We had a brilliant tour with Jyoti who took us on a comprehensive tour of the old part of Jaipur. We visited a block print workshop where we got to try making our own prints, and statue and a bangle workshop. We sampled some local delicacies, and saw various market streets with different specialties whilst he educated us on the local history and culture. Highly recommend him as a very knowledgeable guide and a great tour!
We did the tour as a last minute addition for our stay in Jaipur and it turned out to the highlight of the3 days here. We had so much fun trying out the block printing , got to see a personalised bangle made and keep and tried some food. The rickshaw ride during sunset let us see the city from a side. Our guide was so friendly and told a lot about the history. If you have a free early evening book Jyoti .
My family and I did three separate activities with Le Tour De India in Jaipur including the morning bike tour, the evening walk, and a tour of Amer village. Each experience was equally impactful and our guides, Hanu and Jyoti, were wonderful. I was particularly impressed by the tours’ immersion with the locals and how genuinely the tour guides interacted with the communities we were visiting. Also, both tour guides were exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly. My families trip to Jaipur would not have been the same without Le Tour De India and I am exceptionally grateful for the amazing experiences they have created.
My #1 suggestion for anyone visiting Jaipur is to book all your tours with La Tour de India. The energetic guides are truly passionate about what they do, happily and knowledgeably answer any question about India, and curate remarkable experiences that allowed my family and me to authentically connect with craftspeople and other denizens of Jaipur. This tour —with the fabulous guides Jyoti & khushi—takes you on rooftops, into a private home, through colorful markets and beyond. I had been thinking of booking a block printing tour with another company but I’m so glad I didn’t becuse this tour provided that experience to us! The day after this tour, When our plans changed at the last minute for an experience our hotel had tried to arrange, I immediately called Khushal and he created a bespoke tour of the village under the Amer fort with another of our favorite Le Tour de India guides, Hanu. Before I came to India, I had booked several Jaipur tours with other 5-star TripAdvisor companies. None can even begin to compare with Khushal’s team.
If you want to have the time of your life, book with Jyoti and prepare to be transported into a perfect night of adventure, learning and making a new Indian friend. As long as we were coming all the way to Jaiper, we decided to expand our day with this amazing night tour: Jyoti made it the best four hours of our entire Indian vacation.
We had a wonderful evening with Pushp and Kushni! Wondered around the streets of the city, stopping at little food shops to try out classic snacks. Pushp & Kushni were a great laugh and talked us through the foods, traditions and local area amazingly!
I had an absolutely wonderful experience. It was the perfect blend of culture, craftsmanship, and incredible food. Our guide Jyoti was knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about the city, sharing fascinating stories and insights that brought Jaipur’s history and daily life to life. It felt authentic and personal, not something you’d get from a typical tour. I felt this tour was a fantastic way to explore Jaipur beyond the usual tourist spots, but also seeing the highlights along the way. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to experience the heart and soul of the city!
This was our second walking tour of Jaipur. If the first one was excellent then this was even better. First by electric tuktuk and then by foot, Pushp and Kushi guided us through their city. We watched the marble carvers, joined the block printers (and their neighbours wedding ceremony), learned the ancient skill of bangle making and ate a wonderful selection of street foods from fritters , to potatos soaked with tamarind, pickles, fig halwa and handmade cardomom kulfi. We started at 4pm and followed the sunset til the city came alive. Pushp really loves his city and walked us through traffic without a pause. Really, really a must-do experience and another fabulous product from Le Tour de India, who we have toured with 3 times in the last 2 weeks includingbone in Udaipur.
The best afternoon with Pushp and Khushi! If you want to experience and wander areas that you otherwise would not know to go to, this is it❤️ After having a fantastic time with Pushp for the cycling tour, we decided to join him the next day for another tour! This tour felt like hanging out with friends, all while learning a lot about Jaipur’s strong craftsmanship industry found in color hand blocking and sculpturing. Riding on a rickshaw in the city, we were shown the arts and fantastic street food! I almost don’t want to spoil the details of what we did, but what I can say is that I knew this was not something I could recreate without the team. It also ended at a perfect time for dinner, and wish we had another day to do another tour!!
A truly special experience wandering the markets of Jaipur’s old city - full of colour, craft, and soul. We tried block printing, watched sculpture and bangle making, and soaked in the artistry everywhere. Sharing masala chai with Jyorty and Pushpy while getting to know them was amazing. Would 100% recommend!
