We did a full day Jaipur tour through Janu Private Tours. Our guide was Mr. Diwakar, the driver was Mr. Surya. A++ with gold stickers for both of them. Diwakar is born/raised in Jaipur, with fluent English, good humor and a wealth of local knowledge and stories that you just can't get from online sources or any AI. The car was modern, clean, well air-conditioned. Cold water and an array of sodas were plentiful, the driver was skilled and not too aggressive. Really couldn't ask for more.

Mr. Sumer Singh of Janu Private Tours designed a uniquely personal tour of the villages around Jaipur for our family, and we will be forever grateful for the experience. This was so much more than a typical sightseeing tour. We were warmly welcomed into a local school, where we spent time with students of all ages and their wonderful teachers. It was an utterly heartwarming experience that we will always remember. We visited local farms, enjoyed a delicious roti breakfast prepared by one of Sumer’s close acquaintances, and wandered through villages, meeting and chatting with local people along the way. The men in our family even enjoyed a delightful experience at a traditional barbershop! We also tried block printing in a setting that felt far more authentic and personal than many of the commercial experiences available to visitors. Sumer’s local connections, warmth and thoughtfulness made the day truly special. He gave us a glimpse into everyday life in India that we would never have experienced on our own. We could not have asked for a better day and recommend Sumer wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a genuine, meaningful and memorable cultural experience near Jaipur. An absolute highlight of our trip!

We booked a tour with Janu Private Tours during our visit for the Holi festival, and overall it was a very good experience. Janu took great care of us and everything was well organized from the beginning. The airport pickup worked perfectly and made our arrival very easy. The arrangements for the Holi festival were also very well prepared, so we could simply enjoy the celebration without worrying about anything. Food and drinks during the event were organized nicely as well. Janu was attentive and made sure that everything went smoothly for us. First of all, a huge thank you to our driver Imran - he was absolutely wonderful!! From the very first moment we met him, he was incredibly friendly, open, and warm-hearted. He made us feel comfortable right away, and it was clear that he genuinely cared about making our day special. After picking us up directly from our hotel in the morning, Imran first took us for a short stop to enjoy a fresh lassi: A perfect and very authentic start to the day. From there, we began our tour through Jaipur, visiting all the places we wanted to see. Throughout the entire day we felt very comfortable and well taken care of. Imran was patient, helpful, and navigated the busy streets of Jaipur with great skill. He always made sure we had enough time at every stop and that we were enjoying ourselves. We can absolutely recommend Imran to anyone visiting Jaipur, a fantastic way to discover the city!

🌿 I recently did a Jaipur trip with Janu Private Tours, and they handled everything — sightseeing, itinerary planning, and transport — so smoothly that the entire journey felt completely stress-free. From hotel bookings to refreshments between different locations, everything was thoughtfully arranged. The cabs were always clean and well-maintained, but what truly touched me were the little details. Once, I forgot to carry my water bottle and wet wipes. When I returned to the car after sightseeing, I found the temperature set comfortably, along with water bottles and wet wipes kept ready for me. I have used this company Services several times when I’ve had friends visiting me in India and they have always been exceptional. It’s unusual here to find guide services that listen to what you want and plan your day around it but these guys manage it every time they are efficient, knowledgeable easy to understand and the cars provided are always clean well maintained with excellent drivers. As I said, I’ve used this company several times and I won’t hesitate to do so again the next time I have friends visiting.

Sumer was our private driver for our day trip. He speaks perfect English and knew all the best places to visit. He was punctual, polite and really respectful. He accommodated us when we needed certain supplies and was fun to be around. I’d definitely ask if we could have him as our driver the next time we visit.

We had Sumer as our driver/guide for 6 days in Jaipur and he made our experience complete. He was so kind, chilled and knowledgeable with perfect English too (which helps us because we cannot speak Hindi). He personalised our tour so that we went to more calm and relaxing places. What a fantastic day tour of Jaipur with Janu Tours. Our driver Ayub Khan and Tour guide Jai Singh were incredible from hotel pick-up to drop-off. Nothing was too much trouble and they took us to all the important sights and threw in a few bonus locations which was so kind. They took care of us brilliantly all day long and made the trip such a memorable one for us. We would highly recommend Janu Tours to anyone considering visiting India and we would certainly be booking with them if we return to India in the future.

We had an amazing time on our private 2-day guided tour of Jaipur. Zaheer, our driver, and Suria, our guide, really went out of their way to make sure we had an unforgettable experience. They showed us all the key attractions in the city, but also took us to some lesser-known spots that we never would have discovered on our own. Suria’s knowledge was impressive – he shared fascinating insights about the city's history and architecture that made everything so much more meaningful. Both Zaheer and Suria were so considerate, always making sure we were comfortable and that our needs were met. They also gave us plenty of time to explore on our own when we wanted to. We’ve done a fair number of tours since moving to India, but this one definitely stands out as the best in terms of quality and organization. Can’t wait to book another tour with Janu and his team!

