Private Jaipur Half-day Tour With Expert Guide – City Highlights

We would 100% recommend this tour to anyone, myself and my partner wanted to explore Jaipur's top sights and Indra our tour guide was incredible. He took us to all the key places, shared all the history and interesting facts whilst also taking any and all photos we wanted. We also had a fantatic driver Vinod who ensured we were safe and comfortable for the entire journey across Jaipur. The food included within our tour was great with a mix of both Indian and multi country cuisine (pasta, wedges ect) meals. After our tours we had the choice to go to some authentic clothing and spices shopping with a relaxed environment.

The half day tour of Jaipur with our tour guide Indra and driver Vinod was wonderful. It was our first time in Jaipur & Indra made sure we had a great experience. It was personalized and informative. He’s also a great photographer!

Note: I was asked to complete the review near the end of the tour and asked to send confirmation of my review to the tour guide. I think the guides don’t get the money from the owner without showing confirmation of review. So, to be honest, I felt required to write this review. However… Indra was a lovely guide and Vinod was a skilled driver. My tour ended up falling on World Tourism Day, which also happened to be on a Sunday. This meant that all tourism sites were free admission for locals and everyone had Sunday off to explore the sites. Great for them! Tricker for us because the traffic and crowds were intense. Thank goodness for Indra and Vinod. Vinod drove will expert precision and assertiveness to get us where we needed to go. And Indra kept me both entertained and educated while we were stuck in horrible traffic. Indra also did a great job navigating the crowd at every site, making room in the crowds so I could have a good view (without being rude to anyone around us), and educating me about the fascinating history and culture of Jaipur. I definitely plan to recommend them both to friends and family who visit Jaipur!

Our guide, Indra was fantastic, knowledgeable, and a real professional. He has a very intimate understanding of Jaipur with great information. Our driver. Pinochet as also a real professional, courteous, and safe. Our sincere thanks to both of them.

An excellent tour, we had a great time! Our tour of the Amber Fort was particularly interesting! My family and I really enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone (particularly those visiting Jaipur for the first time)!

I booked the half day tour just the day before I arrived to Jaipur, which was extremely easy and stress free. The next morning, my guide (Indra) and driver (Nordeen) were at my hotel shortly before the scheduled time. They were both extremely professional, courteous and helpful throughout the entire trip. We visited all of the locations outlined in the itinerary. Indra was very knowledgeable, providing insights I could never have gleaned had I gone without a guide. He even managed to take some great photos and videos of me, since I was solo. Nordeen was so polite and respectful, always opening my door and making sure I was comfortable. I felt safe and was relaxed for the entire trip. I would definitely recommend them both, and would happily go on another trip with them. It was a fantastic introduction to Jaipur, a city that has captured my heart!

Indra and Vinod were fantastic! Indra provided a very detailed tour and provided very insightful information on the history of Jaipur, facts about the gems and the artistic dyes and paints, and he knew all about the history of the palaces and fort! Vinod was also an amazing driver. The two made the whole day an incredible experience!

We booked the half day tour, great experience. Our guide Indra Pratap and driver Vinod we're already waiting at the hotel at the appointed time and off we went. We saw everything as described - Hawa Mahal, Amer Fort. Stepwell, Jal Mahal and also a temple in the vicinity. He gave us an option to see a local jeweller, which we accepted and had a really pleasant shopping experience - family run business with no hard selling, really patient and helpful with immediate adjustments to a bracelet. Later. I asked to go and buy local textiles, since Jaipur is famous for it and we had a great time at the store. They waited the whole time (we took a long time) and were so cheerful and patient. Thank you so much!! (Oh we also had lunch, which was nice - simple buffet, drinks are not part of the price).

It was such an easy way to get a tour. I booked one day in advance as I was working I did not if I would be available. I received straight away the confirmation. I took a full package with hotel pick up and drop off. Tickets included. The driver ( Vinod Ji) and the guide were awesome. Very pleasant and smiling. The guide gave me so many details he was great. (I am afraid to write his name wrong) I also enjoyed the freedom the guide gave me in my choices. He personnalized the experiences according to my wishes and was a great advice on a sourcing I was looking for. Overall it was a wonderful day! One to remember.