Really enjoyed the block printing and the walks down the market streets. Seeing the artisans working was fantastic. Thanks so much for a fabulous time. Our guide Jyothi was knowledgeable and organized.
Le Tour de India is simply the best company to work with for activities in Rajasthan. I added the Heritage Walk Tour on to my agenda and was pleased beyond compare. I got to see how traditional crafts are done in Jaipur...e.g., Block Printing (I got to make my own scarf to commemorate my amazing Marwari horse ride...also an option with this company), design my own bangle which was made for me, see the beautiful Jaipur sites lit at night, and best of all, eat the AMAZING street food! Don't miss this "where it really happens" experience of life in Rajasthan. The timeless traditions being experienced up close and personally, was an experience I will never forget. AND, I even left the bangles I bought at the shop. Khushal from Le Tour de India, tracked them down, and shipped them to me at a future destination of my trip and I received them before I left to go back to the USA. It's a level of customer service I have rarely if ever seen before. If this company is offering the experience, you can rest assured that it will be completely worth both your TIME AND YOU MONEY. There's a reason why they are #1!!! Thanks for everything Khush! SG
Our tour guide Archie was amazing! He has a background in architecture so his knowledge of the buildings of Jaipur was so in depth and fascinating! Very warm, welcoming and we felt instantly comfortable in his presence. This tour or any of the tour de India tours is definitely worth your whole!! 10/10 xx
I did a heritage walk with Gaurav in Udaipur and he was a wonderful tour guide. We walked around the whole old city and he showed me some amazing paintings. I had a blast and would love to come back to this city again.
I would recommend this tour to anyone! It shows you the real side of Jaipur, with all its beautiful crafts and great food.
Visited the city and learnt all about the history and culture whilst enjoying street food and discovering local crafts. The block print workshop was SO fun, as was walking the rooftops by night. Archit was so informative and helpful! Highly recommend this tour!
This is a great tour for grown ups, the tour allows you to meet the artisans of the city of Jaipur. Guests have the chance to take part in making some art and it’s really fun. The only issue was we had two young kids with us, aprox. 10 years old and I wouldn’t recommend bringing children that young on the tour.
It was such a unique experience. Our guide Aman was super knowledgeable and friendly, and took us to spots we never have found. It was very special to meet and be able to take part of local handcraft making and learn about the different communities first-hand.
We had a fantastic time following up the morning bike tour with the amazing walking tour at night. So many sights we wouldn’t have found without our fantastic guide and interesting local experiences!
Nice tourguide, fun activities and safe streetfood. Block printing, see how marble statues are made. Insight of a Bazar building .Have a bracelet custumized. Recommended!
Wow! Firstly, we were greeted by the owner of the company with warmth and kindness. Then our guides pushprajat & Jyoti guided us around the lesser seen sights of this working city. The insightful knowledge that was imparted was informative and delivered in an inspiring fashion. We ventured through architectural delights and craftsmanship, looking at daily life in Jaipur. From marble carving/block printing/laquer bracelet making, to sampling the edible delicacies of the city. Even unseasonal rain didn’t stop play!! The 2 guides made our stay in Jaipur one to remember. 10/10. We also booked the 3 hour morning bike tour of the old city which was truly amazing. They even offerered my mother a seat in the support vehicle! Highly recommend!
Had a great experience with our guide @khusi and @Jyotiraditya during the tour . They explained all the details about the marble work, local snacks, block printing and bangles making. Thank you guys for the wonderful memories 😊🙏
The tour was really good and Mr.Jyotiraditya and Ms.Khushi hosted us well and explained us everything really well. They were very calm, polite and i would recommend this tour to anyone who would visit Jaipur.
So amazing to walk the streets of Jaipur. Rajov was a great guide that took well care of us and showed us around. All the sights and smells. Its worth the time while you are in Jaipur.
Our walking and rickshaw tour with Le Tour De India was a great experience. The combination of strolling through the buzzing bazaars and hopping into a rickshaw was perfect. We tasted local food, watched craftsmen at work, and got a behind-the-scenes glimpse into everyday life in Jaipur that we’d never have discovered alone. The tour was well paced and organised – lively yet relaxed. It struck the ideal balance of culture, craft, and scenery, and including views over the bustling streets in the evening glow that will stay with us forever. A truly special way to experience Jaipur! ⸻ Would you like me to make this review slightly shorter and snappier (better for TripAdvisor/Google) or keep it rich and descriptive (better for travel
I was totally impressed with Khush. His smile makes you feel very comfortable and welcome. He explained everything and allowed me to take as many photos as I wanted. I mentioned to him that I wanted to taste mangoes, so when I was taken to the house of the couple for the block printing experience, they had fresh mango for me to eat. That blew my mind! I highly recommend this tour or any of Le Tour de India. Thank you Khush and your TukTuk driver!
