Do not trust 5/5 reviews of this hotel. Fellow travelers, avoid at all cost - it has dirty, moldy bathrooms, clueless, unprofessional staff and the worst breakfast ever. Nothing went well at this hotel from the check-in to the check-out. Staff were like high school students hired for summer break. No one knew what was going on. The breakfast restaurant was so dirty everywhere and food was terrible. The bathroom was so moldy that I had to close my eyes while having a shower. I can't believe how much they don't care about the quality of service and facilities. Forget about the pool - one one would be enticed to swim there as it seems like a pool in an abandoned building. Mercure Jakarta Batavia is pretty much the worst Accor hotel property we've ever stayed at.

I recently stayed in Room 730 under the name Engkay at Mercure Jakarta Batavia, and I was truly impressed by the quality of service. The room was spotless, cozy, and provided everything I needed for a comfortable stay. What made the experience exceptional was the outstanding hospitality from Ms. Desti. She was welcoming, attentive, and always ready to assist with genuine care and professionalism. Her positive attitude and dedication made me feel valued as a guest. Thank you to Ms. Desti and the entire team for making my stay so pleasant. I look forward to returning in the future and would gladly recommend Mercure Jakarta Batavia to anyone looking for excellent service and a comfortable stay.
Breakfast here was a highlight of my stay. Not only was the food delicious and diverse, but the service was also exceptional. Resti greeted us with warm smiles and kept the buffet well-stocked and clean throughout. She is an asset! Sitting in the dining area gave a nice, relaxed start to the morning. Will definitely come back!
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel, especially after being upgraded to the Executive Suite from junior suite, which I understand is one of only two rooms of its kind in the property. What impressed me most was how the hotel successfully combines a modern interior design with elegant Dutch-inspired artistic elements, creating a unique and sophisticated atmosphere. Overall, my stay was excellent and exceeded my expectations. As someone who plans to visit and review all 50 Accor hotels across the Greater Jakarta area, I am pleased to say that this hotel has become the ninth property on my journey, and it certainly left a memorable impression. I would also like to share a suggestion regarding the room layout. There is a transparent glass table positioned in an area that can be difficult to notice at first glance. Unfortunately, my aunt accidentally walked into it and suffered a minor bruise. While this did not significantly affect our stay, I believe relocating the table or improving its visibility could help prevent similar incidents for future guests. As a final suggestion, I believe the hotel could further enhance the loyalty experience for Accor Platinum members and above by being more generous with room upgrades whenever occupancy allows. While upgrades are always subject to availability, receiving a meaningful upgrade beyond just one room category often creates a memorable experience for loyal guests. From my observations within hotel enthusiast and frequent traveler communities in Indonesia, many guests place significant value on room upgrades as one of the most appreciated elite benefits. A pleasant surprise upgrade often leads to stronger guest satisfaction, positive reviews, word-of-mouth recommendations, and increased loyalty toward the property. I understand that upgrade decisions depend on operational considerations, but when circumstances permit, a more generous approach could become a unique selling point that distinguishes this hotel from others within the market. Thank you to the entire team for the wonderful hospitality. I look forward to returning in the future and will gladly recommend this hotel to fellow travelers.
We enjoyed our stay here. The staff were friendly & helpful. Our room were spacious & comfortable. Kota Lama has long history, there’s museum cafes & restaurants within walking distance. It’s lively at night around Fatahillah Square.