The half day trip through Jaipur was amazing! Without Indra our guide we would have never learned so much about the history of the city and all the monuments. He is a fun guy and takes incredible pictures and videos - trust me!

Tour was interesting, the guide was very knowledgeable and driver very kind. it was convenient hitting all the spots outside of Jaipur in one go. I would say that for the price we expected a nicer car but the car was very old. Aside from that it was good. Note that we only drove past Hawa Mahal briefly and got out at Jal Mahal with the driver (not the guide) and the whole tour (including driving) took only 2.5 hours as opposed to 5, but we didn’t mind as we had other plans anyway. The driver kindly dropped us at a place we requested different to pickup. I suggest to the tour operator to communicate more the contact details of driver and guide, and explain that The driver picks you up alone and the guide meets you at Amber Palace. I had to ask for contact and vehicle number plate 10 minutes before the tour commenced.

Kam was an amazing tour guid. Great explanations. He explained everything in english and answered our questions. Most importantly, Kam took some great pictures! Would highly recommend the tour with Kam.

I took a solo with Indra and Bareru (driver) to the Amber Fort. The experience was fantastic. Indra knew where to get the best photos and his knowledge was incredible. I would definitely recommend!! Thanks for a great afternoon!!

Awe-inspiring historical site that amazes as much from the outside as it does from the inside! Rajasthani Rajput (Raja Jai Singh), and the Mughul empire under Akbar, and Jodha (Harkabai). Must visit and experience this historical monument & heritage site, as nothing else (media) can feel the same.

We had a really lovely private tour of Jaipur! The car and driver were excellent — comfortable, safe, and punctual. Our guide was fantastic — spoke great English, was friendly, engaging, and genuinely interested in making the experience special. They were very flexible and tailored the tour to our interests perfectly. We especially enjoyed the beautiful visit to Amer Fort, and even took a delightful detour to the Elephant Sanctuary. The only slight downside was the stop at some craft makers, which felt a bit too commercial. Other than that, everything was very well organized and enjoyable.

We had a lovely time on a half day tour with our Guide Indra and our Driver Mukesh. We enjoyed going around to see the sites and learning about the fascinating history of the city, Indra’s enthusiasm is infectious! From being met at our hotel through to drop off, we appreciated Mukesh’s calm and safe driving, allowing us to enjoy and marvel as we drove through the city. We did opt to see the optional hand gemstone cutting and visit block printing factory, at our request. Fascinating to see! All around a brilliant time and we would highly recommend.

Indra told fascinating stories of India’s history and kept us enthralled throughout the tour. He also served as an impromptu photographer helping us capture memories of a lifetime. Highly recommend this tour.

Indre’s knowledge, enthusiasm, humour and hospitality made this my best tour so far in India. From Religion and Culture to Astrology and Elephant sanctuary I feel truly moved by today’s experience. So please I came to jaipur now. Mukesh was also a great driver in amongst all the chaos. Indre’s English was also the best I’ve come across this week - really helped build rapport.

We had a great experience with Indra and Mukesh today visiting the Amber fort and a beautiful temple near Amber fort, we also were able to make a quick stop at mawa mahal and since we were done a little earlier with visiting our sites on the itinerary we requested to see Jaigarh fort which is really close to Amber fort and it had the most beautiful views of the Amer wall and Amer fort from above. Indra was very patient with us as he gave us time to take as many pictures and videos as we wanted. We also learned so much about each site we visited as Indra has 20 years of experience. Thank you to Indra and Mukesh for a great experience on our first day in Jaipur!

An amazing day in Jaipur. A skilled driver and an attentive and informative guide. The Wind Palace, Amer Fort and the Stepwell stories were interesting and placed in an historical context. My partner and I had one day in Jaipur after a wedding so we’re looking for a way to tour all the major monuments, and this was perfect! Our guide was right on time and very knowledgeable about the history of each of the stops, and took our picture at each stop. The tour concluded at a fabric block-dying business, which included a demonstration on how the fabrics are made—and was a great place to pick up some souvenirs. Would recommend!