Great fun. The guys were good company and took good care of us. Not your conventional walking tour, with enjoyable hands-on experiences making bracelets and doing block printing. Big thanks to Pranshu, Navin and Aman.
We had a blast with Archit in Jaipur! He showed us around making us feeling the real soul of this amazing city. We experienced many locals tradition and we met lovely people. Don’t miss this tour!
Did a few other tours across India but this one was really well done. Firstly archit is super knowledgable, builds a great rapport with you and takes you to some really cool spots. It can be customised for your needs but each experience felt very personal and well done.. I particularly loved the block printing experience and the people there were so friendly. For my first visit to Jaipur, this was perfect and made me really enjoy the city.
This tour is a must if you want to see this city in the right way. Fun, informative, and delicious Indian stuff are there for you. But keep in mind it is not for the faint hearted like every thing in India
Lovely afternoon out. Saw a lot of the city which we wouldn't have seen without the guide (Himmat). Also tried a hand at block painting and saw much of the cities traditional craftsmanship. Would recommend to anyone travelling to Jaipur.
My partner and I did the night walk which was an amazing experience, it was absolutely amazing being able to see all the main production of the old town and see so many different colour in the different shops. We had the opportunity to try different street food which tasted great, and the guide Archie was so nice and helpful, he explained with great enthusiasm the secrets about the town and was kind and answered all our questions.
We went on the tour with Johri and Himmat. The tour was amazing. We saw parts of the city that you could never get to experience without a guide. We felt so safe and comfortable among the hustle and bustle of Jaipur. The mix of activities, demonstrations and sight-seeing was perfect in the cool evening. The tour was very enjoyable and I would highly recommend the tour for the unique experiences and wonderful tour guides. If we had time we would have loved to do a second tour!
We loved our evening walking tour and highly recommend, we definitely got to see and experience much more than we would have done on our own. Our guide Archit was a wonderful host who was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We loved exploring the narrow streets and laneways learning about the different arts and skills of the local people. We enjoyed our block printing, watching a jewellery maker make a bangle for us and enjoyed the local foods we were able to taste. Riding around on a rickshaw was also a fun experience. Would highly recommend and a big thanks to Archit for a wonderful evening.
A fantastic evening spent exploring Jaipur. Himmat & Johri were our guides for this tour. The whole thing from start to finish was outstanding with a perfect mix of information, culture, food and activities. A wonderful way to explore the city when it comes alive at night. Highly recommend this tour if you’re visiting Jaipur.
Jaipur’s streets buzzed with energy as I joined Archit, our guide—an architect whose deep passion for the city’s heritage made every moment unforgettable. We began with a mesmerizing block-printing session, where Archit unveiled the centuries-old artistry behind each hand-carved design. With his guidance, I created my own print—a cherished keepsake. Next, we wandered through Bangle Street, where a skilled artisan, at Archit’s request, crafted a delicate glass bangle just for me—a true testament to Jaipur’s craftsmanship. The most breathtaking moment came atop the bazaar rooftops, where Jaipur stretched out in a stunning panorama. As Archit shared tales of Maharaja Jai Singh, history felt alive around us. The journey ended with a feast of local flavors, a perfect finale to a day of discovery. This wasn’t just a tour—it was an immersion into Jaipur’s soul, made extraordinary by Archit’s knowledge, warmth, and passion.
