Villa Simonne

This is exceptional. Really exceptional. I have not yet finished my stay, but felt compelled to put a review on as I am worried I may forget about something. First of all the people and the service, really great, accommodating and pleased to be of assistance wherever possible. Reassuring and a delight. The property is beautifully designed and a really welcome sight when arriving back after a day of Johannesburg. Let me tell you more about the rooms - they are detailed in the theme they are situated in. Really, it’s amazing, as it was quiet they took me around to view the rooms as they are proud of them, and by jove they should be. It’s a great place for a multi family stay where each family can be in a different room. It is not at all tacky, it’s done wonderfully well. Honestly one will have to stay and be lucky to view at least one other room. I can see how events would also be popular here, the garden has all the facilities you would need for a highly formal or even an informal gathering. It’s already my favourite hotel in Johannesburg, it is unique, enchanting and a pleasure to be a guest in.

Calvin gave us the most excellent service and made this place worthy of 5 stars. Without Calvin I'd say it's around 4 stars. We stayed in the Mykonos room which was great for our 4 person family. The layout of the rooms was quite strange but it worked fine. Breakfast was delicious. About a 10 minute drive to Rosebank where there is a ton of shopping and food.

Villa Simonne was a lovely place and we enjoyed our stay. Very friendly and helpful staff, breakfast was divine. Vehicle safety was good. Thank you for the spoil
