Visit Pilanesberg Game Reserve from Johannesburg for a full-day safari. The tour includes return transportation to the park and two 2.5-hour game drives with a highly qualified ranger in an open vehicle. On arrival your guide will take you on an exciting morning open 4x4 safari vehicle safari drive in search of the Animals that inhabit the National Park. Our guides are knowledgeable and will give you in depth information on the animal you are viewing and try their out-most to find the members of the Big 5.During the heat of the day you will enjoy lunch at one of the many rest camps in the National Park before departing on an afternoon open vehicle safari drive. Our vehicles depart the National Park between 15:30 – 16:00 in order to arrive back in Johannesburg before sunset.
Roughly 45 minutes' drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria, surrounded by the beautiful Magaliesberg mountain range, Hartbeespoort Dam, or Harties to locals, has become a hive of activity and is a very popular weekend getaway for the two cities.

He drove very carefully and confidently, making us feel safe and comfortable throughout the journey. He was attentive and considerate at all times. Our safari guide, Tiamo, was equally outstanding. He was incredibly knowledgeable, accommodating and attentive, with a fantastic sense of humour that made the day even more enjoyable. His passion and knowledge really added to the whole experience. Both Paul Simon and Tiamo went above and beyond to make the day special. Their professionalism, warmth and attention to detail made all the difference. The safari itself was absolutely amazing and an experience I would highly recommend to anyone visiting South Africa. Excellent service, wonderful people and unforgettable memories. This was an amazing experience. Our driver, Simon was very respectful and on time! He drove us to the national park and back home safely. It was a very smooth ride. Our tour at the park was also phenomenal! I forgot our guide's name, but she was incredible as well, very patient and tired her best to get us the best views and engaged with us the entire time. The bush lunch was also delicious, the chef came by to say hello and there was enough food for everyone. I will recommend you book with them, 10/10 experience!
Petrus was our tour guide. He was incredibly informative and charismatic. He checked in on how we were doing (it was hot) and answered so many questions about the animals and their habitat. We got lucky enough to see a cheetah! Highly recommend the park and the guide.
i thoroughly enjoyed this safari experience. the transport was very timely, the facilities were all clean and our guide (Petrus) was very accommodating! I would recommend eating in the morning beforehand as this is a lengthy experience!

This was amazing! My family and I had such a great time spotting the wildlife on the reserve. We don’t get to see big cats due to the weather but we had a great time and the lunch provided was very tasty.

Book for the full-day safari, and ask for Petrus! He’s an absolute legend and such a big part of what made the experience unforgettable. Knowledgeable, cheerful, thoughtful, and a great driver, he had us laughing throughout the day with his jokes and infectious energy. His regular “Are we good?!” check-ins said it all. He genuinely cared that everyone was comfortable and having a brilliant time. He brings so much warmth, humour, and personality to the game drive. It honestly wouldn’t have been the same without him. Our guide Petrus is very funny, he's the highlight of the trip! He is so knowledgeable, we saw 3 of the Big Five: elephants (lots of them!), leopard, and lion. We also saw hippos, impalas and a few other animals. The jokes were all on point and I'll be sure to bring some home to my country hahaha. There were four of us in the game vehicle and Petrus' driving is the best. He made sure to tell us whenever the road became bad. Super recommended! You are in good hands with him and the tour. Good value for money & good food too.

This was my first time in Africa, and what an unforgettable experience! I was so excited to see the animals that I had only ever seen in movies and on TV. Our tour guide was absolutely amazing! He was very experienced and knew exactly where to take us to see so many incredible animals. My only regret was not getting to see a lion, but honestly, the experience was already more than enough. I will never forget the magical sight of elephants strolling peacefully across the vast grasslands. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I will cherish forever! Highly recommended!

Niki was on time to drive is out of Johannesburg. I appreciate the quiet ride early in the morning. Upon arrival at the park we switched to open air vehicles for spotting wildlife. Lots of animals elephants, zebras, giraffe, rhinos, and hippopotamus! Also many different antelope family members. Lunch was served in a beautiful picnic area with cold beverages. Long day but worth it.
Excellent experience. We were picked up at the hotel exactly on time for a long ride to the park. The driver Niki was safe and friendly. The guide at the park was professional and we saw several of the big 5. Lunch was great. A long but fun day.

We booked easily via WhatsApp before arriving in Johannesburg. Our driver, Nicki, picked us up in a comfortable air conditioned van on time for the 3 hour drive (including a food & bathroom stop) to Pilanesberg. Our Safari driver Tman was funny, friendly & knowledgeable. We were fortunate to see lions, hippos & a giraffe within our first 10 minutes. A number of other animals followed but sadly no cheetahs or leopards to be seen. We had a delicious barbecue lunch & a cold beer with amazing views between Safari drives before the drive back to Johannesburg. I highly recommend this Safari.

Sibu is a special tour guide. He pick me up o’clock, drive be safe and put many song for the group. He told about some places, specially Soweto and recommend for us visit there. I loved the experience, I will recommend for all people ask me about what do in Jozi. I will come back as soon.

For the Safari, Martin did a great job finding the animals and making sure we got the good angles. He also shared excellent knowledge on these beautiful creatures. We had an amazing time.
Guide Tman is always there looking out for us. Small group size, nice safe drive, saw many animals. No luck for lions and leopard. Amazing lunch. Chilled throughout. Oh, the scenery in this park is amazing!

Had a great time on the tour! Sibu our driver was punctual, personal and professional. It's a big drive out to the pilanesberg national park and felt safe with his driving. The actual safari was amazing as well - our guide Martin was wonderful and was able to angle ourselves with some great views of the wildlife! He made sure we had enough time looking at each stop and explained a lot of things for us. Lunch at Fish Eagle with cold beer was amazing too! Overall great experience if you only have one day to spare.

Absolutely surreal. I was very nervous to go as a solo female but it was definitely worth it. Peter was great and driving us around and gave some information, dinner was lovely and even got a cider. Would 100% recommend whether on your own or as a group.
