Driver was waiting for me at the airport and was easy to find. Very friendly and helpful with my bags.

Unfortunately, this company does not seem to have an effective backup plan when something goes wrong, and this left us feeling very frustrated. Our flight arrived on time, and it took us around 45 minutes to collect our luggage and clear immigration and customs. However, when we exited the airport, there was no driver waiting for us with a sign displaying our name. Although the company had contacted us before the transfer, all communication was through Viator's messaging system. This meant that when we couldn't find our driver, the only way to contact the company was through Viator, which is not a real-time communication service. There is a phone number listed on Viator, but you need a local phone to call it. I also tried contacting the number via WhatsApp, but it was not connected to a WhatsApp account. After waiting for around 30 minutes, I finally received a call from the driver advising that he was on his way. The main issue was not that there was a delay, but that there appeared to be no effective way to contact the company or driver when we couldn't find each other. A reliable airport transfer service should have a clear backup process for situations like this. Based on our experience, I would not recommend using this company.

Very very informative guide. Loved the attentiveness and care the guide took throughput the tour. We had an elderly lady in our group and our guide took exceptional care of her making the entire tour memorable and perfect. Would positively recommend this tour to all.

Car and driver were not at airport when we arrived, very tired and anxious to get to our hotel. We called the tour operator and they said they would call us right back. After about 5 minutes I texted the operator who texted back that the driver had gone to the hotel and not the airport. Not sure that was true but giving the operator the benefit of the doubt, they said another driver was in the area and would be there to pick us up in 20 minutes that ended up being nearly 45 minutes. From that point on the service was as expected.

Driver was great. Contacted us while when we got off the plane. Told us where to meet when we got the luggage. He was waiting at the arrival area a day zipped us to our hotel.

Beware if you need to change your reservation. Our flight was canceled and we had already paid for transportation to a hotel. I asked to rebook for the next night. The company did not get back to me. The person who was supposed to be picking me up contacted me. They said there was nothing that could be done about moving the reservation to the next night. They offered to meet us at the airport but I would need to pay them. The original driver met us at the airport, but did not take us to the hotel. He said he had a friend who would take us to the hotel. Good news is we made it safely to the hotel but paid again. The next day I get a message from the transportation company saying. They would move my reservation. By that time we had already arrived and paid the driver. When I contacted the company, they said there was nothing they could do about it. Don’t think I will be using this company again.

Honestly, just be prepared for some laid-back vibes here. Things might not always go as planned, but everyone's super friendly and willing to help. Like, I had some check-in drama earlier, but it's Ghana – things work out. Pack patience, comfy shoes, and an adapter. Embrace the chaos, and you'll have a blast! Locals are awesome, food's great... just go with the flow.

The driver contacted us as we were landing. Our flight was 30 min late. He asked is to ley him once we were headed towards baggage claim and told us where he would wait. Driving was smooth and direct and he was very polite and professional.

It was terrible diver never showed up at 7 when our flight arrived. We waited 40 minutes dead tired and had to find a taxis to take us to the hotel. Driver called at 9 and said he was there, we were already at the hotel . The worst service very poor service will never use again and want a refund.

After traveling for 29 hours there was no one with a sign waiting for me and my husband when we arrived to Johannesburg. I had to figure out getting a taxi to our hotel. After I did this I saw where my driver was calling me on WhatsApp. I don’t understand why my driver was not there with a sign. How was I to know who he was if not there with a sign? This was very confusing. I ended up having to (deciding to tip) two men who were helping me with my luggage and get a taxi and then ultimately my driver who ultimately took me to my hotel as scheduled. Not sure I would use this service again.

Waiting with my name made it quick and easy after a long flight! A much better option than Uber or a taxi

Scam, they didn’t show up at the airport, left me stranded. I provided my flight details when booking and i arrived on time, but no one ever contacted me, and they never responded to my messages when i was looking for them at the airport arrivals. There’s no phone to call. After an hour i took a taxi, which was a nuisance on its own (given you get approached by a bunch of supposed “official taxis” and they ended up taking me in an unmarked car). Safety and overpaying was the entire reason i pre booked my transfer, and expect this Citi Shuttles to be a genuine company, but it looks like i was wrong. Still waiting for Viator to give me the refund

A little miscommunication in the beginning as to where to meet my driver but the issue was quickly sorted out and we were on our way. Driver was very courteous and friendly

Very easy to schedule a pick up time from the airport to our hotel and then later from the hotel to the airport. Drivers were prompt and we felt perfectly safe.

Mazwi was waiting when we arrived at the airport. He also handled our luggage. Only issue was he brought small car instead of SUV.

Citi Shuttle had good communication and I was able to email or What's App them for confirmation and ask Citi Shuttle to provide a larger vehicle for our party of 3 + luggage.

When you get out of the airport, your driver is there waiting for you, peace of mine, Trust and punctuality!

I was driven from the airport to a Sandton hotel. The ride was smooth, including the driver calmly avoiding a car that swerved right in front of us.

On time, friendly, and was a great drive. Sometimes it scary to walk around South Africa so it was a pleaure having such a professional driver.

We booked a return transfer in Johannesburg and could not have asked for a better experience. We were met at the airport by Mr. Ahmed, who helped us to his vehicle with our bags. He asked us about our lodging and how we had picked that location, and gave us a little background on the area as we drove there. When we got to our hotel, the power in the neighborhood had been shut off, but Mr. Ahmed stuck with us, offered to drive us to a different area and help us find a new hotel. It was also after 9pm, so we knew our options were limited. We ended up going to two different hotels before we found one that had vacancy, it would not have been an easy process without the assistance and guidance of Mr. Ahmed. We were so grateful that he was our driver that evening, and were so lucky again when he brought us back to the airport for our departure flight. He was so kind and gracious, and we were so lucky to have met him. We cannot say enough wonderful things about this transfer experience!

This is a great tour, super informative and interesting. Our guide Tsholo was very knowledgeable and made the tour a fantastic learning experience. The tour was structured in a way that gave us a real appreciation for the disparities in wealth in Joburg, and the struggle for personal and economic freedom from apartheid. Tsholo led us on an informative and impactful tour of the Apartheid Museum, and has encyclopedic knowledge of the history of apartheid. You will learn a lot about Joburg and South Africa on this tour and it will greatly enhance your visit.
