Hands-on Block Printing Workshop

Lovely experience! The staff were attentive, patient and welcoming. A fun activity and definitely worth trying!

It was a very uniquely creative experience and we learned a lot. Mohit and team went above and beyond to help us create beautiful block printing pieces.

Absolutely brilliant couple of hours learning how to block print scarves. Really lovely relaxed atmosphere. So many patterns to choose from and it was surprisingly easy to pick up once you got going! A lovely respite away from the usual madness of Jaipur!

This was a fun experience where you can release your creativity if you have a lot or very little, it doesn't matter.

It was a nice experience. Kunj ji was very kind to explain everything also Mohitji. As an Indian it should it be a must to learn more about block printing and the culture of Jaipur. Even as a foreigner it is something unique and enriching. Kudos to the team to do their part in preserving this tradition with a fun experience.

We had a wonderful time! The guides were so friendly and helpful - even when we were very slow! It’s a little tricky to find but go through the blue gates on the left of the alley and up the stairs and you will find the lovely creatis workshop Fab to bring home something hand made too! Thank you!!

Great hands on experience that was a relaxing change of pace from Jaipur. Everything was clear and the staff were very helpful. I would choose a more complex design so you can have more hands on experience!

We had such a brilliant time at this workshop. Aftab and Kunj were incredible and so patient with us. We ended up staying for 2.5 hours because we were a little slow but everyone was so lovely with us the whole time and we had an amazing experience. Amazing experience - Mohit runs a fantastic workshop. Kunj and Aftab were wonderfully helpful and supportive. A lovely way to spend an afternoon- we chose complicated designs which took slightly longer to complete, but the pay off was worth it. Would 100% recommend to anyone who wants to do a creative workshop without loads of faff involved!

We had a great time making our placemats with Creatis. We were able to choose from lots of different designs and experiment with different colours on a practice version so we could make the best choice! Aftab was a great teacher and was patient when we were finding it difficult.

I took this class because block printing a scarf sounded like fun. I am so glad I took the class. The instructors were very kind and patient. There is a bit of a learning curve, but you can choose how much of a challenge you would like. There are easier block printing motifs, and there are more difficult motifs that have more colors so you build up the print using more colors and more blocks. I have a scarf that I will treasure because it will remind me of my trip to India. I also learned a new craft. I would have liked to buy a kit to take home - they are all beautiful, but I travel with a 20L backpack and just don’t have the room. The workroom is so interesting. Glad I went. A very good value.

Our family of 4 (two boys ages 12 and 15) had a great time at Creatis! We each made a set of beautiful placemats and it was so fun to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city and do something creative and relaxing. We all loved it! Can’t wait to take our placemats home and put them on our table to remember our time in India.

I thoroughly enjoyed this workshop. The class gave me a great insight into the art of block printing and a greater understanding of the craftsmanship involved. I now have a beautiful scarf as a souvenir to take home. Highly recommend even if you don’t consider yourself crafty

Had so much fun at the color block workshop making my scarf! Purposely planed it for the beginning of my visit so I could use the scarf to vist temples. Kunj was a great instructor— very patient! 100% recommend!

We had a really great time learning the craft of blockprinting with Mohit and the rest of the staff at Creatis. They had so many different designs and colours to choose from and they were so helpful throughout the whole process.

Very fun experience, they had a variety of prints to choose from and the small group setting was great. I picked a more complicated design so it took 3 hours plus they have a little boutique to shop from

So fun picking patterns and colors. I picked a more advanced design, so it’s not perfect, but I love it…a lot pre intricate pattern options and more color choices than other classes I looked at online. Lots of hands-on assistance made things a lot easier! Highly recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed this experience. I have been going to Jaipur for years and so glad I finally got around to trying my hand at block printing. The studio is lovely and has a lot of designs for inspiration. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I was amazed at what I created and would love to do more classes in future building on what I learned.

This hands-on block printing workshop in Jaipur was a wonderful experience. We were warmly welcomed and guided through the traditional process step by step, learning both the technique and the history behind this beautiful craft. The instructors were patient, knowledgeable, and made the experience enjoyable even for beginners. Creating our own pieces by hand and taking them home made it especially meaningful. A truly authentic and memorable cultural experience. highly recommended if you’re visiting Jaipur!

We had such a great experience doing block printing for the first time! It was great to learn more about the art that you see everywhere in India and get stuck into it! I would highly recommend this class! The class was informative and fun to learn a new skill. This day I got very ill, completely unrelated to the class, the entire staff was extremely nice, helpful and accommodating. I truly appreciated all of their assistance and care!

Very helpful teachers, and Mohit was happy to answer any and all questions. Tricky but very interesting! Were not rushed at all and got all fabric finished properly!
