Aloft By Marriott South Jakarta

Visited in December 2023 to attend a full-day professional conference held in the hotel's function hall. The event facilities were well-organized, providing a functional and efficient environment for large group gatherings and discussions. The staff maintained prompt service, and the venue's location along TB. Simatupang offered practical accessibility for daily commuting during the work trip. It serves as a reliable and well-equipped venue option for professional events and meetings in South Jakarta.

Stayed here twice, and while my first stay was simply average and somewhat underwhelming, my most recent stay from May 30 to June 1 unfortunately left a much worse impression, especially considering this is a Marriott-branded property. During my recent stay, there were several service and housekeeping issues that gradually affected my overall impression of the hotel. While the Front Desk team was polite, there was very little explanation regarding the mobile key feature during check-in, and I only figured out how to properly use it myself after checkout. The larger issue was the housekeeping and service recovery experience on the second day of my stay. After requesting room cleaning, several amenities were not properly restocked, including toilet tissue and facial tissue. I contacted the hotel to request replacements, but the response took quite a while, and when the items arrived, the facial tissue provided appeared inappropriate and questionable for guest use. What made this more frustrating was that the Front Desk had already confirmed that facial tissue had specifically been requested. There was also confusion regarding towel replacement during the same incident, which made the coordination between departments feel inconsistent. What disappointed me most was not necessarily one single mistake, but rather the accumulation of multiple small service failures and the lack of smooth recovery afterward. Combined with my previous stay — where I was charged for stained sheets and had my name mixed up during checkout — the overall experience no longer felt up to the standard I would normally expect from an Aloft or Marriott property. To the hotel’s credit, management did respond professionally and thoroughly to my feedback afterward, which I appreciate. However, due to the repeated inconsistencies across both stays, I personally do not see myself returning in the future. I cannot recommend this hotel also, but your experience may vary

The only positive aspects of this hotel are its location and the “breakfast” team. The hospitality, room service, and overall service standards are REALLY disappointing. Even if you have been a loyal Marriott Bonvoy member for decades, it seems to make no difference here—they will always treat you like a complete stranger. This is by far the WORST Aloft property I have ever stayed at, and arguably the worst hotel within the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio that I have experienced in my life. The only reason we continue to stay here is because the price is very affordable, which may explain the level of service. Overall, if you have just arrived in Jakarta and want a comfortable stay that leaves you in a good mood, I would not recommend this hotel at all.

Aloft by Marriott TB Simatupang Review I attended a family birthday celebration at Aloft Jakarta South. The food was delicious and well-prepared, making the event enjoyable for all guests. The service was friendly and attentive throughout the celebration. However, the parking area was quite limited, which made parking a bit challenging during busy hours. Overall, it was a pleasant experience with great food and good hospitality.
