I decided to take my husband on this tour as it was his first time in Israel. We were happy to be able to see so much just in one day. However, we were disappointed with how disorganized the tour was. The biggest thing for us was that the driver was saying we weren’t going to be going to The Dead Sea. This was the highlight and main reason we booked the tour. After arguing with the driver We had to contact whoever was in charge and they told the driver we would be going to the Dead Sea. We were happy we got to see the places we wanted to however the disorganization did take away from our experience.

Best to bring your own food and water. The refreshments sold at the venues seemed very expensive to purchase.
Customer service was great, when I was buying the ticket and applying a coupon the dates auto change to the next day. The representative was able to changed to the correct date. Thank you!
Great time exploring with our family at Masada & the Dead Sea. Very beautiful views and much history to be learned.
Great trip Ariel was an excellent guide. Gave great information at Masada. . Dead Sea was a great experience
This was a fascinating tour, made outstanding by our guide, Ariel Mielnik. He took great care that we were well-hydrated, with lots of comfort stops, as well as being a great storyteller and fountain of information.
The guide was well informed on all aspects of the tour, willing to answer all questions and always told us what to expect.
Outstanding day! We left crazy early to get to Masasa, and walked up the snake trail in the dark to see sunrise. After sunrise had just under an hour to walk around on top before heading back on foot. If you walk any mountain paths you should be able to do this, there's no altitude. Then a brief stop at Ein Geri nature center, no 2nd mountain you have to do but some short stair climbs, make sure you see all 3 waterfalls. Number 3 is the best! The Dead Sea is an experience you should do. Float and get in the mud and rinse off. Shmuel is great at this, he gets you there and tells you everything you need to know and reminds you of the schedule so you get back in time for everything else. You can leave your stuff on the bus so you only take what you need for that part of the trip. Bring some water for the day, can refill before and after Ein Gedi. This is an active trip with transport and instruction before each place, but no hand-holding during. Very happy we chose this trip, the scheduling and execution were both A+
Well organized trip to Masada Dead Swa and nature reserve. Excellent bus driver and guide. Coming backbto Israel with wife and will do it again.
Best naked in the Dead Sea experience, you can float in mud and enjoy yourself, it's a float experience.
I wasn’t expecting much except the Dead Sea but the other spots were great and honestly you don’t want more than a few hours at the Dead Sea. It was a great experience we will value forever.
I wasn’t sure what to expect based on the mixed reviews, but my family had a very positive experience. Our driver, Samy, narrated a good part of the bus ride, so we knew what we were looking at, some history/culture, and the historical significance of the places we were going to. My family thought we had just the right amount of time at Ein Gedi, Masada, and the Dead Sea. There were no lines to pay entrance fees at Ein Gedi and Masada, and no entrance fee at all for the Dead Sea. Everything ran quite smoothly. If you are looking for a personal experience, this is not the tour for you, but if you’d like an overview of these areas at a reasonable price it works well.
This tour was amazing! Samuel was our driver for the day and his stories on the way were super interesting. He gave us plenty of time at all the stops and the nature reserves were absolutely magnificent
Had a great time with this group tour by Abraham Tours. Nofar was a great tour guide and we had a great tour driver too. There's enough time to see and enjoy the spots. I highly recommend.
A very enjoyable day. Our bus was very comfortable and roomy. The driver was always clear in his instructions and what time we had to enjoy each stop. He made sure we were all accounted for before departing. He was not a guide, but the Abraham Tours app has great information on Masada and Ein Gedi. Masada is impressive! Access from the Visitor Center is by cable car, or a very steep hike. Points of interest are noted with signs in English. Views are incredible! A short film back at the Visitor Center shows some of the history and archeological work. Apparently there is an additional fee for the museum. Ein Gedi is a Nature Preserve near the Dead Sea. There are several hiking trails to choose from. A lovely little waterfall was being enjoyed by a good many schoolchildren on end-of-year outings. Trees and shrubs are well-identified, as well as info on the surroundings and wildlife. If you're lucky, you can spot Ibex goats too. The Visitor Center has a water 💧 bottle refill station (no charge) in addition to snacks, sandwiches, cold drinks and souvenirs. Kalia Beach on the Dead Sea was our last stop. Ladies' and Men's changing rooms are available. Can't speak for the Men's, but the Ladies' had showers and secure lockers for your belongings. 15 ILS for all day access and by pass code, no key to lose. Several bars and snack bars, gift shops etc. Beach umbrellas and chairs, lounges are provided. Going in the water was really quite an experience! Great fun! Just wish we had more time there. By time you change, go to the beach ⛱, change back, and get something to eat or to go, time here was short. Perhaps Abraham Tours will consider offering 2 full day tours in addition to this one. Masada and Ein Gedi, and one for the Dead Sea beach.
