Pilanesberg Shared Transfer And 3 Hour Safari

Petrus was our tour guide. He was so informative. He kept the safari very interesting. He took lots of pictures for our family and very knowledgeable

Today we went for a drive with Petrus, the ranger who has accompanied us for the last few tours and who has been absolutely delightful!! The pickup was comfortable and fast and Petrus brought us safely to the Park since he is a very good driver ;) Thanks to him we were able to enjoy a very private, incredible sunrise, only the two of us and our guide while enjoying sightings of multiple animals! A sleeping rhino as well as giraffes, zebras with babies, elephants and even a male lion were spotted due to Petrus quick responses as well as incredible vision (20/20!!) We were additionally able to see the hot airballoons going up!! He also told us many many facts about the animals and just overall made us feel very comfortable and welcomed! We can recommend this experience and him as a guide specifically for everyone, families, solo travellers or friends, just like we are! We are so glad to have had him as our guide since he is overall just a lovely person and we can only recommend him with the highest compliments! If we could give more than five stars, believe us, we would!

We had an absolutely amazing sunrise safari today! Our guide Petrus was fantastic! He is extremely knowledgeable, very friendly, and clearly passionate about what he does. We were lucky enough to be just the two of us, which made the experience feel very personal. Petrus put so much effort into making the morning Game Drive special and shared lots of interesting information with us. He also knows all the good spots and when he tells you he’s got a plan - trust him, it’s gonna be a good plan! We saw so many rhinos, also with a baby, elephants, giraffes and a male lion. The pick-up was also smooth and perfectly organised. Overall, an unforgettable experience and we would definitely recommend this tour, especially with Petrus as your guide!

Wonderful experience! Petrus was a very skilled guide: he is professional, scharp, nice and well-prepared. We had a fantastic safari, spotting also a leopard! We reccommend it!

Safari guide Petros was excellent. We really appreciated his knowledge and driving skills — he explained everything related to the game (wildlife) clearly and well. The transfer driver was also great, with good, safe driving. The lodge was fine — not top-end, but satisfactory.

We saw with the driver Petros the leopard, rhinos, elephants, 🦛 , giraffe 🦒, etc excellent experience !!!

I normally don’t write reviews, but I felt that in this case it was important to share our experience because we were very disappointed with the organisation of our safari with MO Africa Tours. We booked a 3-hour safari starting at 9:00 am. First, we were not informed that there was a shared transfer available to the safari departure point, so we had to make our own way there. Before the safari started, three people who were already there wanted to sit together. Everyone else was already seated, but they refused to get into the vehicle and tried to make everyone change seats. This was not the company’s fault, but it caused another 15–20 minute delay before we could actually start. Once the safari began, we spent most of the time stopped and moved very little around the park. However, the biggest issue happened towards the end. After stopping for a break inside the park, we got back into the vehicle, only to be told shortly afterwards to get out again because someone had come to pick us up and take us back to our car. We then discovered that we had apparently been sharing the vehicle with a group that had booked a 6-hour safari, and our guide was not aware that we were supposed to leave after 3 hours. This meant that we lost even more time from an experience that was already shorter than expected. In the end, we feel that we lost both time and money and did not receive the 3-hour safari experience we had paid for. The main problem was the lack of communication and organisation between the company and the guide. Unfortunately, we left very disappointed. We expected much better organisation from a professional safari company and, based on our experience, we would not recommend this tour.

It was the most amazing first safari experience! We were incredibly lucky and saw may different animals. Our tour guide Megan was the best! She explained very much and had interesting facts and knowledge to all animals. She always waited till I had my photos and tried to make everything possible for us! Even when it started raining it was so fun! Thank you for everything!

Booked a 3 hour afternoon safari in Pilanesberg national park through MoAfrica. Our guide Peter was amazing and had excellent communication with Anja prior to our safari.

Petrus is the best! He told us all there is to know about the park, the plants and of course the animals. He knew where to find them and how to position us to get a good look and to take pictures. His energy is contagious!

