The Guide was more than wonderful and showed us around all day. Felt incredibly safe the whole entire time and was able to be emerged into the beautiful culture. Would totally recommend as two female 20 year olds.

Amar Ali was the local Jaipur guide as part of our Golden Triangle tour. He was very knowledgeable about the various important sites. But what elevated his status for us was his consideration. There were several times during the day that he provided us with water, sodas and even a tuk tuk when traffic made it impossible to reconnect with our tour vehicle. All without hesitation or being requested. He showed a level of kindness that we hadn't seen many times prior in our extensive travels. While he was an "included" part of our larger tour itinerary, I highly recommend him if you are looking for a local guide in Jaipur. There are so many facts, details and stories that we would have missed if we tried to navigate these sites on our own. There are many, many guides to choose from. Amar Ali is one of the very best. Thank you for taking such good care of us in Jaipur.

I had a wonderful experience with my tour guide in Jaipur! He was very friendly, kind, and knowledgeable about the city, its history, and culture. He even let me try the local ice cream, which was such a nice touch! He showed me a beautiful spot to view Hawa Mahal. He also took some really nice pictures of me, so I could capture and remember the experience. As a solo traveler, feeling safe is very important to me, and I felt safe and comfortable throughout the entire tour. He went above and beyond to make the tour enjoyable, memorable, and special. Ali was knowledgeable and friendly. He answered all of our questions and customized the tour to meet our needs! He showed us shops and a great place to stop for lunch. He kept us well hydrated and knew all of the less crowded parts of the tourist attractions.

When you start getting used to India you find that everyone is trying to sell you something so it's so pleasant to find someone like Ali, who just provides a great service without all the extra selling. Ali took us to all the main sites, was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, happy to change plans based on requests and just generally easy to be with. We had a great trip to Jaipur in great part thanks to Ali. He gave us an efficient tour around the main sights--which mind you is no small feat in a busy and crowded place like Jaipur. With every stop he gave us historical and cultural context to deepen our understanding of each site and of Jaipur in general. He also punctuated the tour with various stops at different places featuring the best version of a particular type of food--lassi, chai, samosa chaat, jalebi, kachori and the like. He also left some time in our day-long tour to accommodate our interest, which in our case was block printed fabrics. As a person, Ali is convivial, open-minded, accommodating while also straightforward. I wholeheartedly recommend him if you're ever looking for guide in Jaipur. -- Charlie C.

Ali was amazing - so informative and as he has lived here all his life he knows his way around Jaipur and the people working and living there. He took us to all the usual tourist places but to other calmer places which we really enjoyed. A compassionate individual who was a pleasure to spend time with. He also speaks extremely good English. Ali was an excellent tour guide. He took care of all the details, even picking us up at the train station the night before our tour to take us to our hotel when he learned we were arriving by train. He was on time, calm, and reassuring throughout the experience. In addition to knowing his way around everywhere smoothly, he was responsive to our requests for extra stops, and never pressured us. He also knew how to save time, avoid lines, and get good value. He was knowledgeable and engaging, and very good humored and kind-hearted. In addition to the sites he showed is, he also knew the best places to stop and eat. So, unexpectedly, this was an outstanding food tour as well. We absolutely loved the food at every place he took us. He also knew special places to get an excellent view of many of the sites. Finally, he was an excellent photographer, and knew all the special places to get good photos, several of which we would have missed. We definitely recommend him without any reservations. We felt that we were able to do everything we wanted to during this tour, see important cultural sites, and buy all the things we needed to.
