I stayed in a queen room in 2026. Very old hotel repaired to look new, but failed. Bathroom there is no hand shower. Room facilities not good. Bad smell comes from old wall. Cannot be rated as 4 star any means. Some 4/5 people stayed next to my room. In that room they were somking and talking loudly late at night. It was difficult for me to sleep in bad smell and sounds.

Dear Yuan Garden Hotel Management, I am a regular guest who has been staying at Yuan Garden Hotel since before Covid-19 (2019). It had been about 1 year since my last stay, and I noticed several changes. The café in front of the lift is under renovation, and the restaurant by the swimming pool has been completely changed. In my opinion, the previous setup was better. I have been staying here since before the previous Front Office Manager, Mr. Eddy Setiawan, and also during the time of the previous F&B Manager, whose name I’ve forgotten. First of all, I am very grateful to God for being selected as a winner of the IG Live SIXPERIENCE a while ago. However, I was a bit disappointed. There was no congratulatory note from Yuan Garden Hotel in my room, and no complimentary fruit basket either. I had previously seen other winners post about this on their IG Stories, and the hotel reposted it. Why is there a difference in treatment between winners? If the room category is different, why was this not explained to me from the beginning by the hotel team? Regarding room service, the service is still the same, very slow. Previously, I went to the Front Office and requested extra coffee to be delivered to my room. The staff member who served me was the same lady who handled my check-in on July 25. At that time the hotel was not busy, and she was on her mobile phone right after serving me. And keep texting and playing with it. Please check the CCTV if needed, as proof. It took more than 30 minutes with no coffee delivered. I then called from my room by dialing "0" and asked for it to be sent immediately. In total, it took more than 1 hour. I had to call again from my room, and only after about another 20 minutes was the extra coffee finally delivered. This kind of service should be much better for a 4-star hotel, but it is lacking. For the Sunday morning breakfast buffet, several menu items that used to be available were missing. The restaurant staff were also not friendly. When they saw me as a guest, there was NO SMILE and NO GREETING at all. They seemed indifferent. Is this part of the rules and SOP at Yuan Garden Hotel? Also, at the egg station, I ordered a sunny-side-up egg, half-cooked, but it was broken and not prepared properly. Regarding the omelette, I asked for it with full toppings. However, the male cook at the egg station told me it was not possible and that only a plain omelette was available. I have never experienced a 4-star hotel serving only a plain omelette with no topping options. I recall that on my previous stays, I was served an omelette with several toppings. Please see the attached photo. In conclusion, I hope that going forward Yuan Garden Hotel can improve on these issues. I have been a loyal regular guest for a long time. And thank you again to Yuan Garden Hotel for giving me the opportunity to be a SIXPERIENCE winner. Sincerely, Nofitah
Booked a 26 sq foot queen bedroom on agoda, but the room was barely 20 square feet. Stayed in 2709. Only 2 bath towels were provided, and both were worn out. TV is old. Outside facilities is nice. Bed was good and comfortable.
stayed here for one night in their suites. (+) - staffs are friendly - good rooms (especially the suite one with city view) - strategic location at pasar baru (-) - please pay more attention to rooms' cleanliness. - improve the hotel's staff coordination. alrdy paid for late check-out when checking in, still got called at 1 pm for a reminder that the check-out time is at 12 😁 breakfast is okay, quite wide variety of food choice.
Booked a 4 night stay in Sep 2025, via Agoda. In google maps, the hotel is described as an "Upscale 4-star hotel". But not in my opinion, I think it is a downscale, run-down 2-star hotel! The room I was given after I checked in had a very noisy a/c, and there was a lot of noise coming from the next door room - they were having a birthday party!! I phoned down to the lobby and asked for another room, and a staff member came up with the key card to another room. The new room was quiet but in a terrible condition, with broken doors on the wardrobe and the bathroom sink tap was bent/leaning over at a noticeable angle. The plug in the bathroom sink didn't work, and the lighting left a lot to be desired. And the sink worktop overhangs the toilet bowl and is in the way when using the bowl. The room itself was very small and the wallpaper was shabby, dirty and stained, and peeling off the wall in places. Walls are too thin and I could hear guests talking in the adjacent rooms. The hotel building has a weird and peculiar design, and the corridor to my room from the elevator was shabby and looked run-down. Despite having a paid-for 4 night booking I was going to check out and try my luck elsewhere but I was really tired and hungry and reluctantly decided to stay. Lobby check-in staff and the staff at the breakfast buffet were very hospitable, very polite and very friendly, though most of them had very poor English language speaking skills. As for the food buffet, as a Westerner, I found the choice on offer was poor and the bread available was cheap, low quality. The only black tea available was in a large coffee-type decanter which is NOT suitable for hot tea and the staff could not even tell me what type it was. Tea needs to be made using fresh, boiling hot water. I asked the staff if they could get me English Breakfast or similar tea but was told it was not available. Then the next day I was told it was available but that it would be a-la-carte and would be charged for! This is unacceptable, it should be included for free as part of the buffet. Most mornings the buffet restaurant was overcrowded, very noisy, too hot and poorly ventilated. There was a problem with the fumes from the heating devices under the food containers, which are used to keep the food warm. The fumes filled the air in the main seating area on two seperate mornings and made me feel slightly nauseous. To sum up, the hotel is a dump. Would I return? No!
