Such a personal experience, I was the only one! They are so helpful informing you about the history and then helping you finish your project. Accommodating and nice, they helped me pick the colors and also allowed me to do 4 napkins instead of 6. They arranged transportation as well (opted for including it) and ensured my safety.

Incredible experience and Monty was such a fun guide for us. My wife and I booked this last minute and they were incredibly accommodating. It was so interesting to see the inside of the factory, and we love our printed fabric. Monty talks about the history and culture of block printing which was really interesting. It's a great, chill way to spend a few hours.

Dheeraj was a great guide and very knowledgeable about the block printing process, which we observed in action before getting a chance to try for myself. There were lots of blocks/patterns to choose from and help and support when printing. I was very pleased with the experience. Dheeraj was even kind enough to spot I had a button missing on my sleeve and found one to match :-) This kind of thoughtfulness makes all the difference.

Very good experience. We did it with our kids and they loved it. We can choose through range of different elements (table clothes to apron or scarf). We really appreciated it. The team explained and helped us to print. We recommend this activity if you are in Jaipur. And then you can bring home your own DIY hand block painting!

Monty hosted our hand block printing experience and made it both an informative and fun experience. The demonstration by the professional printers highlighted their skills and expertise. We were fortunate to be present when new blocks were being tested to see the proofing. When it came to our own printing we were given options to allow us our own creativity and assistance to make up for our lack of skill. We both came through with printed items we like. In addition to supporting our printing experience, Monty also provided a wealth of information about experiences in the region. Thank you for everything, Monty! It was great!

Amazing experience -- we learned so much about the block printing process, got to tour the factory and see artisans at work, and we're guided through the process of making our own beautiful scarves that we will treasure forever.

My 5 year old daughter and I participated in this experience and it was an incredible one. The workshop is very organized- explaining the history of Jaipur, block printing itself and the process of the printing all before creating an item yourself! My daughter chose to make a kids apron which they adjusted to her size and I made placemats. We were not rushed at any time. Both Balram, our guide, and Munna, the artist, were very patient, took lots of pictures and chatted with us. I also appreciated that this experience took extra precautions and care for my little girl making sure she could see everything, reach what she needed, stayed safe, and they took no pictures of her during the experience. Could not recommend this more to anyone slightly interested! Also, very fair pricing. We took our own transportation but they provided private transportation as needed. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ experience all around!

We had such a wonderful time doing the hand block printing workshop! It was a fun, engaging, and truly unique experience. My daughter especially loved it — she was completely absorbed in choosing the stamps and creating her own designs. The best part is that we brought home beautiful handmade souvenirs from Jaipur: a lovely scarf and several printed fabrics that will always remind us of this special moment. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the hosts were incredibly patient and kind. This is definitely an experience we will carry with us in our memories. Highly recommended!

Monty was an excellent host for our 3-hour block printing experience. He's clearly passionate about the craft and took the time to share the fascinating history of block printing in Jaipur, explaining the different natural dyes used and how master woodworkers carve the intricate wooden blocks by hand. The class itself was perfectly paced - we never felt rushed and had plenty of time to experiment and create quality prints. We each made a piece (I did a scarf and my wife made a bag), and got to choose from Monty's collection of beautiful wooden blocks and decide on our own patterns. Monty was brilliant at offering suggestions on what combinations would work well together, but always let us make the final decisions. What really impressed us was Monty's approach - he was knowledgeable and enthusiastic without being pushy. At the end of the session, there was absolutely no pressure to purchase anything extra, which we really appreciated. He genuinely seemed to care about us having a great experience and learning about the craft. The workshop is located in an industrial estate, but it's easy to reach by Uber from central Jaipur. We went in thinking it would be a nice activity, but it turned out to be so much more fun than we anticipated! We left with some really lovely pieces and a genuine appreciation for this traditional art form. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Jaipur!

Monty gave us a clear explanation of how block printing is done and its history. The best part was trying it out for ourselves; with help, it was quite manageable, but you realize how difficult it is if you have no experience. Definitely give it a try!

Learning to block print was so much fun! Monty and his team were really knowledgeable and really let us go wild with the patterns we wanted to use. You also have the opportunity to shop in the warehouse's storeroom after the experience which is nice. But I wouldn't recommend going too crazy there as there are other more affordable options in Jaipur.

