Mestil Hotel & Residence is one of the best hotels on the outside skirts of the capital city Kampala which might be the best place to run if you need comfort from the city kayos and disorganization. It's well located in a traffic jam free environmentadue to the construction of the Queen's way flyover road which made it easily accessible without traffic struggles from any direction you're coming from.W It's strategically located to the advantage that u can view the whole of Kampala, kibuli, Nsambya, kibuye, railway station and rails all in one place hence giving you the best scenery of the town lights. It was set up in a way making you do your shopping with comfort since u can easily get to downtown markets of usafi, kibuye market, owino market, nakasero market, kisenyi market, kikuubo market and many vibrant supermarkets like mega standard supermarket, Fabulous freeman hypermarket, city shoppers nakasero and the biggest and very own neighbor Arena shopping mall which is just a wall away on a walkable distance of less than 100m which is not justam shopping mall but has various services of phones service and accessories, dressing and boutiques, electronic appliances, video games, various cinema halls and many more. Mestil hotel and residence is in the middle of major roads heading to the capital like gaba road via the USA embassy, nsambya road, mukwano road, kibuli road, buziga road and Entebbe road giving you freedom to any entry and exit out of town . In relation it makes it easy for airport pickups andalsot quick to the airport through the Entebbe road and gaba which links upto munyonyo and the Entebbe express highway hence making it a catch for tourists and other travelers from the airport who want to stay in the capital city. It's also strategically located in the middle of major health service centers like nsambya hospital and kibuli hospital which are just 10 mimutes away in different directions. And when we enter inside the hotel it's just like imaginary with the best meals, rooms, a very cool environment with trees everywhere giving you a calm breeze and cool air. There's also a very nice restaurant downstairs with great privacy and comfort and the parking is just perfect and safe. Beyond hotel and resting, the place also have very nice halls for weddings, birthdays, conferences and other gatherings with good lighting and beautiful spaces.a They also have a garden area for very large events with enough space for mega tents and their own parking spaces making it the best divesfied hotel with all kinds of services and luxury and with the best service provider like kirabo deluxe decor on decoration, u can't risk your wedding day to take it to another place mestil is the best indoor and outdoor venue in the capital city Kampala.

On 15 March 2026, I visited Méstil. I wanted to order some tea and a treat first, and then enjoy a nice lunch. As I am a traumatised person, it is important that nobody bothers me. Shouting and screaming are also difficult for me and can trigger my trauma. Together with police officer Acellam, I explained this to the waiters (who both wear waistcoats) working in the small Time Bar, which you reach by taking the stairs down from the entrance. After giving these clear instructions, I wanted to use the toilet, but there was a cleaning girl there who immediately bothered me, so I was forced to use the men’s toilet. After that, I ordered African tea with a muffin. It was pleasant in the Time Bar for a while, so I decided to order a nice lunch later on. But just as this lunch was being prepared, some children suddenly started pestering me. The two waiters wearing waistcoats did nothing to stop these children from bothering me. A woman also came into the Time Bar and immediately started bothering me too. Because the two waiters wearing waistcoats and the parents did nothing to stop those children from bothering me, I tried to stop them myself by closing the door to the Time Bar. At the same time, my lunch was served. Because I was being harassed, my trauma resurfaced and I couldn’t swallow a single bite. I rang Police Officer Acellam, who was sitting by the entrance, and asked him to come over. The waiters wearing waistcoats, the manager and Police Officer Acellam showed no empathy whatsoever and blamed everything on me, even though I had given clear instructions, together with Police Officer Acellam, that no one was to bother me, otherwise my trauma would resurface. I paid for the African tea and muffin but refused to pay for lunch because the waiters wearing waistcoats let those children bother me. For minutes on end, I was judged and they kept forcing me to pay for the lunch I cannot eat because my trauma was triggered by those disruptive children. They are incapable of looking at their own part in this situation and simply shift all the blame onto me, showing no empathy whatsoever. I then asked if I could speak to the manager at reception. I explained the situation to him. He then said I was free to leave. After I had left, police officer Acellam came running after me and started saying terrible things to me, so I put my fingers in my ears and asked him to leave me. In short: because the two waiters, both wearing waistcoats, failed to follow the clear instructions that no one was to bother me, my trauma resurfaced and as a result I couldn’t swallow a single bite. All the blame was shifted onto me; they showed no empathy whatsoever and I was judged. They offered no apology and I’ve even been told that I’m no longer welcome at Méstil. Believe me, I have no intention of ever returning after such a dreadful experience.
