We had a wonderful stay at Sonesta Resort! The rooms were beautiful, the environment was peaceful and relaxing, and the overall experience was amazing. A special thank you to Shurendy, Dayna, and Kimberly for their exceptional service. They were so friendly, helpful, and attentive, and truly made our stay feel easy, comfortable, and enjoyable. Their hospitality really stood out and made our experience even more special. We had a great time and would definitely recommend Sonesta Resort to anyone looking for a beautiful and peaceful getaway. We can’t wait to come back!

​Our stay at Sonesta Hotel & Resorts Livingstone was phenomenal! We originally booked a 3-night stay, but we loved it so much that we decided to extend for an extra night. ​We booked an apartment for the three of us—two adults and our 10-year-old—and it was very spacious. It came with a fully equipped kitchen if you prefer to cook, though we chose to eat out every evening at one of the restaurants along Jan Thiel Beach. Strolling along the beach at night and enjoying great conversation together was amazing. (If you prefer to stay on-site, the hotel also features the Mondi restaurant). ​We included the daily breakfast with our booking, which was great, and the overall service was top-tier. A special thank you to Dania at the front desk—she was always cheerful, smiling, and ready to help!

Our stay at the resort was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived until the day we checked out, everything was exceptional. The resort is beautiful, well-maintained, and the atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. A special thank you to Mariseth, Junaiska, and Jenny from the front office for making our stay even more memorable. Their warm welcome, professionalism, and genuine kindness made us feel right at home. They were always ready to help with a smile

I am deeply disappointed by the management's complete lack of empathy and flexibility. Due to an emergency hospitalization, we were physically unable to travel and our travel agent immediately notified the resort. Despite providing proof of this medical emergency, management refused to refund even a portion of our advance payment. While we understand standard cancellation policies exist, a reputable resort should show basic human compassion and administrative flexibility during an unexpected medical crisis. The reseravation was for four nights. I understand being charged for one night but certainly not four when my health took a nose dive five days before we were scheduled to travel. Our trip was scheduled for arrival on Sunday, April 26, 2026. This was not going to happen as I was still sedated and intubated in the hospital. I was rushed to the ER on April 21, 2026, transferred to a different hospital on April 25, 2026 and discharged on May 9, 2026. We lost our money, and the management showed zero understanding. I cannot recommend a place that treats its guests with such cold indifference during a difficult time. I will use my podcast platform as well as any other means to let people know they should NOT stay at this particular resort in Curacao. I have now been home for two months since being in the hospital for just over two weeks and when I do travel to Curacao, I will definitely NOT being staying at the Livingstone Jan Thiel Resort.
