Private Tour Jerusalem Old City

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful experience in the old city of Jerusalem led by Chava. She is incredibly well informed, and knows the ins and outs of this highly complex historical place. What a special experience as she wove in the multiple historical levels of history to help bring this city’s significance alive.

We had a wonderful day tour of Old Jerusalem with our tour guide, Menno. Menno was responsive and accommodating from the time we booked our tour. Before we had even left for Israel, he messaged us to answer our questions and give suggestions for our tour as well as ideas for the rest of our trip. On the tour, we felt like we got a great overview that included all of the major sights we wanted to see in the Old City. Menno was enthusiastic, personable, and knowledgeable and did a nice job explaining the historical context for everything we were seeing. Despite what may be happening in the world, we felt very safe and thoroughly enjoyed our tour as well as the rest of our trip to Israel, which has so much history and life to offer its visitors.

Menno was a fantastic, fantastic guide. He captivated my 6yo son with historical facts about Israel and Jerusalem for 8hrs straight and went toe-to-toe with 90 year old father impressing him with his knowledge of the same. Highly recommend.

I came without thinking for the first time to Jerusalem, being from Holland, when I heard that there were very few tourists. I am 68 and walk not too good, so it was an enterprise. I contacted a guide, Menno de Vries and he was just wonderful, he gave a great tour to Jerusalem, having a lot of knowledge of the history and he also arranged for me to get baptized. He filmed the baptism and later he carried my bag as usual. He also helped me to find and book a great hotel at the Via Dolorosa. I could totally rely on him for everything, good restaurants, changing money etc. but you can also learn about politics today, he is very nice to talk to. I couldn't have imagined a better guide, he was a real gift. Now I have beautiful memories of Jerusalem. Janine Rhijnsburger

My wife and I had a wonderful three-day guided tour with Monica in Telaviv and Jerusalem. She is very knowledgeable, friendly, dedicated and efficient. She goes the extra mile to understand what you want to see and do, and adjusts the itinerary accordingly. She carries around a file with large pictures and maps which are very helpful as visual aids to her explanations.

Because of knowledge of the stories and history, the archaeological layers get much more interesting to watch and experience. Menno has a lot of knowledge about it and nice to hear his answer on our questions.

I had a great tour and a fun time with Menno who is very knowledgeable of the city and its history. I particularly liked the way he linked the ancient history with what we see today. Also, I had a day on my own (with no tour guide) and Menno gave me great recommendations. I hesitated to take a private tour but I’m glad I did, it was totally worth it!

We really recommend this tour. We did a private tour with Menno on Christmas Day, and visited the holy sites for all 3 religions in the city. During the 6 hour tour we arrived to many places we would have never gotten to had we not had a knowledgeable and local guide, so we think this tour is truly a must for anyone who wants to visit the old city!

Absolutely fantastic day out in The Old City of Jerusalem. We arranged a private tour with Jeremy as our guide and it was exactly what we had hoped for. We were taken to all the places we wanted to visit and had plenty of information provided by Jeremy. As a tour guide, Jeremy had a very natural way about him and the information he provided us about the City did not feel over rehearsed. The pace of the tour was very relaxed, stopping were we wanting but at the same time ensuring we got to see everything we had on the list. Jeremy was also great with our kids. A fantastic day out!

We just did a full day tour of Jerusalem with my 3 boys, 13,11 and 8 years old. We loved every minute of it, we had Amit Musaei as our guide, he did an amazing job, he kept kids interested for the entire 10 hours. We saw and learned so many things it truly was one of the most unique experiences we have ever had. It’s def a must to book with Amit, he’s extremely knowledgeable and very cool, able to accommodate our requests. Cant rave enough about our experience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Leontine is a very experienced and a knowledgeable guide! She took us through years of history, tailoring the tour to our interests. Leontine also ensured we have great experience taking us to secret spots to take pictures and showing us shortcuts to reduce waiting times.

There are so much to see at the Old Town and Shlomo, our guide really tied everything together into one storyline and made this a visit that we will remember for the rest of our lives. I’d highly recommend this tour and I hope the other guides are as good as Shlomo. Definite worth the extra cost for the private tour because of the more intimate setting.

Fantastic 5 hour guided tour of Jerusalem with Agustina, an excellent guide with great knowledge of the history and monuments of the old town. We were a Spanish family of 9 and Agustina provided the perfect balance of facts, dates, culture information on economic and social aspects and anecdotes. A magic tour! We found Amazing Jerusalem on the Internet. Menno immediately proved to be an organizer that listen to his customers. He was able to put together a private and personal tour for us that gave us an historic view as well as up to date understanding of modern Israel. Think about what you want to see and talk to Menno. He can put together a well-balanced tour that gives you everting from religious background to modern cousin and wine making. A private tour might cost a bit more but the chance to interaction with Menno and his guides is well worth it.

We were delighted with our private tour of the Old City of Jerusalem with Shimon. All aspects of it from the planning by email to the day itself went very well. Shimon was very knowledgeable and really made the city “come to life” for us and our sons. I had the best possible experience with Eva. She and I had a private 7 hour hour of the old city, the Mount of Olives and the Garden of Gethsemane. I was so impressed at how she balanced the information of what tradition says and what archeology can prove. We both loved when tradition and archeology said the same thing. She had a great sense of humor, she was willing to go at my pace (not too fast), and I genuinely enjoyed her company and spending time with her. I cannot recommend this enough.

I want to thank you for your Service. Our guide, Gabi gave us a very good private tour for our group of six persons in German language. He was easy to contact and informed us upfront about problems with the opening times of the holy grave and he was concerned, that he cannot offer us the promissed visit. Due to this we could adjust our schedule and visited it earlier by ourselves. Which was impressive, as there was no line (Wednesday before Eastern '22) The Tour on Thursday was very informative and especially the Temple Mount was a highlight. We got also good background information and we all understood why "It is complicated" there. We enjoyed the unbiased presentation of the history and the current situation. He was also adjusting the tour to our needs. and we enjoyed especially the pointing out of details and realized what we missed during an unguided visit several years ago.

I signed up for the 5-hour tour of Old Jerusalem and it was amazing! Leo was very knowledgeable and was a fantastic guide. Since this was a private tour, I was able to move at my pace (quite brisk, in my opinion!) and it felt much more personalized. Just let Leo know what it is you would like to get out of the tour, and she will accommodate you. Highly, HIGHLY, recommend this tour! 11/10!

Alan Harkavy guided us through the old city of Jerusalem. He managed to give us a good insight of the 3000 years of history, as well as the way the various religions are connected to each other. Today we had a great tour with the vety nice guide Efrat through the old city of Jerusalem. She guided our familie through the most interesting and beautiful streets and buildings of the old city. Not only explaining everything about these important places in historie but she also gave us a better insight in the complexity of the situation in this city and tje country of Israël. Everything in a objective and very enthusiastic way. She picked us up at the hotel at 9 AM and before we knew it was 5 hours later when the tour ended in the Church on the top of Golgotha. It was really worth it. It was our first time and i can advice everybody to book this wonderful, professional and very nice guide. Going by yourself you will mis so many of all this special places and the meaning of it in history.

Myself and my two children , 18 and 21, spent 4 very exciting hours with Leontine being guided through Old City of Jerusalem. I had done the walk of these historic sites before with a good guide, it was still so worth while as. Leontine have all the background to these very complex and intertvined events of 3000 years or so. So enriching and fun! My kids were really bubbling with impressions afterward and we had so many interesting discussion afterwards. Leontine also showed us the best (the best) hummus place!! Thanks Leontine!!