Our tour was amazing. We saw so many great things, including the Amber, Elefantastic, Nahargarh Fort, etc. Our tour guide Surya was really the best I’ve ever had. He told us so much about everything we saw. After the tour, I told him that he should’ve been a college history professor. He was also an amazing photographer and took some great pictures of us with my phone. He knew all the right spots. The driver Zaheer was also very nice and helpful. The car was excellent. We actually went out for two days. I would recommend this Tour or anyone.

We had a wonderful full day tour with Diwakar as our driver and Puspendra as our guide. Diwakar's car was in pristine conditions and his driving was excellent. He provided us with cold water. Puspendra's explanations were very clear and detailed. He was very friendly and clearly has a passion for learning and being a guide. Overall would highly recommend!!

During my stay I got to embark on all kinds of adventures all accompanied by my now dear friends from Janu’s tour company. They were all amazing, well-planned and I never had to worry about a single thing. Even as a solo-travelling woman I always felt safe and comfortable. Janu’s team consists of kind professionals who are there to help you with anything you may need! They kindly organised a cooking class and a day tour for me which i am more than grateful for. What really stuck out to me was the personal connections I was able to make, good conversations on the rooftop and lots of fun. I have travelled all around India during my almost 4 months there and I have to say that this was one of the most memorable experiences. Definitely a gem when in Jaipur.

We had a great day the views were amazing, we took some great pictures. The place that was picked for lunch - The curry spoon food was delicious and our tour guide and driver were very knowledgeable and made everything easy for us to understand.

Recommend excellent guide - Miss Bharti Singh. It was great to have a female guide for a change. She was really knowledgeable about Jaipur and good to be able to talk about Indian culture and gain a woman’s perspective. The UNESCO world heritage site of Jantar Mantar which contains a Royal Observatory is really fascinating and Miss Bharti knows a great deal about the subject. She is available through Trailfinders and also works as an independent tour guide. As expected she could recommend good stores for textiles, gem stones and lunch at the Royal Palace.

Malik was super knowledgeable about the Taj, Baby Taj and the Mogul Empire! Lots of in depth information and cool inights

We really enjoyed our day with Janu! He showed us nice places in Jaipur with good stories and laughter. When you are traveling with Janu you are definitely in good hands.

Naveen was an amazing guide! Took us to all the coolest, most beautiful places. We saw beautiful palaces and he customized the tour to what we were interested in. Never felt rushed- highly recommend

Where to start; probably with the man himself Janu. We arrived in Jaipur late in the evening after a disrupted journey from Agra. We were worried that we had too little time to see Jaipur with a flight scheduled at 1pm the following day, but in sweeps Janu with a plan for an early start the following day which allowed us to see as much of Jaipur as we could hope for. Janu laid the foundations, but it was his friend Ayub that delivered a phenomenal whistle stop tour of Jaipur’s main attractions (throwing in some hidden gems such as Lassi and Chai) driving us around the city with unrivalled skill, driving and conversation. Thank you Janu and thank you Ayub, we hope to return to your beautiful city again.

The tour was organised for us by our hotel. We only had 2 days in Jaipur so were worried that we wouldn’t have enough time to do everything but we saw so much more than we were expecting. Our driver Jeetu picked us up from the train station and we met our guide Surya in the morning. Surya had a lot of knowledge and explained a lot of the history as well as taking great photos for us. We felt safe in the car and walking around. It was an excellent experience and we would highly recommend the tour.

I came across Janu Private Tours after a bit of research and I have to say what a find. The reviews they have as a business is all the confidence I needed and we were not disappointed. From the first contact with Aqueel, who was brilliant in sorting our itinerary and catered to all our needs. We got PowerPoint presentation on the full day tour with private guide and Jhalana Leopard reserve. Nothing is too much. Airport pick up was smooth and a very special mention to our driver Naveen Kumar, real gentleman and again nothing was too much, drove us around for 3 days and is dropping us to the airport tomorrow. Special mention to him. The tour guide we had was amazing, Jai Singh, nothing about Jaipur he does not know and happy to share his knowledge, a private guide is a must, if it’s Jai Singh that’s a bonus, if the driver is Naveen you are in safe hands all round. Did the Leopard safari today and we saw 2 leopards, close up, amazing. If you book this I strongly suggest you ask for the driver/guide Lucky, amazing guy and knows the reserve like the back of his hands and goes the extra mile to give you the best experience. 10mins and we had to be out but we saw a leopard from distance and he knew a Leopard was going to make its way to the track, so we parked up and there the leopard was, 20ft away walking down the path, Lucky is a must for this. Cannot recommend Janu highly enough, special mentions to Aqueel, Naveen Kumar, Jai Singh and Lucky. Thanks you all for making our 3 days special.

Lovely tour of Jaipur. I was a bit nervous about travelling solo as a woman, but driver Ayub and guide Pushpendra were both stupendous. They even managed the itinerary order to limit hot weather exposure for this heat-averse Canadian. I learned a ton, and Pushpendra was kind enough to share some of his own lived experience with me as well. Only note: be aware that the folks running the textile factory “demonstrations” are pretty aggressive salespeople.

