This is an excellent tour to understand the culture of Indonesia. You get so much information on the nation and its rich history from the past and recent in one day! Many thanks to our knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating tour guide Fitri! There was three of us traveling together for business and this was our one free day before our work started. It was a great way to understand the culture coming from the United States in the first time in Indonesia. It was a private tour for the three of us which was great so we could ask lots of questions and to really understand where we were staying.

I did the cultural tour of Indonesia. We visited all the major sites and attractions on Jakarta. Ivan was an excellent tour guide and Cek my driver was also fantastic. I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in the history and culture of Indonesia
Amazing tour!!! That's what we were looking for. Excellent quality and Our guide and driver were very helpful. Very recommended
Haidar was an excellent guide. He explained that the “Miniature” park was built by Suharto for his wife after she visited Disneyland. It includes examples of typical houses from many different regions/islands of Indonesia. It is a lot like Epcot at Disney World, but focuses on Indonesia. At our request, we also stopped at a puppet maker who showed us how the famous Indonesian shadow puppets are made. Short visits at the Old Town, Independence Monument, etc. The flexibility of the private tour compared to the bus tours offered by the cruise line and lower price make this a much better option. Our visit was during Ramadan and the access road to the port (we were on a cruise) was gridlocked and we ended up walking the last half-mile to the ship past dozens of stopped tractor-trailers loaded with cargo containers.
Good tour. Good guide and driver. Explained a lot of history and a lot of facts. Would recommend this tour.
We are traveling as a family of 5. Our guide Fitri and driver Wawan gave us a memorable and enjoyable tour of Jakarta. For a half day tour, they packed in a lot for us to see. The highlights for us are visits to the wayang shadow puppet maker and master, the national monument, old Batavia, pelabuhan Sunda Kelapa and Taman Mini. Because it’s a private tour so it’s quite flexible. We were able to spend a bit of time at the puppet master studio and learned the process of making a puppet. Wayang puppet was designated to be a UNESCO heritage. Our guide Fitri has a deep knowledge of Jakarta and Indonesia, its history and culture. She brought into life Jakarta’s long history of Dutch rule. She is also a very friendly and warm person. And I don’t even know how Wawan can drive in the Jakarta traffic. It’s quite amazing to see him maneuvering the sea of cars, motorcycles and people! The tour is perfect for everyone who has a short time but want to see a quick overview of Jakarta. I highly recommend it!
Enok is a wonderful guide. She share so much about her country. Our driver, Indra was very safe in extreme traffic and a rain storm. We were taken to all the interesting sights to give us a glimpse of the Indonesian culture. They were able to work within the time we had from our cruise ship. An excellent way to spend our time in Jakarta.
Our guide Ine was knowledgable and helpful explaining not just the itenary but also Indonesian and Jakarta culture , cuisine, recommendations on food which was all great and helpful
My guide, Ferdy, was amazing. Very knowledgeable and shared so much of Indonesia’s rich history with me. He really took good care of me for the day, making sure I was enjoying myself and showing me things he thought I would find interesting. Really can’t be more glad I decided to do this tour!
Ms. Enok was my guide. She was great and friendly during the tour. She explained Indonesian culture, including languages and rituals. I had the finest half-day excursion!
We had an excellent time on this tour. The guide was very friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and spoke excellent English. He also was extremely accommodating due to a late arriving flight, and adjusted our tour accordingly. He earned our complete trust when he stopped a busy Jarkatan street with the wave of his hand, to make sure we could safely cross. If we are ever in Jakarta again we will certainly book with him again.
Ferdy was hands down the best tour guide. Such enthusiasm! He went out of his way to accommodate a scheduling mishap and still made sure we got to see everything.
Ferdy and his drivers are the best. He goes above and beyond, is funny, takes great pics, and is flexible and was so accomodating to me and my friends. If you are in Jakarta - book him! He's an independant operator so if you believe in helping small businesses - he's your guide.
This was my first time in Jakarta and I wanted to make the most of my stay. Ine my tour guide was amazing and very knowledgeable she showed me everything in the list and more I recommend this tour and especially Ine if you are visiting Jakarta.
