After an Airbnb disaster, we arrived at Janu’s homestay late at night, tired, fed up, and dangerously close to writing off India altogether. Then we met Janu. He clocked immediately that we were struggling, showed us the room before we committed, and within five minutes the trip was back on track. The room was excellent and absolutely worth the price. Janu is one of those rare hosts who genuinely cares whether you have a good experience in Rajasthan. He doesn’t just rent rooms; he rescues trips. The BBC clearly thought so too — he featured in The Real Marigold Hotel, and he was more than happy to show us the clips to prove it. The next day he arranged a city tour with Imran, officially the best rickshaw driver in India and an absolute gentleman. It turned into one of the best days of our two months travelling here. If you stay with Janu, ask for this tour. More than anything, Janu helped us plan the next stretch of our journey so we felt safe, comfortable, and actually excited to continue. We arrived ready to give up. We left wondering why we hadn’t found this place sooner. Thank you, Janu, Imran, and the team.

We really enjoyed having our own tuk tuk with our driver Imran. A very safe driver, who took us around interesting places in Jaipur including temples, attractions, shops and the fort. We liased where we wanted to go and were fulfilled by our personal intinary. We are very happy with our stay in Jaipur especially thanks to having our own transport which makes navigating and experiencing the delights of Jaipur much more relaxed and enjoyable.

Imran picked me up at my hotel in his Posh tuk-tuk for a wondetful solo tour!! He is a great driver, speaks English, knows Jaipur streets very well, and treated me like a "Queen for the Day"!! Our day tour began with a delicious Lassi at Jaipur's landmark "Shrinath Lassiwala." Next, he drove me past the gorgeous "Palace of Winds " or "Hawa Mahal," through the old city gate, and past the colorful, lively shops before delivering me to a beautiful, quiet, garden above the city known as the "King's Cemetary" in English. "Gaitor Ki Chhatriyan" has beautifully carved white marble domes honoring the ashes of deceased Rajasthan Marahajas. Then, we traveled to the "Lake Palace" or "Jal Mahal" in north Jaipur. I enjoyed the views and the many beautifully dressed Indians having their portraits taken. I requested a spa massage which was arranged at a top-notch provider "Kerala Ayurveda Kendra." For the evening, I asked to be taken to a very nice rooftop restaurant. Again, Imran served me well, delivering me to the Peacock Restaurant at Hotel Pearl Place. My outdoor dinner included live music by a sitar player and drummer. Imran, then returned me safely back to my hotel.

We had Imran as our Tuk Tuk driver throughout our stay in Jaipur and he took us to the main tourist sites, restaurants we wanted to go to and basically anywhere we requested. He also took us to some hidden gems in Jaipur so that we could experience some quieter times aswell as the busier tourist sites. He was a very safe driver at all times and we thank Janu for guiding him on where to take us.

Loved this tour! We met Imran when he picked us up from the train station for our complimentary transfer to our hotel. He mentioned his tour and although I am usually quite sceptical when it comes to taking tours , I immediately felt at ease and am soooo glad we took the tour! We had a rough plan of what we wanted to do and Imran perfected it by taking us to all the places we wanted to go to but at the right times to miss the crowds. But even if you don’t have a clue of what to do in Jaipur he will come up with a tailored plan. As well as the sightseeing , we had a fun experience with Imran playing music from his speakers in the ‘helicopter’ (nickname for the tuk tuk lol), he let us choose the music. He also let my partner have a go at driving the tuk tuk in a very safe and supervised manner. These are of course optional but we loved these extras. Imran is a fun, honest and knowledgeable guide. He is very patient and knows Jaipur inside and out. The price was also VERY reasonable. Highly recommend!

My partner and I had an amazing day tour with our guide Surya and the driver Nandesh. They catered to our schedule as we had a flight that same evening but managed to get us from Hawa Mahal to the Amber Fort all in one day. Surya taught us so much about the history, culture and architecture of each stop and we were astounded by the whole experience. Would strongly recommend this duo.

