This is the worst five-star resort hotel I've ever stayed at. The staff didn't seem to be properly trained at all. 🙄 First, the check-in process: can you believe a five-star resort hotel doesn't have a doorman to help guests with their luggage to the front desk? This means you have to carry your super heavy suitcase up a long, old staircase yourself to check in. However, when you do get to the front desk, you'll find that some staff members speak to you in a "I'm God" tone, completely lacking any professionalism typical of the service industry. They're incredibly condescending. But from my observation, they treat Koreans (Koreans) very well, being extremely attentive and enthusiastic. Then came the actual check-in process. Yes, even at this stage, no staff member came to help us with our luggage to our room. Isn't this the most basic service of a five-star hotel? Here, it was a luxury. This meant you had to continue carrying your heavy suitcase alone, navigating the hotel's complex, old, and uneven paths, finally reaching your room after a difficult journey. Of course, perhaps this hotel only welcomes backpackers with light luggage 🎒. If you're traveling with a suitcase, don't bother coming here! Secondly, the hotel rooms are old and the facilities are outdated. I had expected this, so I won't elaborate, as I didn't have high expectations to begin with. Finally, during check-out, the front desk, in an effort to expedite our departure, finally arranged for someone to help us with our luggage. So, you can see that the hotel's service standards are extremely unprofessional and casual. Furthermore, when the front desk called us, perhaps they didn't know how to speak politely in English? They used an "orderly and commanding tone" to tell us to check out immediately! The front desk staff were extremely rude and impolite on the phone. They didn't greet us at all, communicating directly in a commanding tone. It's hard to believe this is a five-star hotel. Furthermore, the housekeeping staff were also very rude and impolite while we were still in the room. They didn't start the conversation with any polite greetings, like "Hello, may I come in?", and directly questioned why we hadn't checked out. Good heavens! Even if we checked out late, we paid for each hour of late check-out. From what perspective did she have to question us? Did she think she was our boss? Our superior? In short, the service at this hotel was terrible and completely unworthy of five-star standards. I've been to dozens of countries in Europe, America, and Asia, and I've never encountered such poor service at a five-star hotel! Please everyone choose carefully!

A great place to stay with family. Not to miss experience when in Jeju.
Overall: Extremely disappointing. This isn’t really a 5-star resort as advertised - management should review this rating to manage guest expectations as property is very old and badly maintained with mediocre service. Pros: Lovely view of the ocean from resort grounds. Gardens are well kept. Cons: Our room (Ocean Suite) had a strong musky odour that permeated even the closet, dim lighting, only 1 weakly functioning air conditioner that obviously hadn’t been cleaned for a long time, and a bathroom with a shower area that was not partitioned (whole bathroom floor flooded every time we showered, had to wade in dirty shower water before it drained and dried). Room has only 1 power point. Bed is clean but so small, hardly 2 people can fit. Sides of the bed also barely had space so you have to climb onto the bed from the foot of it. No side tables. Bathroom door was clearly in need of replacement as it moved off the hinges every time we tried to open/close it. Overall room fixtures are old and badly maintained with the musky odour being the worst part. All these made us question the hygiene levels of surfaces in the room as well so we touched as little as possible. Service is mediocre. Staff do not make eye contact/greet guests when walking past them, front desk service was lukewarm during check in and check out. Only the staff who helped us with our luggage was friendly. It was a very painful 3 nights we spent here as we expected a close to luxurious experience given that we paid more for this a night than we did for grand Hyatt (great service and rooms!) in the city in the same week.
Rather disappointed with the stay and the Korean style room was especially bad. Hard to get past the fact that there’s just a single aircon unit at the corner of the room trying to cool the whole room down. The door to the bathroom is off alignment and hard to open after closing it. The bath area is open and the whole bathroom gets wet after a shower. There’s also many complains about the lack of power sockets in the room. Would not recommend this hotel for the price they charge. As mentioned in other reviews, this place is past its glory days and didn’t manage to keep up with other hotels on the island.
"It has beautiful views. And it's nice that it's not crowded." A hotel that reinterprets the traditional Jeju thatched houses in a modern way. A place where you can quietly enjoy the beautiful view of the beach without people.
