Religious visitors should stay away. The hotel allows late night, immodest and loud roof top events that go past 11 pm (against City rules), including during the 3 weeks of mourning for Jerusalem (which is now) despite being in the heart of the Holy City! Do yourself a favor and go to Waldorf instead.
If I could give this 6 stars I would have. From the front desk to the rooms and the service from everyone, not to mention the location and the rooftop bar / restaurant you really can’t beat this hotel.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about the hotel! With our Amex we are allowed an early check-in and a late checkout, which we were granted. But due to the lack of tourism in Israel, we got an extra early were able to stay extra late which was bittersweet. Rachel at the front desk went above and beyond with helping us with many issues, ested everyone at the front desk and throughout the hotel. The buffet was beautiful but it was disheartening as there were only four people in the dining room that morning. The hotel was pretty empty and as alarms had gone off again that day and we had to go into the safe room, we were told that even more people canceled the hotel for upcoming days. Everyone on staff ushered us easily into the safe room and took extra time to make sure we were not worried. I had hurt my leg while I was there and as early as 7:00 a.m. they had a doctor on staff that they called to assist me. They even loaned me a cane for a duration of the stay. We love the room! A wonderful bottle of wine and appetizer plate was sent unexpectedly, which we thoroughly enjoyed. And it's one of the closest hotels you can have to the Jaffa gate. In addition, the views are amazing and I have attached a night view from the roof. I have stayed at the David Citadel many times and also the King. David but this was my first time at the Mamilla and I will definitely be back.

I had a very very pleasant stay in Mamilla hotel. Location is great - very convenient to walk to any place you wish to go. Joseph and his crew was very helpful with everything- to bring the luggage to the room, any questions- I didn’t have to wait long. Room and lobby are very clean. Great hospitality with a nice bottle of wine. I would definitely recommend Mamilla hotel. I had such a great stay!!!