Hitesh our tuk tuk driver and guide was very helpful with recommendations for sight seeing and shopping. His suggestions for places to eat according to our preferences were good too . An obliging person who was pleasant and the fact that he could speak English was an added advantage. A safe jolly tour of Jaipur is guaranteed.

The sight seeing in Jaipur was on the tuk tuk of Mr. Hitesh who was our guide and driver . He was a polite well natured guy who showed us around and gave us many options and suggestions for shopping and dining according to want we wanted . His suggestions were good and he was very obliging to stay longer and later if we got delayed . On the whole an enjoyable safe experience on his tuk tuk around Jaipur I only wish he gets a bigger tuk tuk as sometimes when we were 3 of us it was a little crowded . He did get a bigger one the next day . He speaks English which was an advantage for us . Good safe service and dependable too!

The guide and driver did a great job showing me around the area. They were on time and very helpful.

We toured as a group of friends different locations in Jaipur. Good value tour friendly people. Only downside was waiting for entry to the palace where we were held in a queue on the road.

Visited the pink palace and Amber zfort with a stop for photos at Water Palace. Tour guide was knowledgeable with information on tbe places visited and helping with other things asked of by our group . Then took us to a very nice restaurant for dinner ( paid for by us not part of tour) again this is helpful as itherwise not sure where to go.

My driver Mr. Rashid arrived early and was really friendly...he asked if I had anything in particular I wanted to see or if I wanted to trust in his experience. I went with his guidance and had the best day seeing all the top spots and some extra gems. He even stopped at a pharmacy for me when I said I felt unwell towards the end of the day. Highly recommend!

Rashid was. Great tuktuk guide. Hit all the main sites but also some local monuments. Very relaxed allowing us to take our time and enjoy the chaos and splendour of Jaipur.

The communication prior to the trip was excellent, which gave me peace of mind. My guide, Surya, and driver, Rakesh, both arrived on time and provided an excellent experience. The color commentary was invaluable in providing depth and insight to each stop on the tour. They were also very flexible and accommodating to my needs (had to stop at atm and requested monkey temple) along the way. Great tour and would highly recommend!!

What can I say! Imran took us everywhere. We got so much more than we were expecting, especially for the cost. He drive us to every popular destination and gave us as much time as we needed to explore and enjoy. We must have racked up some serious mileage. We drive everywhere! We had a full day tuk tuk tour with Imran. After the cities of Delhi, Varanasi and Agra, this day was not hectic at all. Imran showed us many great sights and told us something about them. It was a very beautiful day in Jaipur.

We had a very great 2 days in Jaipur with our driver Mr.Rashid Khan and owner of Januprivatetours Mr.Janu. We stayed at Marigold Inn Homestay which also operate by Mr.Janu. •Hotel - Marigold is wonderful hotel. We booked deluxe room for 1 night. The room are spacious and very clean. The decoration is modern&luxury. The room have every needed facility. They have Air condition, Fan, Heater, Hairdryer, USB plug, Extra pillow, Very fast WIFI, Big flat screen TV with netflix etc. Basically everything. You name it. They have restaurant at the rooftop of hotel.Very nice view(One tip : We can see a lot of kite in the evening time from this rooftop). The food here is amazing and cheap. We ordered cheese Paneer and 2 Garlic Paratha for dinner. It costs only around 300 rp. We eat them in many restaurants in India and we found this place is the most delicious. For breakfast, they provide fresh fruits, toast, butter, jam, omelet, poha(must try), curd, paratha, tea everything refill. We fulled until evening. The only thing I feel regret is that I should not stay for 1 night. The owner Janu is also very helpful. He is truly self made business man. He has good passion and attitude. I'm impressed. •Our driver - Mr.Rashid. He is the nicest driver we ever had in India. He picked us up at Jaipur station. He told us the location of the gate then once we arrived, he immediately show up and take us to his nice and comfortable TukTuk. We started first day tour with very delicious Lassi drink. Mr.Rashid took us to this famous lassi shop and bought us lassi drink as welcome gift to Jaipur. We had great 2 days trip with him. Our life is much easier in his hand. He always asked if we want to go anywhere get anything and he would make it happen. Everytime we finished the attraction, he always stay at the same place he drop us. We feel very safe travelling with him. I wanted to buy Pudinhara and he helped me collecting it from 4-5 medicine shops. I feel very grateful for his support. This guy is the best. We all are different, Janu talent is understand the different needed and make you live and amazing experience in Jaipur! Hitesh was our driver and he was super funny and with a lot of knowledge of Jaipur. He bring us to discovered the local street food (that is delicious and we want to try!) and the local daily life! Highly recommended! We stay at merigold inn homestau for two night, it is very comfort, super clean, staff is super kind and the restaurant is delicious! We have a new shanti friend in Jaipur!

