I chose the Barceló Jerez Montecastillo expecting the standards normally associated with a four-star hotel in the Barceló chain. Unfortunately, this stay turned out to be one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have ever had. The bathroom design was impractical. Without a shower screen or curtain, taking a shower completely flooded the floor, and there was virtually no counter space for toiletries—basic features for a hotel in this category. Our attempt to change rooms only worsened the experience. We were initially given a key to a room that was already occupied. After returning to reception with all our luggage, staff led us through several unready rooms to find an available option. The room we finally settled in had a broken terrace door that wouldn't lock, forcing us to wait for maintenance rather than move our luggage yet again. These issues reflected a clear lack of quality control and attention to detail. At £440 for two nights, the standard fell far short of the Barceló brand. The property has potential, but poor maintenance and room conditions severely compromise guest comfort. I have escalated these concerns directly to Barceló management, but until major improvements are made, I cannot recommend staying here.

Two separate but adjoining Barcelo Hotels. 4 star Convention centre and 5 star Golf. They are situated next to the famous golf course and even more famous Motor racing circuit of Jerez which is just a very short stroll away. Otherwise the location is not at all desirable with no local facilities or other attractions and has a lot of derelict incomplete new builds Nice rooms, friendly staff (if a little overwhelmed during the Moto GP weekend) the Golf hotel has a good restaurant and pleasant terrace overlooking the golf course. Both hotels have their own parking. Great for visiting for Golf or the Moto GP but I wouldn't recommend otherwise.
