I thoroughly enjoyed my 5 night 4 day trip with Pearl Nature Safaris to Rwanda and Uganda. My third visit to Rwanda and my first to Uganda. Nothing dissapointed. Elly was a great tour guide sharing much information as we were driving. It was my third trek to the gorillas, having previously done 2 in Rwanda. Uganda trek was more difficult, but equally spectacular. The Lakes area of Uganda is spectacular and loved the 2 lodges I stayed at particularly the one at Lake Bunyoni which overlooked the whole lake. Communication prior to travel was quick and thorough. Living in Kenya myself I felt completely at ease on my trip with Elly. Highly recommend Pearl Nature Safaris.

Denis was the most excellent Tour Guide. From the initial booking to the end of our holiday (and beyond) he couldn’t have done more. He is extremely knowledgable and our whole trip was professionally and seamlessly organised. We would highly recommend Pearl Nature Holiday and we will definitely be using the Company for our next trip to East Africa.
Denis and Pearl Nature Holidays is the best. Experienced, Friendly, Knowledgeable and Professional. An unforgettable surreal experience that's breathtaking. Highly Recommend!
My family and I just returned from an exceptional 12 days with Denis who is now our good friend. He made everything about the trip so interesting and enjoyable from the gorilla and chimp treks, school visits and of course the safaris. Denis knew I was nervous about the trek( I am 80). He was able to get us on a trek that was only 45 minutes. With the help of two porters, we were able to spend an hour with a gorilla family- an experience I will never forget. We felt so safe and well cared for with Denis. The lodges were all beautiful and the food excellent. Even my picky son always managed to find something he liked. This was a trip we will not soon forget. Thank you Fenis
Most excellent adventure. Lions, leopards, giraffes, hippos, elephants, gorillas and more. Could not ask for more. Great accommodations, great guide, great food and so much fun. Truly a once on a lifetime trip,
I've just come back from an amazing vacation, planned with the assistance of Denis of Pearl Travel....I started communicating with him 6 months prior to travel, he was nothing short of BRILLIANT. Communication was efficient, and constantly available to answer my many questions as i was planning and prepping for this big adventure - that wasn't cheap. I was cautious but he made me feel safe and confident in his services and arranged everything perfectly. Initially i was changing the itinerary continually as it was evolving into what i wanted to do and see and he was patient and always available to advise and take on board all the changes along with offering great suggestions. Denis was our point of contact in person in Entebbe and when he wasn't with us he had made arrangements for other equally professional counterparts. We had a guide called Emmanuel in Bwindi who picked us up and took us through the whole gorilla trekking process until we were back on our flights to the next destination. Highly recommend Pearl and am happy to speak to anyone in person about my experience should you have any specific questions.
I wanted to come to Uganda to see the gorillas, and after reading several reviews of several tour agencies, I chose Pearl Nature. Tour guide Denis arranged a visit to the Gorillas and so much more. He chose excellent lodges for me and was by my side most of the time and when he was not then he had another person to be with me. I was never alone as a solo traveler, and I always felt safe. The experience of seeing the gorillas exhilarating, and I met some local tribes and a boat ride to see the shoe bill bird Pearl nature holidays is an excellent outfit and Denis knows how to plan, a trip of a lifetime especially for me
This holiday exceeded all expectations, 12 days, 2,000 km, we saw so many amazing wild animals and stayed in some unique eco lodges with the pinical of the holiday being the gorilla tracking... Our guide Denis spoke very good English, was very knowledgeable and tended to our every need....
Gorilla treking in Bwindi National Forest was an amazing experience. It is vastly different than being on Safari - i highly recommend this. We took a medium trek which was just perfect. We started in Kigali, Rwanda as it is closer to Bwindi than driving from Entebbe. The border crossing was easy. We got the East African Visa from the Rwanda government office. This visa is good for Rwanda, Uganda and Kenya - costs $100. At first this was unclear but after we filled out the papers online we received confirmation in 24 hours by email. At the ariport in Kigali we got the visa in our passports asap! No need to go through a tour agency for the visa which costs more money. There is also mixed information online about covid tests for Uganda - currently there is no need for a PCR test. But do have your yellow fever certificate and take Maleria medicine as this area is known to have maleria. We used Rent A Driver in Uganda for all transport and hotel reservations. I gave them the lodges i wanted and they made the bookings - it all worked very smoothly. Do not miss this adventure!
It must be said my wife and I approached this with a singular desire to see Gorillas in their natural habitat. What we did not expect, and this is solely a result of Denis from Pearl Nature and both his excellent planning and wonderful character, was to fall in Love with everything about Uganda. Denis took us on an adventure filled with breathtaking landscapes, an abundance of wildlife from the tiny weaver birds to birds of prey to the prehistoric looking but captivating Shoebill, hippos, warthogs, lions, chimps, cobs, golden monkeys, buffalo, elephants and of course gorillas. The list goes on. We trekked, sailed and was driven to some of the most wonderful places. We stayed in lodges on hills and mountains overlooking impenetrable forests, stunning lakes and beneath a sky full of stars. All of this was underpinned by Denis who provided insightful history and cultural facts as well as wonderful humour and genuine warmth. Uganda is a delight and its people full of an infectious joy. Denis himself is professional and we genuinely feel this would not have been the trip of a lifetime that we will forever remember had we not booked with him but gone through some faceless agency based in the UK. As you can see from the length of this review we struggle to truly put in to words how good this trip was. Our sincere thanks goes to Denis. Uganda - we went for the Gorillas we will return for the people. Thank you again Pearl Nature Holidays
My friends and I did a 10 day safari trip with Denis, Pearl Nature Holidays. Denis made our experience one of the best, he went out of his way to ensure us a great trip with amazing experiences. Denis booked everything in advance and sent an itinerary to us months in advance, letting us know what clothes to wear and what type of weather to expect. Initially I thought 10 days would be a drag, but each day I caught myself saying “I thought it couldn’t get better than this, and then it did.” Denis took us to a rhino sanctuary to begin with, we did a few game drives in 2 separate national parks, Kibale and Queen Elizabeth. We visited Murchison falls national park. To top it off, we went Gorilla trekking, which had to been one of my personal best experiences. We got to experience wildlife at such a close proximity and Denis did an awesome job on answering all questions, he is extremely knowledgeable. We also got to meet the community & learn about the culture and herbal medicine. This trip was one of a lifetime. I can’t wait to visit again.