Finding Hitesh was a godsend. The tour of Jaipur was absolutely fun and educational. Although I had not originally planned to get a tour guide for Jaipur I couldn’t imagine having not had Hitesh take us around in his Tuk Tuk. Even though our time was limited due to having a short trip, he was able to get in so many activities and take us to all the places we wanted to see and even some extras. He knows all of the best places for food and shopping. He takes you around the real Jaipur and ensures you’re taken care of every step of the way. The care and attentiveness throughout the tour made this one of the best traveling experiences of my life. The only only thing I wish I would have done differently is book with him sooner!

This company was great to deal with, communication was helpful , we loved the tuktuks , the company offered an ac car instead which was really thoughtful as it was hot but we were glad we went with tuktuks and its a much more authentic experience! we paid for a guide and it was well worth it as he was so knowledgeable and helpful , we had a great time, thank you

I had a 3 day private tuk tuk tour with Mohamed Rashid. He took me to all the best tourist locations and also some hidden gems with less crowds. I felt in safe hands with Rashid as he expertly navigated the chaotic roads and helped me to find some great spots for shopping and also took me for some of the best food I have ever tasted. Everything I asked for he could help me with and nothing was too much. Fantastic experience, highly recommended.

Mr.Rashid was a great tuktuk driver as well as guide at the same time. He advised on where to visit, eat out and shop around jaipur and made sure I was safe at all times & not molested by any scammers. Overall a very nice and friendly person who much contributed to my positive experiece of jaipur.

What can I say? It was PERFECT!! So much more than what I expected! Janu was a lovely guy; kind and humble, he picked me up in the train with a sign and made me feel very safe! He was so awesome that I decided to do a day tour with tuk tuk. Hitesh was our tuk tuk guide... how to start? He was INCREDIBLE! He spoke perfect Spanish, he was always on time, told me everything important and interesting about the city. I leave Jaipur with a great experience, with a great friend and with lots of knowledge about this wonderful pink city! Anyone reading this... feel comfortable knowing that this guys are the best choice in town!!!

Absolutely fantastic experience. Took 2 tuk-tuk and we roamed Jaipur the entire day. We saw places that, without this tour, I would have never seen if I just went driving around in my car. The professional behaviour of our hosts was just top class. Highly recommend for those who want to enjoy Jaipur in a more local way and experience more of the city than that what a car tour would give you.

Wonderful experience and hospitality shown by the tuk tuk driver-Mohammed Rasheed. Took us to all places we wanted to see in Jaipur and patiently waited and picked us up when done. He also suggested some local stores and restaurants which ended up being good too! He himself had a lot of information to share about the city and some interesting facts too. Overall, if you are looking for a budget day commute to all locations in Jaipur, this is the package for you!

This is my second time in India and I wanted to make sure I was using a reputable Company. I arranged a one day tour with HITESH. He is a funny and professional guy and let you decide the speed of way so you can see the whole highlights of Jaipur in just one day without stress. If you need anything, ask him and he try to realize it. Definitely 5 points (excellent)! I would take the tour  again.