We had a perfect day in Jakarta. Our tour guide Ine and her driver already waited for us as our ship arrived at the harbour. We got awesome impressions at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, a batik fabric - with no need to buy, Monas and Jakarta Old Town. We also had the chance to drive through Chinatown and do some shopping in a small supermarket. As foreign credit cards are often not accepted in those markets, Ine offered to pay with her credit card but we were prepared and had enough cash - but so many thanks for the offer!!! We loved to see how the puppets for the shadow puppetry were made and enjoyed a short performance. The whole trip was perfectly organized, we had lots of fun and reached our ship in time with no hurry. We highly recommend this tour and thanks again to Ine, her driver and Ferdy for the organisation!!!
I thoroughly enjoyed the trip around Taman Mini Indonesia. The replica buildings are very varied and look quite authentic. Although it is a huge place to get around you are taken around in transport. My guide was very knowledgeable and we took our time looking around.
A private tour in Jakarta is an absolute *must*. As an experienced traveler, in order to maximize your travels and experience, you will need a local to help navigate. Agung (guide) and Elun (driver) both provided an EXCELLENT and genuine care experience. Their vast knowledge of the city, history, culture, and navigation made for a perfect day of travel. They were able to communicate, translate, provide vast amounts of knowledge for each of the stops and more! Even if you are a "world traveler", you will want Agung and Elun to help make Jakarta the best experience for you!
Ine and Jill were excellent hosts. Jill was very curious and a superb driver. He was patient and very friendly. Ine spoke excellent English and took me throughout Jakarda. She was patient and always asked if I understood the locations, such as Chinatown and where the Dutch history started and ended. She was on time and had excellent knowledge of Indonesia's history and culture. When I return, I will request their services I attended a concert, and the pis are of the lovely young people of Jakarta at a Deafheaven concert George
It is the second time to book the tour with our guide. Budi was excellent to teach me history and culture. I spent a lot of time in tour. Our chauffer Jaya was clever to drivea and it is recomended.
It was a great experience to explore Jakarta culture and the living of indonesian people. It’s a very fresh experience to me and meaningful.
Emil was a great tour guide. She was very friendly and knowledgeable and was the reason that we enjoyed the tour so much.
Ferdie was a fantastic guide. I had to make last-minute arrangements for a tour of Jakarta and Ferdie was so responsive and easy to reach and we were able set it up for the next day. We started off at the national Museum, which gave me a wonderful overview of Indonesia as a whole, and some wonderful art, fabrics, masks, carvings, huge statues, costumes. Ferdie was able to answer my questions in English. Next we took the sky tram around the grounds which showed different style homes, well almost palaces, from around the country. A highlight for me was a stop at a famous 19th C café whose name I’ve forgotten. We also toured Chinatown, which I could have done without. Ferdie was so accommodating and sweet, ready to cater to my interests. Enjoyed my day in Jakarta very much.
There were a lot of activities during this tour, and I enjoyed going around different cultural and historical spots in Jakarta. Pak Saleh, my guide, and Pak Elun, my driver for the tour, were very accommodating. Pak Saleh always made an effort to answer my questions during the tour, and I am happy I was able to get some oleh-oleh (souvenirs) and martabak manis (sweet pancake) after the tour. I highly recommend going on this trip in the morning so that you can explore spots while they’re still open and avoid traffic. I missed a few spots because it was already really late, and I booked my trip at 12:30 pm. Also, check the weather before you leave because the weather is quite unexpected this time of the year in Jakarta (May to June). Overall, wonderful experience! Definitely maximize the experience by asking lots of questions and staying curious.
China Town was not worth it , could have gone to the National Monument more closer. Five 5 Star to the Guide and the driver , learning about Indonesia very nice and fascinating country , will visit again and explore Overall satisfactory but for this time the cost seems not fair comparing to other trip... 5 star to the guide strongly recommended
This was a very fun tour to attend. Fitri my tour guide was very informative and gave much interest in my curiosity ti know about the many areas of Indonesia. She was patient and kind
I have lived in Indonesia for 18 months now and have never had the chance to go anywhere. This was a perfect tour with just the right amount of personal time. Ferdy the guide was very informative. He spoke great English and the places to visit was perfect. I didn't care to go to Mosques or see other places but what we saw waa Chinatown, old Jakarta, we ate lunch at Cafe Batavia and Mini Indonesia. We really enjoyed ourselves and got information that we didn't know. Thank you Ferdy!