Great Travel agency. Communication 5 Star! Everything, really everything worked according iternery. Our tourguide Emma picked us up in Ruanda/Lake Kivu on time, brought us to Uganda for Gorilla trekking and over lake Bunyony back to Kigali to catch out flight.
Myself and husband had a 22 day tour of Uganda with Denis from Pearl Nature Holidays . Words can not describe how fantastic it has been . Denis is a local Ugandan, ex park ranger who has a vast knowledge of his country , every question fired at him was answered promptly and correctly. We did the major wildlife sights including Rhino, Chimp and Gorilla trekking and 3 of the parks in which we saw the Big 5 and much more .Denis's tracking skills put him high above many other tour guides when he located a single tree lion hiding in Murchison Falls NP that many others drove past and failed to recognise the signs. As well as the animals we chose the cultural tour which was beyond words , we visited 7 different tribes , one of which was Denis home village , there we helped with some humanitarian work by supplying essential items such as mattresses , blankets etc ,the people and the environment were totally overwhelming . If you have the opportunity and a little spare cash , i highly recommend you do this - you won't regret it . All in all a fantastic bucket ticking holiday that shall be remembered for ever !
Denis arranged our permits. He and his team are the best! Pleasant communication, kind, well arranged. Highly recommended!
Denis was a fantastic guide who went out of his way to make our trip a memorable experience. He knew our budget limitations and was most accomodating. He literally made our trip the best it could be. Thank you Denis.
Where do I even begin? I knew I was going to love Uganda but it far exceeded my expectations. I am a travel hostess and work with local tour guides and companies to organize and execute group trips. Working with Denis was a breeze! He was always helpful, offering suggestions, presenting multiple options and so flexible when I wanted to change or add something. Upon arrival he accepted our small group with open arms and made us feel safe and special. Being an ex ranger, I feel gives him an edge on the completions too! He has connection with people ALL over the country who are working with him to help him give his guests the best experience! We saw all of the big 5, trekked with gorillas, rhinos & chimpanzees, visited the Batwa village, ate at the best restaurants (side note, Uganda has the best soup!), boat ride on lake Victoria and so much more. I highly recommend working with Pearl Nature and Denise! You will be in great hands and won’t be disappointed!!!
I absolutely loved the trip we booked. Dennis was very accommodating as I was a bit worried about booking everything online. I found Dennis’ company trough the tourist link website of Uganda and was contacting immediately. He asked my expectations and made a plan accordingly at a very good price. When we arrived we had a meeting the day before the trip was planned to inform us about all the details and introduce us to our driver. The first day we drove past the equator where Dennis had arranged a birthday cake for my birthday later that week. It was a nice touch that made this day extra special. The car we took was equipped to drive the Ugandan roads and made our 10 hour drive to Bwindi much more pleasant. The next day we did the gorilla trekking and some souvenir shopping. The third day we drove back to Kampala. Overall we had a great experience and I would definitely recommend booking your trip here. It’s a small company with kind good, hearted people that support their community and know how to treat a customer. We will be back! 😃
What a memorable experience my first trip to Uganda has been! From the time he met me on arrival at the airport to when he helped me through the initial security on departure, Denis has been an excellent knowledgeable guide, great company and a careful driver. He goes the extra mile to give his clients the best. Highly recommended.
Great service from Pearl Nature Holidays. Our driver and tour guide Denis was professional, informative and friendly. We travelled between Kampala, Queen Elizabeth Park and Fort Portal and enjoyed our trip immensely as well as feeling safe at all times with a competent driver who knows the roads and the areas well. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an exciting break in a beautiful part of Uganda.
“Wow! This trip was absolutely amazing. We were so lucky to see all of the animals, including the big 6. (Lion, leopard, elephant, rhinoceros, cape buffalo and gorilla.) There were plenty of sightings of elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, various antelopes and heaps of different monkeys. My absolute highlight was the trek to see the chimpanzees. These apes have such personality and we saw them playing, eating and it seemed as though they were having an absolute ball! The gorillas were also another highlight, and we were extremely lucky with the weather and not having to trek very far through the jungle. We were also very privileged to see 1 of the 25 tree climbing lions that live in the Queen Elizabeth National Park. The food was delicious and the accommodation, which located in some gorgeous settings, was always different (ranging from permanent tent sites to cabins to hotels and resort). Really this trip was an experience not to be missed.”
I and my boyfriend took part in David Safaris’ eight-day Uganda trip, and our tour guide/chauffeur Addison is a professional and responsible person. The road is difficult to walk, the driver must be patient and driving experience, and we are satisfied with the accommodation and the journey they arranged. Also thanks to Addison's efforts, I saw that I was looking forward to the long-awaited American leopard... It was very happy!! We were also impressed by the hiking tour of other chimpanzees and silver back gorillas. Uganda is a very beautiful African country, looking forward to the opportunity to visit again and strongly recommend David Safaris and Addison.
