Classic Flight

Had the best time.. Arranged for pickup with the company as well and they were prompt..After cup of tea we had a safety briefing then we were off..We had booked the sunrise classic flight... We had in my opinon the most experienced pilot Peet if Im not mistaken. Amazing smooth flight he had us at all the right angles for amazing photos and videos...the best part ofcourse the beautiful sunrise... Ended off with some bubbles and a delicious breakfast at the hotel...An experience we will most certainly cherish forever...Wether you doing it solo, as a couple or with family You definitely have to experience it...Thank you Air Ventures.

Pilot Jappie was an absolute gem and it was a pleasure to be " Flawn" by him. He explained things so thoroughly and made it so fun to learn about the technicalities of air balloon flying, muldersdrift surround areas and the animals. It was an absolute magical experience

What a phenomenal experience we had with Airventures. The morning started with a hot coffee at Kloofsight meeting point followed by a very informative briefing. Then the magic happened... we got to watch as the balloon inflated with the sunrise behind. The trip was nothing short of spectacular. Watching the sunrise while floating across the beautiful countryside. We saw Zebra, Giraffe and buck and plenty of stunning scenery. Our pilot was excellent. When we landed we got treated to a glass of bubbly and a tale of the history of Hot Air Ballooning followed by a scrumptious breakfast. Thank you team for a wonderful family adventure.

We had never been up in a balloon and this was a marvelous experience. The only negative was the unexplained long wait between the time we were asked to be ready and when we finally left for the balloon site. Everything else went like clockwork. We watched as the balloon was filled then were helped aboard and took off, gliding over a game preserve, watching the sun come up and the land and animals below us. There were no sounds and I felt like I was a bird looking down on the world, and it was so peaceful and serene. When it was time to land we were warned it could be very bumpy and were given safety instructions, but we barely felt the bump. Amid cheers we were helped out and were offered a glass of champagne, orange juice or a mimosa to celebrate. It was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend AirVentures to others looking for a different way to experience South Africa in the Johannesburg/Pretoria area.

This was an amazing experience. We travelled to South Africa for a safari and for this balloon ride. We spent four days on the safari and four hours on the ballon ride. We will talk about them both equally when we return home. One of the balloons had a small rip so we were delayed an hour while the staff procured an another ballon. The pilots did not hide during the delay but spent time with us to explain their passion and to show us the ballon operation up and close. Our pilot was Marc and he was a perfect mixture of talented, humble, kind and funny. We met four of the pilots in total and they all were great. My wife has a serious fear of heights, and while she could not look straight down over the basket, she really enjoyed the experience and would suggest that others with this same fear give it a go. The views were amazing and we saw wild game in the park as we flaoted by. You get to watch them inflate the balloons to get ready, and since we got replacement balloons we saw the whole process from scratch. We wish they had merchandise for sale to help us remember the trip. They had cool hats themselves, but they were not for sale. They are missing an opportunity here as we would serve as walking advertisements while we finish our South African trip. We would love to this again back home, and if we go ballooning there, this experience will serve as stiff competition!

This was my second hot air balloon ride. It was absolutely incredible. Our pilot,Te, was phenomenal. Very informative. Really knew the area. Was able to point out many different wildlife during our flight.

It was such an amazing and unique experience! Our pilot, Marc, is such a pro, so kind and funny. We felt very safe and relaxed. The views are incredible! We even flew over the rhino and lion park and saw different animals. This was truly an unforgettable morning. I will be back with family.

Marc is a great pilot, he’s informative and passionate about flying. The balloon crew were equally great in preparing the ballon for the flight and were quick to help us disembark from the balloon.

One of a kind service! The whole experience was amazing with the Cradle of Humankind AirVentures Tour. The pilot was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining, the scenery was incredible, the experience was incredible and the meal afterwards was also incredible. I recommend this greatly as an excursion very much worth the cost

Had a truly amazing experience this morning with our group going up in the balloon. Was a bit hesitant about getting up so early to make the pickup, but it really was worth it. Our pilot Te was excellent, and the overall adventure was a great way to spend our last day in Johannesburg.

What a fantastic experience. Everyone is so friendly and informative not only about the ballooning but the surrounding area and the history of it as well. Thanks to everyone from the ground staff to the pilots for making it such an enjoyable experience with humour and friendliness and making everyone feel comfortable and safe. It was well worth the cost. I would recommend it to anyone.

We took my Dad on the Classic Hot Air Balloon flight to celebrate his 80th birthday & it was a wonderful experience from start to finish! Jaapie is an excellent pilot & managed to land our basket perfectly on the trailer at the end of the flight!

Floating above the landscape in a hot air balloon was one of the most magical experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, everything was handled with care and professionalism. The team made us feel safe and excited, and the pilot Mark was incredibly skilled and knowledgeable, explaining the process and making us feel safe. After landing, we were treated to some champagne and a lovely breakfast. I can’t recommend this experience enough—it’s a beautiful blend of adventure and tranquillity that everyone should try at least once.

Fun and memorable experience. Tour guides were extremely friendly. The views from above were breathtaking. I only wished it was longer. But still worth it! They also celebrated my birthday with a cake and song which was very nice. Like a said a MUST experience.

Such an amazing experience! Our second flight with AirVentures did not disappoint. A professional team so you feel in safe hands, knowledgeable with a few very funny comments added here and there.