Himmat and Jyoti (apologies for any misspellings) were the guides for our 2+2 evening tour of Jaipur’s old city. Each couple got a dedicated tuk-tuk with an accompanying guide for the longer transits between points of interest. When we hopped off the rides and walked through the market streets, they worked together to tell the story of the city they evidently love. We’d already seen most of Jaipur’s ‘top hits’ in our own during our first 2 days here. We’d even hired the licensed guides for some of those bigger attractions, and they had delivered solid information. But it was Himmat and Jyoti that made this city come alive for us. They introduced us to the lives, experiences, and trades of the Pink City’s finest artisans and craftsmen (and women). These locals invited us into their homes and businesses (often the same place) like we were family. We’re very grateful to Le Tour De India for showing us the city’s best side. A further shout-out to Himmat. We’d arrived for the tour with the realization that we’d double-booked our evening. Our laundry had been sent out, leaving us with just the clothes on our backs and a flight the next day. In a matter of minutes, Himmat called the laundromat before they closed and arranged for our wash to be delivered back to our hotel. All this while multi-tasking with the actual tour! He is a very capable and generous person. Anyway, back to the tour. Highlights included souvenir bangles with a back-story, and hands-on creation of traditional fabric prints. There was also delicious food from neighborhood stalls, and home-cooked snacks from a host family. Not to mention the magic of sunset, and the glitter and glow of shop windows and moments. Last but not least, Himmat’s magic book bag! He fished out water, hand sanitizer, tissue and every other needed item; at just the right time. Truly, we cannot recommend this experience enough. SIX STARS!
LOVED this tour! It was full of the most pleasant surprises. The guides, Jyoti and Himmat, were both excellent. They answered all of our questions, spoke great English, and were so prepared (a total “mom bag” full of sanitizer, candy, water and even Kleenex!). The tour couldn’t have been more enjoyable.
Excellent walk with Archit, looking at Jaipur’s architecture and meeting local artisans. We block printed our own handkerchiefs, had bespoke lacquer bracelets made for us, ate some street food, walked over some ( slightly tricky ) rooftops, and took in the evening lights and sights. A fun experience.
The tour at dusk gave us a different perspective of Jaipur. The traffic was crazy but Archit, our guide, helped us cross the roads. We enjoyed making our own woodblock handkerchiefs and witnessed other traditional handicrafts.
This was probably the highlight of my Jaipur trip - you get to see beyond the typical sours and Himmat was the best guide! Great food, great company, and we both learnt so much! I won’t spoil anything but if you book this you’re definitely in for a treat! Thanks again Himmat
if you’ve ever watched Anthony Bourdain, you know that the best way to experience a city is after dark. My night tour of Jaipur with Himmad felt like being on one of his shows. Himmad is more than just a guide; he’s like a friend who knows the city inside out. He took us through bustling streets alive with energy, introducing us to the best street food. Each bite was a celebration of local flavors, and he knew exactly where to go, avoiding any tourist traps. Traveling with Himmad was a deep dive into Jaipur’s heart and soul. If you want an authentic experience, don’t miss this tour. Highly recommend!
We did the evening walking tour with Archie. He was very welcoming and knowledgeable and took us through the city at night. We tried amazing street food, made printed handkerchiefs and had bangles made in the market. We then climbed onto the rooftops for an amazing view of the city at night. A wonderful experience, very highly recommended
Great experience. So much fun and laughter was definitely a highlight of our Indian trip. Archie and Navine showed us a side of Jaipur no other tour guide provided.
I though the morning bike tour was amazing till I did this tour. Once again the boys, this time Archie and Navine were amazing in showing us Jaipur's talented artists and night life. We got to learn lots about marble carving, block printing where we created our own masterpiece to take home. Bangle making and it's importance in India culture and to see our own bangles being made. We got to taste so many different foods and walked the night markets seeing how the experts do it. Riding in a rickshaw at the busiest time if the day was an experience that was made fun and safe. Thank thank thank so much. We now think Jaipur is the best curry in India.
The walking and tuk-tuk tour was very interesting and enjoyable. Our guide, Archit, provided just the right amount of information, and he answered all our questions. We sampled some delicious street food. I would thoroughly recommend Archit and this tour company.
Wow! This tour was truly a real Jaipur experience. Our guide, Archie, navigated the streets and alleys with ease and showed us amazing views from the roofs tops to the streets from day to night. We had hands-on experiences with a local family who opened their home with warmth and kindness and showed us the art of block printing. We tried local snacks at stalls. We would highly recommend this tour to see the real Jaipur!
A “must do” event in Jaipur. Archi the guide was very professional knowledgeable and passionate about his hometown. He showed unexpected views of the walled city; rooftops and alleyways. We got an insiders view beyond the city walls. On top of that he organized hands on activities with local artisans which made it an enjoyable and educational experience. He generously gifted us some locally crafted items and gave us a taste of some of the best local Jaipur delicacies.
This is a really wonderful tour! You will do a lot of fun things and visit many unusual places that you would never do on your own. But don't eat too much beforehand, or you will not have room for all the samples. Our guides Archie and Naween were great.