Our safari with Megan was incredible! We saw lots of animals despite the rain and Megan's passion was super contagious. I wish I could have heard her speak more, she has such a wealth of information! Even when there was a quiet stretch on the tour, she was incredibly informative about the land, wildlife and history. The rain was constant throughout the drive, but it added to the experience and highlighted the beauty of the land!

I can only say: That was a great trip! I was taken to the camp safely and went on my first gamedrive with Anja- that was amazing. It was only the two of us and we „floated“ through the park nicely- she knew exactely were to go, so we saw many birds, zebras, lions, rhinos, hippos- enjoying the evening sun. Thank you, Anja- that was a special experience!

Before booking South Africa I did not realize the prices that come with visiting safaris, but after finding this activity it was 100% the best way to see a safari on a budget. 6 hours of game drives, lunch, and transfers all included! Alex was the best!!! 10/10 recommend this activity

What a day! I was collected from my hotel by Sibusiso who drove us to the park. He was great and gave us some interesting facts during the drive there. The safari itself was incredible, our guide Anja was extremely knowledgeable and had a great instinct for where animals would be and the best ways to see them. We had some amazing close encounters with lions and elephants and also saw some rhinos amongst lots of others. It was my first safari and I will never forget it. I would recommend to all!

Anja was a great guide, she even spot a green chameleon on a green bush driving at night, on the other end we were not too lucky spotting many animals, but it's not a zoo and mother nature has her rules 😉

Anja was a fantastic guide. So knowledgeable and helpful and great communication. You can tell that she cares about the people she is guiding and the tour itself. Would definitely recommend!!

So knowledgeable and caring of what we wanted to see. He talked to us about native plants, including their medicinal purposes, and their benefit to the community. He provided colorful detail and was a lovely guide for our day. Such a wonderful experience!

We had an amazing day with T-man and D! They truly went out of their way to make sure that we had the best day possible and saw as many of the big 5 as we could. We were lucky enough to see a leopard, a lion, numerous elephants, giraffes and more! Their knowledge was amazing and we would definitely rebook again :)

The tour guide was great, he shared a lot of information about each animal we saw and about the reserve. We enjoyed the safari very much and saw many animals but felt a little bit rushed because we booked a 3-hour safari. Instead I would recommend the 6-hour option. The experience overall was great.

Triminate was great, he is knowledgable and patient. The vehicles were good, yet we found some rubish and some empty bottles when we started the safari

It was great experience of game drive in Pilanesberg park. Everybody is helpful and friendly. Everything is organised excellent. I saw many animals and very close. I had here 4 game drives, saw practically the whole Big5. 100% recommend it.

Triminate was an amazing guide, what started out rainy, became an incredible one in a life time experience!!! We saw most of the big 5, and so close to a lioness!

Beautiful nature, comfortable safari car, funny guide Trimimate, lots of positive emotions. Could see lots of birds, giraffes, elephants, buffalos, antilopes, hippos, zebras and a slight glance on lion pack. The park is very large despite our "zoo-type" expectations. Great experience, the road took 3 hours one way, left the park after almost 6 hours as in the itnerary,. Took us additional 500R per person as an admission fee. The stuff including guide Triminate was very helpful, the lunch was complete and tasty.

We got 4 out of 5 of the Big Five! Really loved the experience. Dorin helped us out—she was super nice and made sure we saw all the Big Five. She even let us try a sour plum! 😊

Great 3-hour safari topped off with a couple of close by lions at the end! Waterproofs provided when it rained. Lots of info about the wildlife.

It was a great experience! I went to the safari by myself, and the guide, Triminate, was very attentive. The reserve is beautiful, and the guide explained everything very well about the place, the animals, and the vegetation. Lunch was also amazing.

Safari was very enjoyable. The guide Mr Triminate was friendly and gave good explanation at various animal sighting spots. Only sad, since we did not see lion/leopards and mostly the other wild cats. Overall GREAT!!

Triminate was a great guide. Saw elephants bathing and walking in herds, giraffes drinking, and impalass, rhinos, hippos and wildebeest. Unfortunately the cats weren't showing themselves.