A well run trip in a clean air conditioned coach and knowledgeable guide. Masada was the highlight, an incredible story. Then onto Ein Gedi reserve which was interesting but no wildlife about due to the heat at this time of year and then onto the Dead Sea resort. Now this was a bit of a shock. Sadly, the 'Sea' is in a bit of a sorry state due to shrinkage and the shoreline is now exposed slippery rocks and mud. While it is fun floating in the water it is not a nice beach and everyone is crammed into a very small area. Definitely take beach shoes.
This was the 3rd tour we took with Abraham, we didn't want to get up at 2am so we opted for the trip that was done by cable car that left at 7:30am. Even if the path had been open, we wouldn't have done it in the hot blazing sun. The tour is self guided but our driver, Samuel, was full of information that he shared as we headed to Ein Gedi, Masada and the Dead Sea. Entrance fees at Ein Gedi and Masada are extra, credit cards accepted at both. At Ein Gedi, we had just enough time to do the water fall loop, you can take a brief dunk to cool off. On the way out we saw a few ibex. At Masada we took the cable car up after watching a brief movie about the story of the siege by the Romans against the rebels. You can wander around the site, looking at the ruins of the fortress and the outline of the Roman camps at the base. The final stop, the Dead Sea. Samuel rattled off a list of warnings-don't swim, dive, drink the water, float on your stomach or stay in for longer than 20 minutes at a time. So I floated, put on some mud, washed it off, floated some more. There are showers, changing facilities, shops, a restaurant/bar. Admission was included with the tour. Bring swim suits, water (there are places to fill a bottle if needed), snacks. Towels are provided.
Ensure u know u need to pay for entry, driver did nt say a word so basically a taxi service Company are theives don t expect a refund even if u give 48 hrs notice, I do not recommend this to anyone. Viator are better
The tour was great, it was on time, bus was comfortable, guide was only on bus taking about what we were going to see, then self guided. You didn't need a guide for this. You can read about everything on the app. I would use them again. Very friendly people on a hostel tour group.
Metsada was amazing but Ein Gedi and Kalia Beach were a bit disappointing. The Ein Gedi walk was quite rushed, and older people turned back due to the rocky climbs. Kalia Beach is part of the Dead Sea, but the infrastructure there is bare-bones, with entry ramps too high. Some visitors slipped and fell, which is quite dangerous in the ultra salty water. We didn't eat lunch til 400pm, and that was on the bus home.
I scheduled a Masada/Dead Sea tour through Bein Harim & Dorit Epstein was an EXCEELLENT Tour Guide -so knowledgeable of the sites & pointing out all the sites along the way--her guidance through Masada was outstanding--i would recommend her highly
Jonathon was a great guide, thank you! Saw 3 very cool spots in a short time with minimal hassle. We’ll organised.
The three places we visited were excellent. No security issues at all. Just about the right amount of time. No stop for food all day but you could eat at the Dead Sea if you didn’t want to float! So bring food and have breakfast if you can. The wifi on the bus followed us everywhere with good signal strength- it is a pity no one knew the password. It was not one of the half dozen they suggested. A bit amateurish but not a real problem for this trip, but I would not book a trip to Petra with this organization.
Masada was breathtaking and the En Gedi hike so beautiful. I really didn’t know what an Oasis was like. The Dead Sea experience is very touristy - but I enjoyed it. This was a self guided tour but Abraham tours sent an unofficial guide to assist us. He was friendly and gave an Israeli perspective Would go again. Very easy to pickup the tour at Abraham Hostel.
This is a great way to visit Masada, Ein Gedi, and the Dead Sea. The bus was very comfortable and we really enjoyed the fact that it was self-guided, so we weren’t going through the sites in a pack of 20+ people. The free materials provided in the Abraham Tours app provided interesting information on each of the sights. Additionally, we felt that we had enough time at each place to fully explore.
Great tour. Super mix of sites. Great leader who made the bus rides fun and engaging. I’m glad I went.
