At the Rhino and Lion Reserve, you will be overwhelmed by viewing animals in their natural habitat. It is home to a wonderful variety of wildlife such as lions, rhinos, buffaloes, cheetahs, and antelopes. We also have the opportunity to visit the animals' creche and take pictures of Lions and cheetah cubs. Please be advised that pick up and drop off at your hotel are included with the duration of 5 hours.
A great opportunity to visit many different animals in their natural habitats. Our guide was able to maneuver our vehicle to maximize our sightings of many wild animals and as such we had many opportunities for up-close photographs.
This was a great tour. We observed many animals and learned a lot from the safari guide. Our guide Griffin who provided transportation filled us in on a lot of details about South Africa on our ride up to the attraction and back to our hotel. I would definitely recommend this attraction and with this tour company.

A great safari experience if you only have half a day or one day available in Johannesburg! The trip was very well organized with Solly, the CEO checking in with me via WhatsApp the evening before the trip. Our guide, Mr. Lebo, picked us up perfectly on time. He was extremely knowledgeable and kept us entertained throughout the journey with lots of interesting stories about the history of Johannesburg and South Africa. Great Guy, Lebo! The safari itself was a great experience. We saw all kinds of animals living in the reserve, so sightings are basically guaranteed. One of the highlights was seeing the lions being fed, which allowed us to see them very close up. We had a fantastic time overall. If you have limited time in Johannesburg and want a safari experience with guaranteed animal sightings, especially lions, I can highly recommend this tour.
I booked this tour activity just for myself, solo, and was picked up and taken back to my hotel in Randburg. At the reserve site, the experience was incredible and what I'll remember in my life. The animals I saw such as: white lions, bengal tiger, rhinos, antelope, buffalos, springboks, warhogs, snakes, cheetahs, leopards, they are African majestic animals I am humbled to view. Plus the staff and the guide were helpful and clear with us visitors. Highly recommend this activity for anybody that likes to set out a day for this.
A lovely way to get fresh air and see some amazing animals. The guides were helpful and accommodating. Also the tour felt uncrowded.
We went with the bus arranged by the park. I recommend doing that instead of going in your own vehicle because they know where to park and when to park to get the best views.
Excellent service, our pickup location was not in their list, but they still picked us up from our hotel. The CEO Solly was in regular touch checking if all was as desired. The park tour was also good. We could see the big 4 - Rhino, Lion, Cheetah and Buffalo, and many more animals. The feeding time is best time to go and it is best to go in park vehicles instead of private vehicle as they know where to stop for best viewing.
Would say I had a most memorable visit Krugersdorp Reserve, one being the nice place itself and second, the guided tour service offered by Solly and team. They are very professional and the guide who was me during this visit was also very a nice person. Prior to the booking of this visit and that it got over, Solly kept an eye on this tour and followed up couple of times asking me how the tour organized by them went with me. On my way up and down to Krugersdorp I learnt alot about this beautiful country South Africa, the people, their culture and their history from this gentleman who drove me to this beautiful place. Am very much thankful to Solly and his team. Next visit I shall contact you Solly to organize more tours for me across South Africa.

It was a great introduction to South Africa’s variety of parks that offers educational game drive. This one is a private park and it does offer a chance to see White Lions, Cheetahs, Wild dogs and more up close.