Recommended tour! Surya (guide) & Naveen (driver) have been amazing the whole day and reshaped the tour to our needs in terms of places to see and hours. The guide speaks an excellent English and is super knowledgeable, he knows A LOT about Jaipur, India, Hinduism and history. They came with a comfortable SUV which was a relief from the monsoon! We really enjoyed our day and can only recommend this company.

This review is over a year late (my bad), but the sentiment remains the same. We visited Jaipur in December of 2022 and made the right call to pick Janu Travels as our private guide. They were professional from the get-go, picking us up from the airport in a comfortable car and accommodating our schedules. Surya was our guide, and I cannot recommend him enough. He's a master storyteller and will transport you to a different world with his words, and if he likes you, you might even get a free palm reading thrown in. We saw everything we wanted to and then some, ate yummy food and shopped all at their recommended places. The icing on the cake was the connection with Janu himself, meeting him and listening to his fantastic life story on his hotel balcony over steaming chai. We will be back.

Janu Tours are the tour company for small group/private tours. The number on the website is Janu himself, and as soon as you get talking to him you will know you're in good hands. He's enthusiastic, professional and so very helpful. I was lucky to have him personally for the tours around the city, and they went perfectly with stops at the main sites and lots of useful little detours to the local areas (on request!). Can't recommend enough.

We just used Janu Private Tours to get the most out of a few days in Jaipur. Our guide, Naveen, was fantastic. He is so accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable and his English is excellent. He took us to a few key attractions and a number of lesser known places (including the best Lassi in town!). He also took us to great businesses when we wanted to do some shopping, e.g. a block printing factory for high quality clothes. I highly recommend Janu Private Tours. They are happy to take you wherever you want to go and will show you the best of Jaipur.

My husband and I were so lucky to Jano plan our trip to Jaipur and Udaipur. We had a wonderful experience with a list of things to do and places to visit especially designed to our interests. He knew exactly where to take us and his drivers and guides are all very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful..I would definitely recommend him to anyone I know because I trust he will be able to show them exactly what they want in the most generous and genuine way .

We had an amazing tour of Jaipur city from historical sites like Amberd palace and fort to some of the best food and shopping. The car we were driven in was clean and comfortable and the drivers so cool. Their knowledge and connections of Jaipur is unmatched. This is a great experience for couples families and solo travels. Both the tour guide [Rakesh] and the driver [Surya] were really good. Rakesh was extremely knowledgeable about all the sites, the monuments and anything related with Jaipur in particular, and India in general, but also fun and entertaining. As an example: his insight on Jaipur helped us avoid a massive traffic jam. He had a clear and well planned schedule, but was also flexible when needed, which made the day really enjoyable. And he was always happy to answer questions, no matter if they were about architecture or history or traditions. Totally recommend them.

We did a private day tour of Jaipur, including Amer Fort, City Palace, and Hawa Mahal. We loved this tour. Our guide Surya was super knowledgeable about everything we came across and answered our most esoteric questions. It was a pleasure to spend the day with him. It felt like we were hanging with a friend rather than being led by a tour guide. Our driver was Mr. Jaheer and he would join our conversations while driving between the stops. Vivek was a wonderful guide - we hit all the essentials, great details, ensured our comfort, and thankfully did not dump us into a store where we were pressured to buy something (very common in India). We had a great time and felt like we saw the best Jaipur had to offer!

We did a full day tour of Jaipur with Surya (Tour Guide) and Jeetu (Driver) and it was a blast! Surya is incredibly knowledgeable and an excellent storyteller, at every place we visited he told the story of its history in a very compelling way and could answer any questions we had. It's clear he loves what he does. He and Jeetu were also incredibly considerate hosts and customized our tour based on our interests and needs. It felt more like exploring with a friend who knows all the cool spots rather than a typical tour guide. Big thanks to Surya and Jeetu for being so awesome P.S. Try to hit the road early as Jaipur traffic is no joke!

We were with 4 wonderful days for Mr Rakesh, our driver, in this tour that was arranged by India Someday (who we would also strongly recommend). Mr Rakesh is well connected. Thank you, Mr Rakesh, for all your hospitality and driving us through all the traffic. We were traveling with family of 4 adults and one child. Good to pair this tour with just a little independent research about where you want to go for sightseeing and shopping. We would recommend.

Absolutely wonderful experience! The driver was very knowledgeable about roads to we were rarely stuck in traffic and the guide was extremely proficient in Jaipur history. Very fun and educational experience that taught us so much about the history of Jaipur. If you are looking to tour Jaipur, this is the only way to do it.

I could see much of Jaipur in one day, Vivek was the guide and gave me a lot of explanations as we were passing by the places in fort, city palace and others. The food at the restaurant was also very good. Car was comfortable, and the driver Naveen, drove very safely, despite of the heavy traffic in Jaipur. Excellent

You just jave to meet Janu I swear. He wont try to sell anything and at the same time he will provide anything you need. Many times he wont even take money or ask for bellow avetage price. Not only did he organize a great tour for us - he saved us when we messed up with trains, got us a new ticket, let us stay in his hotel for no extra charge. Most trustworthy man in Jaipur.
