We had a mixed experience at Aryaduta Suites Semanggi. During our stay, I noticed that almost all of the guests were locals, with very few international guests. This gave the hotel a distinctly local atmosphere, although I personally found the environment quite noisy and hectic at times The hotel's location is excellent, particularly for the Semanggi and Sudirman areas, with shopping centres, restaurants and business districts nearby. The suites are also a strong point. They are exceptionally spacious and feel more like apartments than conventional hotel rooms, which is particularly useful for longer stays. The staff were generally friendly and helpful, and the hotel has good facilities, including a large swimming pool. However, there were several issues that affected my overall impression. The elevators can have very long waiting times during busy periods, which becomes particularly frustrating when the hotel is crowded. I also encountered cockroaches in my room, which was disappointing and something I would not expect from a hotel of this standard. Breakfast was another area where I felt the hotel could improve. The selection was very much geared towards Indonesian tastes, with relatively limited choices for guests looking for a more international or Western breakfast. The variety was also fairly limited, particularly if staying for several days, so breakfast could become repetitive. The property itself is clearly showing its age. Some rooms and furnishings feel dated and would benefit from refurbishment and better maintenance. Overall, Aryaduta Suites Semanggi has some genuine strengths: an excellent location, very spacious suites, friendly staff and good facilities. However, the noisy and crowded atmosphere, long elevator waiting times, cockroaches, ageing rooms and breakfast that caters primarily to local tastes made the stay less enjoyable than I had hoped.

My wife got stuck in the elevator for about 10min, but thankfully the issue was resolved quickly. Apart from that, everything was great. The location was super—very near Plaza Semanggi and could join “car free day”, the service wass good, also the food. Really enjoyed our stay at Aryaduta Suites Semanggi and would be happy to stay there again.
COCKROACH INFESTED. I stayed in the family safari rooms. With an S because I moved rooms during my 4d3n stay even, to try and give this place another chance. But we need to get this place shut to get this place cleaned up once a for sure. The rooms are filled with tiny roaches. Once you turn off the light, leave for 15mins, they all come out to play. The last straw was once I found, right on the bed, where my daughter was sleeping. 1 of the 5 we killed in her room alone. PLEASE. Structurally, the place is infested already. You need to close temporarily and get rid of it once and for all. Another problem is the lift. 2 out of 3 lifts spoilt on our first day there. One never got repaired, the other was fine but had small issues where the keycards failed. Your staff are great. They have been kind, but it is pointless when your product is a complete let down. You are not a 5 star property. 5 star staff, 5 star location but 1 star actual product.
I’m honestly not sure how this is considered a 5 star hotel -I checked in and the lobby was clean and high-end, but after waiting to board one of 2 working elevators to get to the 36th floor (and being jam-packed in to a 4x5 foot space -NOT exaggerating). Because there are kitchens, all the floors have a mixture of cooking odors that may or may not be pleasant. The building was built at least 50 or 60 years ago and has not had much updating -it seems it used to be apartments or condos with one ceiling air conditioning unit in the living area and another in the bedroom. They sort of function, but not to cool the entire space. We needed air conditioning maintenance within an hour after arrival due to water leaking and forming a large puddle on the living room floor. Now for the sanitary issues -my husband stepped on a needle in the living room carpet. Spiders, cockroaches and ants were in the bathroom and kitchen (including the freezer -which was very old and yellowed). The furniture had all seen better days (I honestly felt like I was in a bad university dorm room). We then checked the bedding and the pillows were old and stained -I was NOT putting my face on that pillow with unknown bodily fluids). I was so freaked out that we immediately booked another hotel and left after about 2 hours. In the lobby, they asked if they could get us a different room… I don’t trust the basic cleanliness of the rooms, so that was not an option, also waiting 15-20 minutes to get on a packed elevator from floor 36 was also not my idea of 5-star. When I asked about elevator repair, the desk said maybe by the middle of next week… I did not believe this was a short term issue. MAYBE they have some rooms that have better furniture, and the maintenance person was very prompt and efficient at fixing the AC, but safety and cleanliness (not to mention the odors and thin walls) are my top priorities (yup, comfort comes after those…). I would NOT recommend to anyone!
**5-Star Rating, But Feels Like a Zero-Star Hotel** **5-Star Rating, But Feels Like Zero Star** I stayed here twice, and both experiences were disappointing. The rooms had small cockroaches and ants, the bathroom shower was old, dirty, and poorly designed, and one toilet was clogged with water constantly running from the tank. The kitchen faucet was also loose and wobbly. Housekeeping was extremely slow. I often returned at 3–4 PM and my room still had not been cleaned. Requesting extra towels took nearly an hour. Worse, after housekeeping came, things somehow became even more problematic — including causing washing machine drainage water to spill everywhere in the unit. The elevators are old, hot, and honestly scary to use, with no AC in the hallways or waiting areas. Also, please train staff not to enter guest units wearing shoes. Basic hygiene should be part of the SOP. I saw this property advertised as a five-star hotel/apartment — Aryaduta Suites Semanggi — but this honestly felt like a zero-star experience. Don’t waste your money staying here.