Fantastic one day tour. Rashid (our guide/driver) picked us up from our hotel at 9am. He presented us with garlands and took photographs of us. He was very professional and very friendly. We explained what we wanted to do and see. He suggested a better plan, which we agreed to. We saw Amber Fort, Jantar Mantar, Hava Mahal and lots more. I was fascinated by the science behind Jantar Mantar (observatory). I recommend where possible to use the local guide for a small fee. Rashid knew exactly what interests we had and was very accommodating. We stopped for a meal and did a bit of shopping as well. After the tour Rashid dropped us back at our hotel. we were so impressed we booked him for the following day as well. Very economical way to see a lot. We would highly recommend and would certainly use again.

Ali provided an excellent way to explore the pink city in his Tuck Tuck fararri. We have explored cities in buses and private cars with guides in the past but this was on another level. Ali straight away found out what we really wanted to see and planned the day accordingly. It was nice to be able to take in the armosphere without constantly having to give attention to a guide. Ali had just the right amount of info. He knows some excellent back streets and less visited gems of the city. Monkey temple is a must if you love animals. You have a few options for lunch stops. We went to 'rainbow'. Good section of Indian and European food. Nice and clean. The tour was well organised with good communication from the company the day before the tour. Thanks Ali for a great day. Highly recommended.

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful day around Jaipur with Ali. He was on time and picked us up in 'Ali's Ferarri' ...yes we appreciated his sense of humour and how well he communicated with us in English. We were unsure whether changing the itinerary would be a problem but Ali was so accommodating and able to suggest other places we had not visited. We asked to go to a 'clean' restaurant with local food for lunch and Ali did not disappoint - when had a lovely lunch at the restaurant he took us to. After seeing all the sights Ali took us to a wholesale gem shop where we bought some small gifts at very reasonable prices. We then mentioned that we'd like to buy some local fruit. Ali took us to the stretch of fruit stalls where we got a bag of bananas and oranges for just 80 rupees. Ali provided excellent customer service and made us feel well looked after. Had a fantastic day tour of Jaipur with Ali! We went to many more places than anticipated. My expectations were exceeded. As a solo female traveler I felt very safe with him. He is friendly and professional and also a great driver. I asked to eat at a locals place for a vegetarian lunch (I unfortunately did not catch the name), he took me to a delicious place. He also took me took me to some shopping places that were super low pressure and had beautiful items. I can’t say enough good things about this tour. Seeing Jaipur on a Tuk Tuk with Ali is a must!

We really liked the tour with Hitesh, and recommend to anyone going to Jaipur. Friendly and a really nice company, driver and guide. When we go back to India, we will give him a call!

