Lotte Resort Jeju Artvillas

We stayed here with my family and I can say everything was fine EXCEPT considering it's a higher end hotel I expect the carpets to be cleaned. There where some stains in the carpet clearly can't be removed. It is best to remove the carpets as they are dirty and old. Please consider doing this renovation as nobody likes seeing stains on a carpet. Slippers are provided for walking inside but it still feels dirty and not clean with the old carpets. Also for foreigners beware the beds are HARD like a rock if you're not used to this it may be uncomfortable. I am used to sleeping in harder beds but my family had a hard time sleeping. Other than that it was all fine.

Spacious villas but everything else fell short of expectations. Advertised as a “five star hotel” but this place feels more like a 3 star hotel with no frills / minimal services. Furniture is visibly worn with lots of signs of wear and tear. Small details like the blackout curtains not fully stretching over to cover the entire windows (then wth is the point?) clearly miss the mark. That breakfast has to be booked the night before with precious choices seems odd. And they are very inflexible with requests. If you can make an omelette, you can make fried sunny side up eggs (but they refuse to). Overall, nice concept. Beautiful exterior. Quite strange design choices for the interior. Many villas need some work. And they need to train their staff better. They are certainly nice and accommodating but are poorly trained. I would give it three stars for the overall experience and I would probably look for another place on my next visit to Jeju.

I recently stayed at Lotte Jeju Art Villas, and while the villa we were given was very spacious, the overall experience was disappointing. The photos online are quite deceiving and do not accurately reflect the current condition of the property. Our villa clearly needs renovation. One of the bedroom walls was in particularly poor condition—very patchy and visibly worn, which made the space feel neglected rather than luxurious. Additionally, much of the furniture throughout the villa appeared worn and torn, further taking away from what should have been a premium stay. While the size of the villa is a definite plus, the lack of upkeep and mismatch with advertised images made this stay fall short of expectations.

My family and I had an enjoyable stay during our recent trip to Jeju. I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for one of your exceptional staff members, Ms. Park Ji Fun. During our stay, our flight out of Jeju was cancelled due to a severe weather event, leaving our family in a very stressful and uncertain situation. Ms. Park stepped in immediately with remarkable patience, warmth, and professionalism. She sat with us for three hours, personally assisting us in contacting our airline, coordinating with our next hotel in Seoul, and reaching out to the car rental company to arrange additional days — all while ensuring our villa stay was extended so that we had a comfortable place to remain. What truly stood out was not just her efficiency, but her genuine compassion. She dedicated her time without hesitation, and in what could have been an overwhelming experience — especially traveling with young children — Ms. Park was a calm and reassuring presence throughout. She handled every detail with care and never made us feel like a burden. Ms. Park Ji Fun is, without question, a tremendous asset to Lotte Art Villas Jeju and a shining example of what outstanding hospitality looks like. We hope this letter serves as a testament to her dedication and that she receives the recognition she so richly deserves. Thank you for having such a wonderful team member. We will definitely be returning to your hotel when we visit Jeju in the future.
