Ben is a great guide with passion for South Africa and it's history. We came straight from the airport and Ben waited patiently to give us time to freshen up before he took us to see the most important sites of Pretoria. Something we appreciated very much. We would definitely recommend booking this trip!
This was an informative tour and Ben was quite knowledgeable! The time passes fairly quickly with interesting tidbits shared by Ben. He was always down to answer any questions we had and provided amazing customer service by taking photos of us, asking if we wanted to stop by the US embassy, and even dropping us off where we needed to be at the end of the tour!
Our guide Ben was very knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. The tour was excellent and we learnt a lot about Pretoria.
A great overview of Pretoria including the major sights. Our guide Ben was informative and has an indepth knowledge of the freezes inside the Voortrekker monument, which was extreamily interesting and educational. Admissions were included to the sites, and there is time to explore the Monument and Ditsong Kruger Museum.
Transport was included. The tour was very private, just us to and the driver. Therefore just by car. We visited 3 places, and the Foretracker Monument was the most interesting a d we got the most information. The other 2 places, we visited mostly alone.
Ben was very good, accommodated our wishes and was very pleasant. We felt safe all the time while visiting the center of Pretoria.
Really excellent trip around Pretoria including Vortrekker monument, Kruger house, downtown Pretoria & finishing wandering around beautiful gardens & viewing the 9m tall bronze Mandela monument . Brilliant educated guide👍
Thank you to Ben! He fetched us from our hotel and drove us on a historic to present day tour of Pretoria. We learned a lot about the area and some about South Africa in general. We had a great tour of the Voortrekker monument and farm grounds, Kruger house museum, and the Union buildings where the giant statue of Mandela is located. Funny story while at the statue: there were a lot of elementary students there that day and as I was climbing back up the steps two young girls said hello. I said hello back and one asked how old I am. I told her I am 70, and she said 'Wow! You're old!' : )) We drove by Church Square, beautiful Palace of Justice building, sadly an unsafe area. We highly recommend this tour, it was well worth our time.
Ben came to collect us at 9am sharp. He was warm, friendly and very knowledgeable. We visited the main sites of historical interest and had plenty of time to look around. Ben gave us lots of additional background information as we drove around and at the sites. The only negative was a lack of air conditioning in the car - we opened the windows.
Ben was a great guide showing us all the main sites to see in Pretoria. I would recommend him. Thank you for a wonderful half day
An excellent half day tour. Ben was a great guide, knowledgeable without overload. The Vortrekker Museum was amazing and it is well worth spending the extra time there. We will always think of it at noon on 16th December!
I would like to sincerely thank Ben and Isac for the incredible Pretoria Tour – Half Day Experience. They were always very attentive, made sure we were comfortable at all times, allowed us to take photos without rushing, and truly made the experience enjoyable. It was a well-organized, relaxed, and memorable tour. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area. Thank you Hominids Tours for an amazing experience! 😊
Ben was a very good guide who added a sense of fun to the trip. He allowed us plenty of time to explore the various locations and gave us an excellent detailed account of the marble freizes in the Vortrekker monument . A good value tour.

Ben was knowledgeable and very warm. Communication is easy with the team. There is a good safety as long as Ben is around and we follow his instructions. It is apparent he knows what he is doing and take great care of the participants. It was not feel too rushed and felt has a good pace.
This morning was worth leaving early without breakfast. I was with my sisters and we were really happy. Mr NKosinati was our tour guide, so welcoming and doing what he knows how to do best, he really made our day. Thanks so much 🙏 🙏 💓
Francois was a very knowledgable guide. We learnt a lot about SA history and politics. We enjoyed seeing Pretoria through the eyes of a local.
That was a fantastic trip! Ben is an easygoing, positive and very knowledgeable guy. Me and my sister were extremely satisfied with the service which we got. Ben picked us up at Johannesburg and spent with us half a day in Pretoria. We learnt lots of new information about the city and loved it a lot. Highly recommended!
Had a brilliant afternoon tour with Ben today. He is very informative and knowledgeable, extremely easy to chat with, a thoroughly charming guide. This is not a cheap tour but we felt it was worth the fee to be escorted around in safety and comfort.
This tour was very informative and saw some great sights around Pretoria. Ben my guide was super friendly and had lots of knowledge of the history. Nothing was too much trouble.
The voortrekkers museum with the beautiful view over Pretoria and surrounding gardens. And the super friendly guide Ben Modisane, he explained everything clearly and calm. He even brought me after the tour for my Hotel to the train station. Super.
Well organized for touring the most important aspects of Pretoria. We were alone in the car with the guide, which is very comfortable.
Excellent. The guide is essential for knowing what to visit.
Fantastic guide who could tell a lot about history, politics and social developments.
We arrived that day in the country, and we took advantage of that afternoon with Ben.A wonder, explaining wonderfully the history of his city Pretoria.Highly recommended!
Wenn dein Tourguide... ...all white ...friendly is ... is accommodating ...has a cold bottle of water ready ...and drive a clean, safe car. All you can say is: Perfect.
The tour with Ben was very nice. That man knows so much about history. In the few hours we have been on the road with him heard and seen a lot. Very friendly man with a lot of knowledge. With him, it's safe on the road and at all the locations we've been. Then he took us to a top restaurant The Blue Crane and waited for us to finish. Not cheap by South African standards. But it was worth it.
