Selvi my guide was a very patient and sweet person. She showed me so many different types of food and I even tried many of them. I had no issues with my stomach although this was a street food tour. I loved this your because you got to see life and experience the food like a local.

This tour is a wonderful way to have dinner, and see some areas of Jakarta that a visitor might never know about. My guide Siska was fun to talk to, and really helpful - we strolled through two market areas, and she explained all of the different foods, and where they come from. Then I could go back and order the ones I wanted. Delicious! Learning how to use the local MRT train was an added bonus.

A great way to learn and experience Indonesian food. Our guide was so helpful in explaining all the foods and assisted with ordering. We learned so much about life in Indonesia from her. She also took us on the subway which was an interesting experience. It was the BEST!!!

This was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend it. Tika, who was my guide met in my hotel lobby and off we went (we used Grab car and MTR which is Jakarta’s metro). Tika’s English was perfect and she answered all of my questions. She was very attentive and it was a delight to spend a few hours with her learning about and tasting Jakarta’s street food. I tried quite a few things snd everything was delicious.

We went to two different market areas in different parts of the city. And use the new metro to get around. Definitely areas that I wouldn’t have found on my own, and the explanation of all the different food stalls would’ve gone right over my head without my tour guide. Selvi was wonderful. Selvi was a great guide for the evening exploring street food in Jakarta! I was a last minute booking but still I got all of the information I needed quickly and felt very prepared. Both spots we stopped had a lot of options and Selvi explained what was in each dish and how it was prepared. This was especially helpful for me since I am allergic to peanuts and shellfish, which Selvi helped me navigate without any issue. I am so glad I was able to try a ton of different dishes and learn about how they are prepared. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore the street food of Jakarta in a single night!

At first i thought it was a bad deal because only one meal was included but its actually a good system as you can choose what you eat. I liked the tour cause it showed me Blok M where the traditional foods are exceptional quality, it provides great insight to the local foods. I dont mind being asked to do a review but my guide Selvi asked for a 5 star review which i dont appreciate...very unprofessional. My guide was a little uninterested and disengaged.

A Fantastic tour that enabled me to experience the local street food scene as well as go to different districts of the city via the MRT that I would not have otherwise gone to. Selviana ("Selvi") was an excellent guide who shared her passion for food and provided so much information about the food and the different regions of where the food originated from within Indonesia. Before tour: Anis contacted with all information needed for the tour. She was VERY fast at responding. Our flight was delayed and when I contacted her to cancel, she offered to reschedule. We couldn't make it on a different date and she offered that we just start late whenever we land. Our guide was Selviana. She waited at the hotel for over 2 hours for us. She greeted us with a big smile and positivity. Really made us feel welcomed. During the tour: Selviana was very informative and explained the differences in certain food that we have tried in a different part of indonesia. She ensured that we didn't feel rushed or miss anything despite our late start. After our flight issues, she made us smile and brought us back to life. She was the best. Thank you Anis and Selviana for truly making our time by showing kindness. After visiting 90 countries and doing so many of food tours or other tours. This was the kindest service I've experienced. Fun and informative tour with Selvi! Only thing I can think of is maybe have a picture in the wechat message of where the meetup spot "main entrance" is. Also, I wish it was easier to hear her talk while walking but not sure what the solution is since it's loud outside. It also helped that all the food I tried was really good (especially the non-desserts)

Great introduction to the local food Two easy locations and great communication Our guide Nabilah was sweet and friendly , an intelligent young woman who was well organized , interesting , and easy to talk to . She guided us to a great food location at M block and explained the wide choice of foods at the various stalls . Really great to learn about the different local foods here and at a second location for dessert . Easy to use the MTR for transport on the tour , and Nabilah quickly and easily organized a taxi when it started to rain during a walking component Really enjoyable and interesting

Our experience happened to be booked for the day when the protests in Jakarta intensified at the end of August. Ultimately we didn’t go on the tour due to unstable situation that day on the streets, but I still wanted to leave a review to praise the swift and continuous communication from the agency and both guides, Nabilah and Tika. We texted back and forth over WhatsApp, we were not rushed or pressured into making our decision and were informed about the situation. Thank you for your professionalism!

I booked this tour as a solo traveler to get a real life introduction to Indonesian street food and public transportation like the MRT. The communication was great, the booking agent from the tour provider reached out to me 24 hours prior to the event to confirm details and introduce me to the guide that would accompany me, Ita, whom also reached out to introduce herself soon after. During the tour, we rode the taksi then the MRT to Blok M and Jalan Sabang. As we passed by each food stall and she explained each food being prepared, the cooking methodology, spices and condiments being used, and how it might taste which was very helpful. At the end I chose to eat sate Ayam dan Kambing with lontong (small compressed rice cakes), with saus kacang (peanut sauce) and sambal as condiments. We also ate Wedang Ronde, which is a fragrant ginger soup or cereal with glutinous rice balls. There was also a historical component as we close to few monuments and landmarks like Bundaran HI and Ita explained the background of the landmark. Overall, this is great introduction to Indonesian street food and you'll also have the opportunity to get used to the transportation system in Jakarta

Great food tour with Nabila who was a wonderful guide for two street food places in Central Jakarta. I trusted Nabila’s recommendations and I was not disappointed. Unlike other food tours I’ve been on, only one dish is included in the price. This sort of put me off a bit, but the food is relatively inexpensive. You are paying for the curation which in my case (Nabila) was wonderful.

This food tour is the real deal! I was super lucky to be the only person on my tour and to have the best guide! Nabili just oozes passion for the local food and is really knowledgeable on all the food stalls and their specialties! Highly recommend!!

I was fortunate to get a personal tour with Nabila. She was passionate about the local cuisine and introduced me to the many choices available. Unfortunately, I was only able to eat a few before getting full.

I booked this food tour as a solo traveler who was looking to explore the night markets but was unsure of it all so I booked this activity and it did not disappoint. From the start, communication was outstanding. Rika, who I later found out was the owner, emailed indicating what to expect of the tour alongside what the fee was for pick up as I was staying in a location further out than normal; the extra fee was very reasonable and I had no issues with it. I appreciate when activity operators reach out proactively with what to expect as well as contact information just in case anything gets lost in translation or need clarification. I gave them my WhatsApp prior to the tour, so they reached out a few hours before of their pending arrival and then a message once they arrived in the lobby. My tour guide was Riana and coincidentally enough, Rika was the driver. Riana was nothing but amazing. She made sure to explain what to expect of the tour and had a warmness and friendliness when she spoke that it never felt like a burden to ask questions. She was well versed in the area answering tons of questions and knowing about the different food and dishes. For the activity itself, after arriving at the MRT, we visited two food scenes. The food scenes themselves were quite nice and I felt we visited when it wasn't too packed. On this activity, one food item is included and anything else is at your own cost. What I appreciated on the tour is that Riana ate as well so it wasn't like other tours whereby I would eating alone and the guide watches. I asked if Riana would share in the food as I did want to try a few things and didn't want to waste and she was happy to join so I could try more. Riana also offered to take pictures as well so I could have a small souvenir of eating in the area. Overall, I had a very wonderful time with this activity. Riana was a great guide and I shouldn't forget to say Rika is a phenomenal driver. I felt safe and comfortable with both of them and highly recommend this activity to others.

The tour guide spoke very good English and did a great job showing us around through the various vendors of food in Jakarta, and ensuring that what we were eating was Indonesian and not another country’s food. Just make sure to bring cash if you plan to purchase food outside of the food purchased by the your guide
