Disappointing stay — poor room conditions and unprofessional management. We specifically booked a non-smoking room, but upon arrival, we were told that all non-smoking rooms were occupied. Despite our confirmed reservation, we were given a smoking room instead. This is completely unacceptable, as the hotel failed to provide the room type we had booked. Unfortunately, the problems didn’t end there. The room was extremely noisy, making it difficult to relax or get a good night’s sleep. Several lights were not working, and even the mirror was dirty. These are basic maintenance and cleanliness issues that should never be overlooked in a 4-star hotel. The overall experience was far below expectations. A hotel with such a high rating should be able to honor reservations, maintain its rooms properly, and provide a clean, comfortable environment. Very disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel based on our experience.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an absolutely wonderful 2-week stay at Kimaya Slipi, and I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone! A special thank you to Nia, Annisa, Nadine, and Mr. Adit — they are truly some of the best staff I have ever experienced. They took care of me every single day, were always friendly and helpful, and always had time for a small chat. The rest of the staff were also incredibly kind and welcoming. The restaurant deserves a special mention as well. The food is really delicious, and I genuinely enjoyed having meals there during my stay. My room was always clean and was cleaned every single day. Everything was well maintained, and I felt very comfortable throughout my entire stay. I have stayed at several hotels around Slipi, and Kimaya Slipi is definitely one of the best places I have experienced in the area. Thank you to the whole team for making my stay so enjoyable. I had a really great 2 weeks here and will definitely come back! Highly recommended!

I especially appreciated the warm hospitality and the attention to detail from the team. Definitely a lovely place to stay, whether for business or a relaxing getaway in Jakarta. Overall, the room is okay—more or less average. The hotel has clearly been around for a long time; the problems are obvious to the naked eye. The shower drain doesn’t work, and there was a huge puddle of water all over the bathroom—on the floor and everywhere. The bed is great and comfortable. The service is good, and the staff is polite. There are only two towels. There’s no cold water. I turned the knob every which way, waited, but nothing happened. Only boiling water. The view is of a construction site, but it doesn’t seem too noisy. Because of the water on the floor, I switched rooms, and I ended up in one where everything seemed fine, but the smell of gasoline was so strong it made me dizzy. Do they clean the room with gasoline or kerosene? It’s just terrifying. Even after 5 hours with the AC running full blast, the smell was still there. I started to feel worse. I recommend it, but check the room and ask to be moved if necessary. Breakfast is good, and the gym is good.