I am very disappointed as there were 3 sites on the itinerary, however we only did 2 in this tour. We visited Masada first, and then the Dead Sea. Ein Gedi was apparently closed even though there was not much rain. Instead of Ein Gedi, we went to Enot Tsukim,, however after standing there for 10 minutes waiting for entry, the guide and bus drive decided that we are not going to go inside for for some reason, and went straight to the Dead Sea instead. For 280 shekels visiting this two sites only, I could have taken the bus instead for 1/10th of the price. And spend more time at Masada, or at the Dead Sea. The guide was not very friendly either. I sent my feedback to Abraham Tours company, they not even bothered to reply. This tour is literally a bus drive to these locations, it does not provide anything else. Do yourself a favor and use a different company, or go with the local bus.
I did 7:30 am Masada, Ein Gedi, & Dead Sea Tour was amazing love it so much that signed up again, but this time was the 4:30 Am Hiking Masada for the Sunrise, then I did Best of West Bank that takes you to Jericho, Bethlehem, Bet'El, and Ramallah, and on my last day did Desert Jeep Tour that is outstanding, every penny I spent on those trips were amazing! Next time I am in Jerusalem for sure will do them again! Highly recommend them all.
The tour was well run and the driver was a delight. We are thrilled we chose that tour. The bus was comfortable and air conditioned. The timings at each stop were well chosen and we neither felt rushed or bored.
Did the Dead Sea, Masada and Ein Gedi Nature tour in Early September, and it was just perfect. Samuel(the driver) was so knowledgeable and kind, and the whole vibe was very laid back, making it perfect. Just signed up for Petra tour with them, and expectations are high.
At En Gedi reservation and at Massada point, we could have a bit longer times. It Was a bit short. Except that, wonderful experience!
The tour was very interesting and well worth the money. Several things though: 1) if you want to really try out the Dead Sea, on this tour you don’t get enough time. Do instead the Chilling at t Dead Sea by the same company, or spend the money for an overnight stay at a Dead Sea resort hotel. 2) there are some logistics to be aware of: a) One person shd stay out of t water and take pictures then switch. 2 ppl getting salty and muddy at t same time makes pics difficult. b) don’t forget water shoes or slippers- the packed/dry mud on t beach is Hot! The mud in t water is very slippery and you sink like quicksand. c) keep t towels in yr bag until showering-it’ll get muddy. Try not to wear white this day LOL Otherwise the Masada visit was very interesting and informative. We wld’ve left out En Gedi and given more time to t other 2.
I have mixed feelings - on one hand I’m ok with it because of the price I payed - which was 180 for two people and I’ve been to the Dead Sea resorts before - on the other I’m not sure I would book this tour if I was a new tourist that has never visited here before. The second most annoying part is that you have to wait in line for tickets and entry because it’s not included- which takes away from the limited time you have at each location. The most annoying part is that at the end of the day they take you to probably the worst Dead Sea beach I’ve been to- probably because they get a kick back. I hope other tourists don’t think this is what all Dead Sea Beaches are like.
I should start by saying Masada is awesome and you should definitely go at sunrise, and the Dead Sea is worth visiting too -- but you should not go to either with this tour company. The 2nd star is really for the two destinations. The bus for this tour was too small for the group; there were only 2 seats available when we got on in Jerusalem, and even then only after we woke people up and forced them to move. It was also uncomfortable and hot (A/C barely working) even at 3a in the morning. At the end of the day, they were running late, so the driver randomly decided to drop us off near the old city (20 minutes from the pickup), and we had to take a cab back to the pickup point. Apart from the bus, there was no organization at Masada other than to point people toward the ticket booth, and to require people to return by 7:45a. They provide nothing other than (uncomfortable) transportation. What we didn’t know until we got there, was that the tram that runs from the top down does not start until 8a. But we were not allowed to take the tram because they wanted us down 15 minutes earlier at 7:45a. That was not in the marketing material and made for a very hot walk down a steep path when we were already tired from the early morning climb. The walk up at sunrise is what we paid for, but why would anyone want to walk down from the top in the heat when there is a tram sitting right there?!? Overall this seemed like a very low-rent/high volume operation, which I would encourage people to avoid.
Our driver, Samuel was absolutely fantastic and provided a really informative and engaging commentary on the area as we travelled the route. Every stop (En Gedi, Masada and the Dead Sea) were unsurprisingly incredible. Despite our initial concerns that the time at each stop could be a bit short, but the time allotted was definitely sufficient and we never left a location feeling unsatisfied. The bus was very comfortable with air conditioning, and we felt safe throughout. If you have Samuel as a driver, you are in for an absolutely wonderful time.
