel in Kanazawa was fully booked, closed for renovation, and struck by lightning at the same time.
Stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. There’s art pieces everywhere from the building entrance, lobby, hallways and the room itself. The room is well designed and user friendly. There are sliding doors to the sink area and this makes the room feel significantly more spacious. Location was the best part because it was at Kanazawa station. This made traveling within Kanazawa and going on day trips to Toyama, Shirakawago and Takayama extremely easy. Highly recommended!
My first stay at Hyatt Centric Kanazawa and honestly, I already don’t want to leave. We’re staying here for 3 days and 2 nights, and from the moment we arrived, this hotel immediately felt special. The location is unbeatable — literally just steps away from Kanazawa Station. Traveling around the city becomes effortless. What impressed me most was the room size. We stayed comfortably as three adults in one room, yet it still felt spacious — something quite rare in Japan. The amenities and in-room facilities were complete, modern, and thoughtfully prepared. The guest relations team was exceptionally warm and welcoming, making us feel genuinely cared for throughout the stay. The check-in experience was slightly less warm compared to the rest of the team, but still understandable and professional enough. Hyatt Centric Kanazawa delivers the perfect balance of style, comfort, and convenience. This is not just a hotel stay — it’s the kind of place that makes you wish your trip lasted longer. Definitely one of the most memorable stays I’ve had in Japan.
Solid hotel for service and location. Amenities were also great. They had a gym that did the job and also were very kid friendly. Hotel provides kid’s toothbrush and tooth paste along with small kid size slippers which our toddler loved. They also had pajamas which were super nice and comfortable and I wish they were cheaper to purchase! You can’t beat the location of this hotel either. Right by Kanazawa station. We never had issues getting anything we needed being so close to this hub. Our only negative feedback was the storage in the rooms. I know it’s the new fashion to not have much storage and dressers but for that reason it is not a hotel to stay in long term. It was hard finding a spot for everything.
