The first hour of the tour was a ride up the Aravalli Mountain to go to a restaurant with a view of the illuminated Nahargarh Fort. The view was nice, but there was lots of traffic on the way up and it was very cold on the Jeep as the seats are elevated, a blanket would have been nice. Not sure this first part of the tour was worth it for a ten minute stop to be honest. The second part was in the city of Jaipur itself and was a lot of fun, as we had unobstructed view over everything. The driver and the guide were both very nice and we felt safe. Overall a very pleasant tour!

Itinerary
Travellers will go on a open gypsy or open vehcile to see the spectacular Amber Fort. The guests can take the 50 minute Light and Sound show in Amber Fort within the premises which will take you to a journey of 600years and kings of Kachhawa Dynasty.
The special attraction here is the open air vehicle cruising through the Aravalli Mountain Range. It offers a spectacular view of all sides of the City and Sunset. The best time to visit is in the evening, watch the sunset and then hang out around to catch the visual treat that is the city skyline & look upon Jaipur from the highest place in town Known a “Padao” when Jaipur city starts to lit up.
Jal Mahal or the Water Palace is a treat to the eye in the night. Driving along the roadside of the lake is a splendid experience when the lights twinkling inside the palace are reflected on the shimmering water.
Hawa Mahal or the “Place of Winds” was built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799. The Palace has 953 small windows called jharokhas decorated with intricate latticework. The Jharokha’s were designed to allow royal ladies to observe festivals on the streets without being seen. In Night The Hawa Mahal is closed but The Palace of winds with its 953 small windows offers ample opportunities to click excellent pictures of the gorgeous building from the outside.
The well decorated Museum in the heart of the city with its changing colors gives it a crowned Jewel Look.

This was an amazing experience that was topped off by stop at the restaurant at the fort with live music and the city below lit like jewels visible through the fort walls. Magnificent!!
It was fun riding around in the open air jeep. One needs to have a certain amount of agility to get in/out of the vehicle. The guide treated me to some regional treats during the ride. I enjoyed seeing the city all lit up.
Exploring Jaipur at night was a wonderful experience. The lights on the monuments made the city look stunning, perfect for a peaceful walk or an enjoyable evening with friends.
Seeing Jaipur by night I highly recommend because the city is beautifully lit up and the open air jeep allowed great visibility. Our driver did a great job taking photos for us. Here are some notes about our experience. This was not an informative tour. The driver could point out the name of the palace but did not provide information. It was chilly! Dress warm if you are going in the winter months. Going up the switchbacks to get to Nahagarah Fort was particularly cold. The restaurant was outside and breezy so extra chilly. Driving around India is a very different experience than the states where we teach defensive driving. The driving was aggressive, and we did end up in a minor incident. No police reports were filed (It's India) but we believe the motorcyclist wanted validation that the driver was in the wrong. We booked our tour day of and were grateful we could make it happen. Our tour started at 6pm meaning there is no way you are going to get a sunset view from the mountains. Summer sure but not if you are doing this in the Fall or Winter. You will get a pretty night scene from the mountains. Traffic from our hotel (Marriott) was bad. We did not go to Amber Fort and it wasn't mentioned at all during the drive. Our tour included driving around the Pink City, picture opportunities by Jal Mahal, Albert Hall Museum, Hawa Mahal, and driving up the mountain range to Nahagarah fort with the restaurant. It was an adventure. We enjoyed the sites we did see but the driving and cold was exhausting. I think the driver should have stated upfront what we would and would not being seeing.
The views from Nagaragh Fort were amazing and 100% worth seeing, but thw tour didn't take us to the Amber Palace light show as promised and picked us up after sunset so we also missed that. The driving was alao quite scary at some points on the mounttain cruise with some hairy overtaking. It was a fun tour but not sure its worth the money given the parts that were missing.
This tour was quite the adventure! Riding through the city in a safari car with traffic and cows made for quite the unique experience. The fort is a lovely place for food and drinks with time to sit back and enjoy. All the places we stopped at were beautifully lit, in particular Albert Hall. A special compliment for this tour is owed to our driver, Sourabh. Not only did he navigate the difficult driving with ease, but he also knew the tricks to take excellent pictures on his phone that he shared with us.
Amazing night tour. Rohit took us to all the must see spots including the light/sound show at Amber fort. The open jeep tour is a lot of fun for sure!
This is the best safari experience in Jalana, I’ve been coming here since three years and have been booking through world of wilders. They are perfect in their work and are bound to their commitment.
Had a wonderful sightings. Thankyou World of Wilders for professional approach and managing all the nitty gritty of the safari and local sight seeing travel in jaipur at such a last moment. Book with these safari brothers for a WoW Experience!
It was a wonderful experience to see the monuments in Jaipur at night well-lit. The ride in the open safari was an experience of its kind. The icing on the cake was the final visit to Nahargarh Fort which gave an exquisite view of Jaipur city at night. We had a knowledgeable guide, Swapnil, and a good driver, Rohit. If you are in Jaipur only for a few days then this is something that you must try.
Driver and tour guide spoke no English. Pick up was late and only saw half the things on itinerary. Complained to the vague WhatsApp number that confirmed pick up time, no response. I got full refund because this was a scam. We were two single female travelers and one part of the tour we were in night time going up into a mountain jungle and it was very dark for about 45 mins. Nobody explain what is happening. We felt so scared. When we asked where are we going they did not answer. Be aware!!! Believe the other reviews that speak the truth!