I enjoyed this block printing workshop as it's a style of clothing I enjoy wearing. I had the whole workshop to myself as I booked this on the day of arriving to Jaipur. Monty was knowledgeable and presented the workshop well despite it being just me. It was eye opening to see how much skill and labour goes into block printing, so for that alone I recommend this experience. You also get to make your own scarf or apron and have chai at the end. I appreciate that there was no affiliate or on-selling after the workshop finished as this has happened on a few of the other Viator experiences I've booked. Lovely workshop.

Great fun learning to block print - of course it’s not as easy as the experts make it look! Sense of achievement though being able to bring back a completed item and a window into an ancient art. Highly recommend

Block Printing. This was so much fun! Our guide was informative and friendly. He gave us a full history of hand block printing and its importance in Jaipur. Then we got a tour of the workshop where people were busy hand block printing beautiful patterns. And then, finally, we got to practice hand block printing ourselves. I worked on a scarf, and my partner did an apron. There was a team of people around who were very helpful and supportive. I got to do my own thing, but if I had a question, there was always someone nearby to help. When we were finished, the cloth had to go through a chemical process and washing, so we hung out in the front office where we could shop for clothing. We were given tea, and when our scarves and aprons were ready, we hit the road. It was such a fun activity. Everyone had a good time, and I love that we got to take home something to remind us of our time in Jaipur.

This was one of the best experiences we have had. Monty and his team did an incredible job in explaining block printing, its history and then taught us how to do it step by step. It was immense fun and I would highly recommend it to everyone.

This was a really great experience! I had been looking forward to this workshop and was not disappointed. It was a lot of fun to make our own aprons and scarves (about 5’ in length by 2’ in width. Hoping I can use it as a table runner). The only thing I wish we got to see was how they make the wooden blocks they use and how they mix the dye. Other than that it was really informative and neat to see everyone at work.

I had such an amazing afternoon with Monty at the block printing factory. He was very informative about the history and tradition of block printing. You can tell the production at this factory is good quality as they are very precise. The team helped to teach me how to line up the blocks and I was very pleased with the result. I really recommend this experience as it is at a proper factory and not a location set up for tourists.

This was so much fun! Very interesting to see the workings of a Jaipur fabric factory. The guide was friendly, as were the other factory workers, and it was really enjoyable, great way to learn about the history of this very niche printing method, and so fun to get to do some of it yourself

This was an excellent off tourist experience to get to the heart of block printing in Jaipur. My daughter and I learnt the intricate skill of block printing from making blocks to colors to actually printing a scarf. Monty is extremely warm , deep knowledge of the art and ensuring tourists have a great experience. On a hot day Monty had never ending supply of cold water bottles. Monty and Pannu are excellent

Monty provided me with a lot of interesting history of woodblock printing in India. It was great going behind the scene and witnessing these artisans at work. Great experience actually carrying out the technique and making your own creation. Monty personally has a lot of travel experience, knowledge is warm and very helpful.

I absolutely adored this experience. This was not touristy AT ALL and was in a true block printing factory. Getting to watch the artisans design these incredible fabrics was so eye-opening. This is a beautiful art. The class itself was really educational and enjoyable. I got to make a beautiful scarf and really enjoyed designing it. Getting to first hand try block printing was really fun! Highly recommend this tour in Jaipur. It was truly one of my favorite experiences!

It was great to learn about the history of block printing and hear about each step on the hand block printing, for example carving the blocks and making the colours. We watch some amazing printing being done in the warehouse and then we had a go ourselves and printed a scarf each. This was an amazing experience that we both really enjoyed and Monty and the team were lovely! Thank you!

Amazing day, we felt completely welcome the second we got to the factory and were shown around the different rooms whilst Monty explained the different steps to block printing. We made our way up to the top floor to start our own block printing and the process was explained in huge detail by Monty which resulted in the beautiful outcome of our scarfs, I felt so much more knowledgeable after the class. I really recommend!

We had the most fantastic morning at the handblock printing class with Monty! We learnt so much about this traditional process and made beautiful scarves, picking our own colour schemes and patterns. Monty and his team were so friendly and helpful, and made us feel at home with a tour around the factory and some delicious Masala Chai. The best paint blocking class with the best guide and kindest paint block workers! This class was a full immersion of paint blocking and was the most wonderful experience. The whole family (young adult/ adult) enjoyed (and even dad!) If you’re thinking of doing a tour/class, this one is it! Seriously, don’t miss it!!

We thoroughly enjoyed this class. Our group of six all found it to be a very enjoyable experience, and it is one of our favorite memories from our trip.