We had a great day out, and even the teens are still talking about the day we had with these guys. Very welcoming and flexible. Lovely welcome with a garland of the best scented roses and a bindi for each of us. Bottle of water each as well. We booked and paid online well before departure for our 6 week jaunt through 4 countries with our teenagers. The plus in doing this for us was it was done, paid, no hassles and I didn't have to do anything on trip to make things happen. That's actually a big deal, I've wasted hours and days overall on the actual holiday on family trips by booking as we go. The downside is you can lose flexibility and you most likely pay more because you can't haggle. My advice is: if you are travelling with more than one other person or if either of you is a stress head book online before you go. Otherwise you will find tuk tuk drivers everywhere who will beg you to use them for tours. Haggle away, never take the first deal and always walk away after a price then go past them again on returning from wherever you were walking to. The price drops again. Now, tricks for the newbies. Tour guides, taxi drivers, TUK tuk drivers throughout Asia will usually include in your "itinerary" stops at producers or sellers of various handicrafts. They do it because they get either direct commissions, or fuel vouchers or something else. The best in the world at the game are definitely the Indians. If you can't afford the time, to spend money or are not feeling well say no to the driver/tour guide then and there. Here is how it works: 1. "Now we take you to see how they make..." or I will take you to my friends shop just to have a look". 2. There is the warm up bit of "this is how we make...(insert craft here, perhaps genuine hand spun camel dung crocheted into original traditional tribal rug designs used by the last king. But not any old camel, these camels are direct descendents of the camels ridden by the three kings who attended the birth of a certain Jesus of Nazareth." 3. Then you see some crafts people making gorgeous things very deftly with their hands. 4.Then you are sat down to see the products displayed for your eyes only. 5. Rapport building and impressing they usually offer refreshments. 6. Products shown in order of value highest first and they watch your responses (like a skilled medium, they watch your tells to guide them). 7. Jokes are often exchanged as you haggle (the Kashmiri rug and textile traders are a tough bunch. They prefer to give you a pretty set price then give you a choice of a couple of "gifts" after the main purchase is agreed. Very shrewd bunch, expressions might be used to manage your expectations and prevent haggling such as "Don't embarrass/insult me by offering less" what tourist wants to offend the man? It's always a man in India. And he is not poor, largely the big places are big family concerns and they can buy and sell all of us. 8. Even the toughest tourist is usually worn down by their methods. On top of that they make beautiful stuff, nice things we want to take home. They have managed to disorient us further than the culture shock already has. So out comes the plastic and currency ("yes, of course Mr Alex we take all currencies if that's easier for you, or I can have someone come to your hotel to pick up the money tonight, it is no problem at all"). And, cynical as I sound we walked away after spending $900AUD on textiles that day. Lovely things, we will always remember etc. Our kids look fab in their new tailored clothes in hand stamped silk cotton cloth and our new unnecessary bedding is being posted home...and we are very experienced and cynical travelling psychologists! These guys are good! So, say no before hand if you will be unable/uncomfortable to say no and you don't want to spend.

Just had a day tour with Rashid and it was amazing. He’s funny, articulate, kind, knowledgeable about the area and will tailor the tour to what you ask him to do. He talks with you, gives some recommendations, never pushy and is an all around chill guy. Would definitely recommend booking this tour.

Just got back from this tour with Rashid. Very knowledgeable, very good driver, took us to all the main sites we wanted to see and to some hidden gems such as the flower and fruit Markets. We were staying at the Khatu Haveli which is where they did the first series of the The Real Marigold Hotel on British tv. Turns out Rashid was one of the celebrities drivers at the time, showed us some vids he had taken. Highly recommended. If you want to see the real parts of this amazing place then you could ask for no better guide!

We had a wonderful day with Ali in his tuk tuk tour of Jaipur. Greeted with fresh flower garlands and bottled water. We were asked what we would like to do/see during our tour. We told him our interests and he made some suggestions too. We felt very safe in his tuk tuk, he had great knowledge of the city and spoke English very well. We asked to go to a jewellers to get souvenir gifts and ended up buying wedding rings! Thanks to his jewellers recommendation. We saw all the main must see’s in Jaipur & more. He couldn’t do enough for us. Thank you Ali!

This was our second visit to Jaipur, and thought we knew it quite well, until we booked a days tour with Janu. Mr Rashid was fantastic, picked us up on time, took us to places we had not seen before, and was a font of knowledge. He even let my adult daughter drive the Tuctuc! Well recommended

Excellent tour!! Rashid is the best driver. Ask for him!! We’ve got to see almost all of Jaipur city and the restaurant where we had lunch was deliciuous! Super recomended, won’t regret it!!

This tour was a great option to visit Jaipur's main sights + a few places out of the radar (like the flower market). Rashid and other drivers welcomed us with water, soda and a flower garland for each one of us. Also, Rashid was extremely nice and helpful, he gave an overview of each place and made sure we didn't fall into any tourist trap when walking around by ourselves or purchasing tickets. The only couple of things I would have in mind before booking this tour: (i) if you are in a big group you won't have a big tuk tuk for all, as they provide one auto for every 2 people; (ii) Jaipur is very polluted, so I recommend bringing mask for the ride; (iii) they drove the group to a restaurant and to stores from where they get some commission (we didn't mind because both the restaurant and the fabric shop were great and they asked us if we wanted to go there beforehand). Overall, great option for sightseeing and great value for money.
