This two hour-plus visit to a beautiful waterfall, historic exhibit, and two art galleries related to local art treasures, including dramatic calligraphy, is a great option for those with any cultural interests. Our well-educated guide shared a lot of knowledge about Korean history and cultural aspects. Very interesting, facinating, and even humorous. A great way to spend an afternoon walk in enchanting Seogwipo City.

Jeongbang Falls is one of the three major waterfalls on Jeju Island, along with Cheonjiyeon Falls and Cheonjeyeon Falls, and is said to be one of the twelve scenic spots of Jeju. The waterfall is about 23 meters high and 10 meters wide, with a protected area of 10,529 square meters. On both sides of the waterfall, there are vertical rock walls with well-developed columnar joints and fine trees.
The museum was built in honour of Seobok, who is said to have come to Seogwipo, Jeju Island, during the Chinese Qin Dynasty in search of bulrocho(the herb of the Immortality).
Opened on 4 October 2008, the Soam Memorial Museum is a memorial dedicated to the life and art of 20th-century Korean calligraphy master Soam Hyeonjoonghwa Seonng. It is the first calligraphy museum in Korea dedicated to a calligrapher.
Dae-Sup Lee was a leading Korean modern and contemporary artist in the 20th century, and this memorial and museum commemorates his artistic spirit as he fled the Korean War and moved to Jeju Island with his family, where he worked for a year.
A cultural street dedicated to the 20th-century genius painter, Lee jungseop, with many souvenir shops and galleries centered around his birthplace. It is the centre of Seogwipo Old Town.
