Not sure who designed the wheelchair parking bays or who signed off on them, because they are far from being wheelchair-friendly. There are only two bays near the entrance. One on the left is effectively unusable because cars parked at a 90-degree angle behind it obstruct access. The second barely accommodates a vehicle, leaving no extra space to open the door and get a wheelchair user in or out. Accessible parking bays need additional width and transfer space - you can’t simply paint a wheelchair symbol on a standard parking bay and call it accessible... The right bay is equally problematic. The door on the right opens into a pillar, while the door on the left opens directly onto the ramp, leaving no flat, stable surface to position a wheelchair for a safe transfer back into / out the vehicle. Accessibility is about more than simply providing a standard bay close to a door. It’s about whether a person can actually use it safely and independently. A disappointing first impression at a hotel people supposedly rave about. I won’t be rushing back. For all the hype, it was average at best.

A great hotel in the city, with a good location and atmosphere. My room was beautiful and spacious, and everything was perfect. The room has all the necessary amenities for guests. You can relax in your room with a view of the entire city. The staff was very friendly, always helpful, and smiling. A wonderful restaurant, with stunning views from the tallest bar in Africa, and a modern breakfast in the lobby. The entire stay was wonderful. I highly recommend it.
I visited the building while delivering flowers to Aurum Restaurant, and I was genuinely impressed by the level of service I received from the security team 💯As someone who is claustrophobic and unable to use lifts, navigating large buildings can sometimes be stressful. However, the security staff went above and beyond to make my experience comfortable and hassle-free😅I was warmly directed to convenient parking. The security officer took the time to understand my situation and personally guided me to the correct staircase, ensuring I could access the restaurant comfortably. What stood out even more was that every security guard I encountered was equally friendly, professional, and eager to assist👌🏿 It is rare to find a team that consistently provides such outstanding customer service. Their positive attitudes, willingness to help, and genuine smiles created a welcoming atmosphere throughout the property. It is clear that they take pride in their work and enjoy what they do🤏🏿 The building seems well-maintained, secure, and professionally managed, contributing to an overall excellent experience. In a world where exceptional service can be hard to come by, this team truly sets the standard. Thank you to the security staff for making what could have been a stressful visit such a pleasant one 🌸
Formal Complaint – Access Control Failure and Risk Exposure The continued failure of the ADMYT system at The Leonardo has reached a point that is no longer a matter of inconvenience, but one of operational failure, safety risk, and potential liability exposure. Residents are routinely being denied access to their own residences, effectively being locked in or out due to a system that is unreliable and clearly not fit for purpose. This is not an isolated issue — it is persistent and systemic. From a risk and compliance perspective, this raises serious concerns: • Denial of access to one’s residence may constitute a breach of basic residential rights and contractual obligations. • Emergency risk exposure is unacceptable — any system that fails during a medical, fire, or security incident creates direct liability. • The continued reliance on a third-party provider that is demonstrably failing reflects poor vendor management and oversight. • This situation is actively damaging the reputation and standing of the building. I have resided at The Leonardo for five years without issue. The introduction and continued use of this system has fundamentally degraded the living standard. Should this matter not be addressed immediately and decisively, I will have no alternative but to: • Reconsider my tenancy, • Formally escalate the matter through the appropriate regulatory and legal channels, and • Seek recourse for any losses or risks incurred as a result of these ongoing failures. This is now a management accountability issue, not a technical inconvenience. Rectify the system, replace the provider, or implement a reliable contingency — immediately.
This review has mixed emotions tied to it, because my stay was brilliant in regards to the rooms and cleanliness and experience, however the little details matter. Your receptionists got our booking wrong and only informed us on the day of checkout that we were eligible to eat breakfast the entire time (Even though we clarified this multiple times when we were checking in). After having paid for breakfast for myself throughout my entire stay I was then told I can’t be refunded for any of the meals, even though the fault was on your side. It’s an amazing experience to stay here but the service was unfortunately lacking. I definitely won’t be returning here.