Ferdy was a brilliant guide, prompt , spoke good English and looked after us. The locations he took us to were really interesting and we felt super comfortable all day. Thumbs up for ferdie.
Excellent friendly guide (Ferdy). He went out of the way to make my tour memorable. He extended thoughtful gestures such as picking me at a different location, taking all my pictures etc… The miniature park tour was quite interesting. Twas so fascinating to see such a rich culture in one place.
The best part is that Tripedia Tour operator Ferdy confirmed our reservation immediately after I booked this tour. This is the only one that responded out of the 4 tour operators I booked privately in conjunction with our Indonesian cruise. The others I have to track down to make sure they meet us at the correct cruise port at the specified time. They commonly use WhatsApp in Indonesia. On 11/27/24 Ferdy’s tour partner Ms. Dewi carrying a sign with my name, met us at Tanjung Priuk Cruise port. BTW, there is an ATM at the cruise port, but you need to go out the door and turn left (see photo). We proceeded to the miniature park and visited a couple of houses riding the park’s vehicle. We don’t have time to explore the whole park, but the places we stopped at is representative of what to expect at the other houses.. only of different design. If you go up the tower, you can see a miniature map of Indonesia set on water. Included is lunch at Simpang Raya for a variety of Indinesian food (see photo). The meal is filling although you have to acquire the taste to fit your palate. With limited time, we visited the Muslim Isriqlal Mosque and Jakarta Cathedral across the street. We saw the blue colored three wheeler public transportation vehicle called Bajaj, only found in Jakarta. A short stop by the Jakarta history museum (Fatahilla museum), which we didn’t go inside but had a refreshing mango juice in the store of the building. Lastly was the old harbour where we saw old dilapidated boats that transports goods between the islands in Indonesia. Port laborers transfer the loads lifting them on their shoulders. Truly back breaking manual labor! Overall, this tour is worth the price we paid for the 6 of us.
The tour tells a story of Indonesia culture, I love it. I would recommend this awesome tour in describing the culture and their replica's houses with art. No wonder so many people amazed to that place. I have 3 days in Jakarta but full enough exploring it in helping. Either the guide, driver or staff are good communicative.
It was an incredible experience to visit the park and see the beauty and diversity of the Indonesian architecture, all in the same place. Ferdy was our fantastic guide. Besides his considerable knowledge, his kindness and attentiveness were next level. My husband and I had a lovely time, and we highly recommend Ferdy as a guide.
Not very far from my hotel but it was traffic spent 1 hour, tour in the park so hot in this moment, the food was good taste not spicy for us. The service of our guide and driver were excellent, make the time fun.
It was not what I was expecting but so recommend, I recommend this tour 100 Percent, they are very good in communication both provider and also staff. My Guide, Fitri was excellent, polite and kind. I was just like tour in all exploring in full information.
There's a lot of to see on Jakarta, if you are interested you can follow the program longer, But I pressed for time more than shorter but enough to get every explaination by the guide, She was very best of all during I take trip in indonesia, Dewi is my guide. Our driver was excellent, Adi. After to see the park, we had good lunch by local food most experience. The last just sightseeing.
I appreciate this tour specially with our driver Mirwan and our Excellent guide Rezky. The plan was perfect and flexible and matched our need. I passed a beautiful day with a detailed description of all places. The guide is mastering all history and places stories. I highly recommend this explorer for any one who will visit Jakarta. It will allows to discovers all Indonesian islands throw miniature and you can get a look in many others interesting places. Really it was an amazing day.

The first time it make good experience. They treat us local coffee with their own money, we spent a lot of time until evening, and they took us to our vila no so close.

We were picked up on time in a spacious and comfortable tour bus. 14 seats but only 9 of us plus the driver snd Ferdy the guide. So plenty of room. First stop the Cultural museum Ferdy was very knowledgeable about all things Indonesia. If gave us a new insight into a fascinating country. Then onto the Great Mosque. Another great experience. Across the street to the Catholic cathedral and a drive around the government buildings. Ferdy gave a nonstop commentary as we travelled through Jakarta. A stop for a very enjoyable lunch, then a visit around Chinatown Finally we stopped by a puppeteers studio where we witnessed a performance. Then back to the hotel. A unbelievable adventure that took up the whole day from 9 am to 5.30 pm. I cannot say enough great things about Ferdy the guide. and Mahammed the driver. If you need a tour of Jakarta look no further.