While we expected this to be a self-guided tour with transportation, we ended up with an informative and interesting guide. The bus was comfortable and the group was well-organized. Things went very fast and we would love to have had more time at some of them. Masada felt just about right: a shorter visit but enough time to see it and hear the story since it was hot. Ein Gedi went very quickly and we would love to spend another day there, especially in cooler weather, but we were able to so some hiking to a small waterfall and we enjoyed it. The Dead Sea is an interesting experience! It's not really a swimming/hang out on the beach type of beach but it is a one of a kind experience to do at least once in life! We vastly preferred the larger busses on Abraham Tours to the smaller busses on another tour since they were more spacious, even though that meant the group itself was larger.
Great way to visit the dead sea. Well organized, and nice driver with a lot of knowledge about the area.
Excellent, informative, affordable. Lots to explore. It Rocks in its historical significance. Fun and worth your family exercise worth.
Very beautiful landscape, wonderful archeology and relax in dead sea, The guide explained so much hiytory and about the history of dead sea.
The tour was great!! I was very lucky to get Uriel as a guide who not only organized the logistics perfectly but also accompanied us to every single stop on the tour and explained the history and background in a very detailed way. It was so interesting to hear all about Masada and also about the „dying“ of the Dead Sea, and he answered all our questions very kindly. There was also a friendly and safe driver with us and the bus was comfortable. I can highly recommend the tour!!
Tours through Abraham tours are highly recommended. The organization of tours, the drivers & the guides are extremely professional. I went to places which would have not been possible if I'd gone on my own. In my opinion, the tours were rushed though. Having said that - and since we had a packed day - I was glad to be back in the hostel. Thank you Abraham tours.
A full day where we got to see a lot. Perfect timing in each place. Only thing that bothered us was that the bus is small and not fit for very tall people. Nice driver!
I didn't really know that much about Masada until it became a part of the trip my wife and I took with 206 Tours and our Church. As we first approached the area by bus, this looming mountain began to encompass our total view. To get to the mountain top, we rode in a tram, something similar to what a group of skiers would ride going up mountain slops. It was picturesque and not for those fearing heights. Once we disembarked, there was a slight walk along the cliffside up to the mountain plateau. There, our guide informed us of the life of the Jewish families who occupied this site during the time it was the summer home of King Herod. It was mind-boggling to visualize how water and food had to be trekked up to the top manually. Then to hear how the residents who remained after Herod's death, decided to confront the invading Roman army, was ,again, hard to imagine and harder to accept. You need to be there to understand the entire story, the history of this place, and how it instills such cultural pride in being Jewish.
The trip started and ended on time.our driver was very informative and courteous. I really recommend this trip and we’ll do it again when we visit.
Well organised for toilet stops. Great knowledgeable guide but sore throat hampered his conversation and quantity of information provided.
Really enjoyed everything so interesting and so much fun and nice views amazing thing's recamandid for all
I took this trip with my 13 year old daughter while in Jerusalem on a whistle stop 3 day trip. It was a great way to experience the Dead Sea (a highlight) while also seeing some sights outside the city itself. The Ein Gedi nature reserve was lovely, very scenic with an easy 20 minute hike up to David's Waterfall. Madasa was fascinating, we took the cable car in both directions but there was the opportunity to hike up (50 mins) or down (45 mins). Hiking would have meant less time on the plateau itself though. Floating in the Dead Sea was wonderful and lived up to expectations. The trip itself was well organised with an informative and friendly guide, Hain, We were collected from the Jaffa Gate outside the Old City, very easy to find the pick up point, and the bus arrived exactly on time. It's worth downloading the Abraham Tours app in advance. This gives information on each place visited- this is an unguided tour so, as well as picking up leaflets at Ein Gedi and Masada, it's useful to have the app for more info. Masada in particular would have been puzzling without it! Overall a great tour - highly recommend.
I recommend you to visit Masada,Ein Gedi and Dead Sea with this tour. The driver Shumlik has lived for many years near Dead Sea and he knows well about the area.
If you are thinking of doing the walk up beware of the summer months, it would be dreadfully hot. The dead sea is too far to walk also.
Itinerary not well communicated. Upon crossing back into Israel on 2nd day you are dropped off at a shopping center to wait 5 hours without anything to do while you wait for the bus to return to Jerusalem. Had these details been revealed I could have structured my time better. In tact 5 people broke off from the group and paid to take a bus back to Jerusalem. However, based on the cost of the tour I waited the 5 hours.
