Mangkuluhur Artotel Suites

Really enjoyed my stay at Mangkuluhur ARTOTEL Suites. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the location was very convenient, and the overall experience felt polished without being overly formal. What stood out most was the service — the staff were warm, attentive and consistently helpful throughout the stay. A very solid choice in Jakarta, especially if you want comfort, space and genuinely good hospitality.

Positives of this hotel: - Location is excellent, near the toll highway so you can get in and out of the area very fast. Jakarta traffic is really bad so the location near highway exit is a big plus. - The price of the hotel is excellent, value for money. - Breakfast is good. - A special thanks and shout out for DARTI from the breakfast service area. She was always very helpful and boiled vegetables for me as a special request due to my health reason. - We stayed at the hotel for 7 nights total and we booked 2 rooms for a total of 14 paid nights. So we did pay a lot of money for 14 nights (7 nights for 2 rooms) - There is a shopping mall (Lippo Nusantara mall) just from the side of the hotel crossing a small street within 5 minutes walk. You can find all kinds of restaurants in the mall. The bad experience below, be cautious when you book the hotel online. They may not honour the type of rooms if you happen to check in late in the evening as they may run out of those type of rooms. I never post negative reviews as they are usually minor annoyances. However, this one was outrageous and shocking even to me. We are from Canada and we were shocked by the hotel management not honouring their own signed confirmed booking on paper. We paid the booking in person for 4 additional nights after staying for 3 nights attending a wedding party. We flew to another island for 4 nights and returned back to this hotel again for an additional 4 nights before flying back to Canada. This negative experience below really soured our experience for this hotel. Attached are hotel owned signed document printed by their own hotel printer when we paid in full to personally book 2 rooms 4 days in advance. We specifically asked for 2 twin beds for one of the rooms, we even asked the staff to write down her name and signed the initial to show that we booked twin beds because we have 2 adult children (male and female). We were so paranoid during the booking so we asked the staff to personally initial her name with the twin bed hotel room type. However, when we checked 4 days later in the evening we were told that we booked 2 King Bed rooms in their reservation system. I showed the staff of the written paper signed by their own sales team with her name. We checked in late at 8:00 pm due to a late flight delay from another island. The hotel staff doing the checked in kept asking for a more recent proof/document that we booked twin beds. We just booked and paid the two rooms 4 days earlier with a print out document from the hotel receptionist, but that printed document was considered obsolete by them. It was very obvious somewhere along the chain, they messed up big time. Instead of apologizing for their mistake, their attitude during check in is to deny their mistake and asked the customer to prove otherwise by stalling us for almost 30 minutes. We were not used to this kind of treatment in Canada especially when we have their printed document to prove our reservation for twin beds. I did not want to argue any more as obviously, they could not find twin beds room at 9:00 pm and we were too tired to argue. It seemed they have given out all the twin beds to other guests as many local families have kids that need twin beds to accommodate 4 people in a room.

I fell in love with this hotel, especially their unique and clever idea of placing a chair inside the elevator. It is very practical and original. My room was clean and comfortable, the staff were polite, helpful, and friendly, and the breakfast was excellent and high quality. The hotel also had an Arabic restaurant, and the food was absolutely amazing Whenever I come back to Jakarta, ARTOTEL will be my choice. 😊✨

Great hotel to stay in jakarta. I stay in the artotel mangkuluhur suites for few days and it's amazing for work. Also the service are very Prestative, I remember was a gentleman who works at the restaurant, he name was mister Budiman, always checking on me and the other guests as well. He made my stay way better than I was expecting. Thank you for all the stuff for doing a great job. Looking forward to stay again here next time. I truly recommend this hotel. Regards Coach Santos
