The places our guide Mr. Kang took us to was interesting. However, his is limited English made it very hard for us to understand. He was basically just a driver.

You can find the largest seafood market in Jeju-si, a place that includes Sanjicheon Fountain. Dongmun Market Place consists of Dongmun street market, Dongmun traditional market, and Dongmun seafood market. You can buy all different kinds of seasonal fish and pickled fish here, among other things.
Seogwipo Olle Market is the largest market in Seogwipo-si and a traditional market that was created spontaneously in the early 1960s. Starting with a 120m arcade in 2001, a total of 620m arcade arcades have been installed to play a pivotal role in Seogwipo's economy. The parking lot here provides maximum convenience to customers by introducing a 1-hour free parking system, and is equipped with a delivery system that delivers goods to the desired location for free for the convenience of customers who purchase products at the market. The total length of Manjanggul Lava Tube is about 7.4km. It is a lava tube that is partially multilayered. The main tunnel’s width is 18m and its height is 23m. It is one of the largest lava tubes in the world. There are many lava tubes in the world, but Manjanggul Lava Tube has a significant meaning in that it was formed thousands of years ago, and it is very well preserved. Therefore, it is very valuable to researchers and scientists. Due to the sinking of the ceiling, there are 3 entrances. The one that tourists can use is the second entrance and they are only allowed to go as far as 1km into it. There are various cave formations in Lava Tunnel in Manjanggul Lava Tube, such as stalactites, stalagmites, flowstones, lava tubes, lava shelves, and lava rafts. In particular, the lava column that is located at the end of the tourist area is about 7.6m high and is known as the highest lava column in the world.

The guide and the sites were spectacular! Mr. Lee was punctual and kept us on track throughout the day to be sure that we got to all the sites before returning to the ship. We were also able to get an authentic Korean BBQ lunch. Jeju is a beautiful island with very welcoming people.
So many amazing things to see on jeju island... Including one of the seven new wonders of the world at the jeju crater. From gorgeous waterfalls to unbelievable geometric lava flows, this island is not to be missed. Mr. LEE was a most gracious host and guide. He timed everything perfectly from pick up at the port to return including a stop for Korean BBQ and shopping at a local market. Love ❤️ Jeju
Very bad customer communication, we have booked on a different day, the date was changed, no reimbursement or possibility to revise back the date. The only answer was no, to keep money. Do not recommend
Tour guide was on time and met us as we exited the ship. First we went to a beach, then to a museum commemorating women who dove for octopi, sponges, crab etc from the sea floor. Then We then went to a replica typical Jeju villiage. Then to Seongsang Ilchulbong Tuff Cone---a unique volcanic "mountain" on the coast of Jeju Island. Then to a market for shopping and then back to the ship. Total duration was 6 hours. Very knowledgeable guide.
Fantastic tour!! Highly recommend!! Our Guide Ho Young was kind and very professional. We visited many places and enjoyed his explanations. Thanks!!!
This was an amazing tour. Our driver took us to a volcano, a beach, some shopping at a local market, and an authentic Korean lunch where he helped us order the right things. While he didn’t speak fluent English, he spoke enough for us to have a great day even in pouring rain! Thanks Mr Jeong!
We had an amazing time with Mr Jeong! He took us to several beautiful spots, including a volcano, a beach, and also took us to an authentic Korean restaurant for lunch where we had a great meal. He also showed us around the market and helped us with what to buy, including things we wouldn’t normally have tried. It was pouring rain all day and Mr Jeong made sure we still had fun. I highly recommend this company. It’s nice to have a private driver for the day because you can do different things and tailor it to what you want.
The locations that we visited were great. However, the tour as a whole would have been much improved if our guide spoke English. We do not speak Korean. He played some audio descriptions of our stops, but he couldn't answer any questions or give any background information himself. He was very amenable to taking our photos at various places. I would not recommend this tour to non- Korean speakers.
We had an amazing time on the Jeju island Private UNESCO tour. The itinerary was perfectly curated, with visits to iconic landmarks like Seongeup Folk Village and Seongsan Ilchulbong. Our driver was friendly and knowledgeable, providing valuable insights throughout the day.
The Jeju island was a highligh of our trip. From the fascinating Seongeup Folk Village to the busting Dongmun Market, every stop offered something unique. Our driver was professianal and accommondating, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable journey.
The attempt was good but not at the caliber of other Viator tours. Taxi driver spoke little to no English. We were driven to sights and read signs in English IF available. Feel we didn’t receive or learn much from the experience.
The driver's language skills made communication effortless, enhancing our overall enjoyment. Highly recommended!
The Jeju island Private UNESCO package Tour with Cruise exceeded all expectations. From exploring Seongeup Folk Village to marveling at Seongsan Ilchulbong, every momednt was unforgettable. The driver provided fascinating insights throughout the journey. A must-do experience for anyone visiting Jeju!
This was the worst private tour I’ve ever taken. Our guide’s English was limited to maybe a dozen words. I had previously written that the female divers were most important to us. He first took us somewhere and said crater. No further explanation. After asking again about the women divers, he dropped us at the museum. He offered no explanation and didn’t accompany us inside. He finally took us to the site where there is a diving performance every afternoon- hours before we got there. Due to the time the ship docked, we might have been a little late for the 2:00 performance but we would have seen most of it. We later spoke to other people on our cruise who saw the whole show. But we got there around 4:30. There were long drives between the places - 30 minutes to an hour- and we didn’t learn anything about the island, its people, schools, history or economy because he never said one word during the drives as he doesn’t speak English. We tried asking questions and twice he used his phone to translate something. That was frustratingly slow and couldn’t be done while driving.
We were picked up timely by our taxi driver/guide, Lee. We immediately changed his 'suggested' itinerary. He was very accommodating, and adjusted the day accordingly. We thoroughly enjoyed the places we both agreed upon. He kept us on schedule so that we made it back to our cruise ship exactly at the designated hour. We thought he was an excellent driver with an upbeat and positive personality, and we appreciated the fact that he took us on a different route returning so that we could see more of the island. His English was sufficient for us to communicate times and places,. As we had anticipated, he was not a "tour guide" in the traditional sense. We very much enjoyed the day.
Having 4 fun places to visit. Ask to go to the Stones. We spent 25 minutes, but could have used an hour. The lava cave could be done in 35-40 minutes At ilchubong there is a free path if you don't want to climb to the top.
Although the guy's English wasn't well spoken, he was still very pleasant and brought us to a few places of interest. I didn't have Korean won and he was able to help me exchange $10 USD to KW. I told him I wanted abalone and he was able to make it the last stop before embarkment.
Mr HongMin Lee was introduced to me by a friend in 2015. Since then, we've travelled with him for multiple occasions (once in 2015, 2018 and 2023) and never looked back! With his long experience as a tour guide/driver, he recommends and brings us to the best places around Jeju. We did not have to worry about planning the routes to take throughout of time there. He brings us to the best scenic spots and the best restaurants that locals go to without fail. Mr Lee is the most friendly and approachable tour guide I've ever met. We've recommended him to several friends and they've all enjoyed their experiences with him. So if you're looking for a driver, I would definitely recommend Mr HongMin Lee and his team of drivers at Jeju Namyang Travel.