The tour guide ,druver arrived punctualy at my hotel. He was very professional and pleasant. The tour van was excellent, clean, and elegant. The driver was courteous, safe and very knowledgeable of Johannesburg history, current affairs and the Rhino/Lion park. The Rhino/Lion park game drive waa well coordinated. We visited when They were feeding lions, cheetahs, wild dogs . It was a lifetime experience. We saw many different animals. It was time and money well spent.
This half day tour was perfect! Brian, our driver, was prompt, informative, and funny! The tour was wonderful, we were able to see many animals up close, and truly enjoyed the beauty of the habitat.
Our tour was changed due to the park being closed for maintenance at the last minute - I was called and we changed to the Lion & Safari tour, which was fine - the driver who picked us up was great and communication with the company was great - the tour itself was very poor - we were put into a full tour vehicle mostly filled with parents and very small children who were constantly very loud, jumping on seats, moving between seats, meltdowns etc - we were seated in the back between all the family’s so we could not hear the tour guide at all - because of the family’s, we could not take photos without the vehicle bars because they occupied and moved on all seats - the park should have speakers on the guides because they stand at the front of truck and the back cannot hear - also because we could not see, the driver moved on too quickly and we did not get a good opportunity to see close up - the park needs to put the tourists on the vehicles where they are not so obstructed and all can enjoy the experience- it was very costly to not be able to enjoy the experience because we were not moved to another vehicle - perhaps the families with small children should be kept together in one vehicle especially when they come in all together in a group
Amazing team, amazing staff. Came on time, communicated fully and was an amazing time. Fee consisted on entry ticket. Guides were amazing in finding the creatures as advertised. Would use this company again in a heartbeat.
Half Day Rhino & Lion Tour is a great tour where you get to see many different animals and it isn’t a far drive. About 1 hour drive from Joburg.
Brian picked us up right on time with a happy face and a cheery welcome. He was a gentleman and took care of our stroller, opening the door for us and helping in any way he could. The tour itself was perfect, 2 hours was long enough to see many animals (we visited on Saturday to watch the lions, wild-dogs and cheetahs feed, which was spectacular) but not too long if you have a toddler. The guide was informative and friendly. The park itself has many other activities available if you hang around after the actual safari. All laid out in beautiful surroundings, the restaurants have delicious food. Brian dropped us back at our accommodation, still with that friendly beaming smile and was helpful from the start of the trip to the end. Solly is available via WhatsApp as soon as you get your trip confirmation. His number is sent to you. He is a very responsive communicator. All in all I couldn’t fault the trip and would definitely book with them again.
Thank you to Solly for arranging this and for kindly agreeing to postpone our tour by one day when our flight into Johannesburg was cancelled - which also meant we got to see the lions and cheetahs being fed on the Saturday. The rhinos were a little uncooperative (hiding under trees some way from the track). Our driver was delightful and we were well driven.

I called the company, and Solly was incredibly understanding and went above and beyond to help us. He managed to locate us easily, had great conversations along the way, and shared wonderful recommendations for restaurants and other attractions to visit during our vacation. If you’re looking for a reliable and friendly tour company, I highly recommend booking with them — truly a 10/10 experience!

Bothongo reserve is amazing If you go on a Saturday tour in the afternoon you can see the predator feedings. Its pretty cool. They will feed the wild dogs, lions and cheetahs. This operator arranges for you to be picked up from.your hotel and dropped off. The driver dropped me off 2 hours early so there was alot of waiting around. In addition Solly did not communicate with me until 9pm the night before about the pick up time I would suggest contacting people earlier and checking your messages. I had very long excursion days prior and was in bed. It's just a suggestion but I did not deduct a star from it.
Great photo opportunities helped by very accommodating driver/ guide. Rhinos have horns intact and are strongly protected.

Brian was a polite, friendly, and efficient driver. Smooth pick up and drop off at the hotel. The reserve is very well maintained. Since I visited on a Saturday, I was able to watch the white lions, gorgeous African wild dogs, and cheetahs being fed. Spent plenty of time watching the baby white rhino. Perfect way to spend a layover day in Johannesburg.

We booked with a well known tour company who sub contracted out to Phillipians 4 Our guide picked us up at our hotel and he picked up two others, he was so courteous and informative Once at the park he had made arrangements for the 4 to receive special treatment. Phillipians 4 is a local company in Johannesburg, please cut out the middle man and book direct.

I was able to witness the feeding of the wild dogs, cheetahs, and white lions. It was an unforgettable moment. It was the first time I had seen a rhinoceros. A very beautiful experience. The return to the hotel was very peaceful ❤️

Nous avions réservé un guide français puisque cela est proposé sur le site. Cependant, nous avons eu un guide anglophone. Nous avons été prévenu en avance de cela. Le guide a été très professionnel. Il s’est adapté à notre niveau d’anglais pour nous fournir beaucoup d’explications. Pendant le trajet, il a expliqué beaucoup de choses sur le pays et la ville (démographie, système politique, histoire, …). Cela été très intéressant. Pendant l’activité, il nous a beaucoup appris sur les différents animaux (temps de gestion, explication sur les couleurs des animaux, mode de vie,…) que nous avons vus et nous laissait le temps d’observer/ prendre en photo les animaux (rhino, autruche, lions bruns et blancs, lycaons, guépard, zèbres,…).