First, I want to highlight that we are 2 women visiting India for the first time, and only speak English. Our main priority when looking for tours is safety. This tour is amazing and more importantly, safe! We were picked up in an open air vehicle as this company also does safari tours. It is the best vehicle for this tour as you can really see everything - Jaipur is a whole other city at night so you would want the best views! Since it is an open air vehicle please be prepared to bring warm clothes toward the end of the year. The tour did get a bit chilly. Our driver, Anil, navigated the streets of Jaipur like no other. If you have yet to experience driving in India, it is a stressful yet beautiful ecosystem where there are no rules, and Anil drove like a champion of the India driving super sport. You would want a good driver considering you are in an open vehicle where one can fall out. The tour started with a light and sound show at Amber Fort - this part is optional but I recommend it as the show goes over Jaipur history. Then we went up the mountain for an amazing view of the entire city - here you can order food, drinks, or just sit and look out at the views. Anil and Rohit also made impromptu stops to buy popular Indian snacks for us to try! The drive continued around the Water Palace, Albert Hall, Wind Palace, etc. where we were able to stop and see the sites and take photos without getting out of the car and fighting through crowds! Definitely recommend this tour as Jaipur is beautiful at night! And what better way to see it than in an open safari vehicle! Please see our photos attached here for reference.
I booked this experience through TripAdvisor/Viator, although it is operated locally by an outfit called Jhalana Panther Safari. It was a disappointing experience, quite different to what is described in the itinerary. The itinerary gives you the impression that you will be picked up between 6pm and 7pm and get to Amber fort by 7.30pm as the first stop, in time for the English sound & light show; and then go on to see Nahargarh fort, finishing with photo stops at Jal Mahal and Albert Hall Museum. The itinerary also gives you the impression that you will have an English-speaking guide providing information throughout. The reality was a pickup at 7.15pm from our North Jaipur hotel, by a driver Rohit who only spoke Hindi, who proceeded to tear through rush hour Jaipur traffic yelling information in Hindi over his shoulder at us in the back of the open-top jeep. Stopping first at the Albert Hall Museum for photos, he then drove us directly to Nahargarh Fort -- too late to see the sunset, but conveniently in time for dinner at the restaurant at the top (which I was not interested in!) The English speaking guide Lokesh joined only for the drive up to Nahargarh through the Aravalli Hills, and for the subsequent stop at Jal Mahal, and provided hardly any information. When I complained about missing out the Amber Fort experience we got driven there, but obviously too late for the show, everything dark. The manager at Jhalana Panther Safari (aka World of Wilders?) claimed that I should have said I wanted to see this show, as it needs to be booked in advance, but I know this is not true as I managed to see it the next day by myself, by just turning up at the right time and buying a ticket. These guys seemed more interested in Panther spotting and in getting an elephant to pose with us, rather than in following the promised itinerary. I am surprised TripAdvisor / Viator are promoting this company for this tour. I suspect their wildlife tours are better, but that's not what I booked. The open top jeep ride in the hills was fun, just be prepared for insects in the face!
It was really amazing , spotted 8 leopard in 2 hrs , really everyone should visit , all the safari lovers should visit ...
Amazing place and more amazing leopard and hyena sightings. It took me 3minutes to enter the park and another 20minutes to spot a leopard nicely chilling on tree. Thanks to Jhalana Panther Safari team for booking my permit on last minute via email. A great wildlife adventure added to my diaries....which I will never forget. Thanks to Ganesh my guide.
Kunal and Rohit are insanely good! And not because of what they ultimately showed us but for the enthusiasm right from the get go! Prompt, proactive and super knowledgeable, both brothers came on separate safaris with us and ensured we had a terrific time. Thank you duo for the exceptional experience.
Saw two hyenas together and one leopard in green canopy. Had an amazing time at jhalana. I took three safaris and saw 4hyenas and 6leopards. One of my finest leopard sightings. Thanks wow team for very well organising my stay, safaris and jaipur sight seeing. Will come back again in November.
I did my Safari with the best photographers and with guide Kunal which was refreshing, interactive and one amongst the best travel experiences of my tour. They were very passionate, crazy wildlife photographers who do this safari just to capture very few moments in a jungle. Thanks to Kunal for taking me to this safari with them. Would recommend anyone around Jaipur to experience it at least once
We enjoyed a lot during leopard safari. Fun and knowledgeable experience.the guides were helpful and interactive.
Went with my family. Superb place. As soon as we entered we were greeted by the Worldof Wilders team. Our gypsy was ready and re sanitized again in front of us. Then we visited the interpretation centre to my view the best I had ever seen in Indian wildlife parks so far. As soon as we started our journey...we saw a huge monitor lizard chasing another smaller monitor lizard...just next to the starting area. As soon as we moved in zone II we saw many colorful birds and finally after an hour of search we saw our first leopard nicely sitting on a rock on a hill top like the king. Now we moved to Zone I and surprisingly saw a huge Male leopard right on road marking his territory walking on the road and looking at us back and forth....finally after 10minutes it dissapeared into the bushes. But that close encounter would always be a thrilling memory. Thanks to the driver and guide duo who stopped the vehicle one squirrel alarm call and made us see the rosette cat the Leopard. Highly recommend booking with world of Wilders because of good hospitality, ease in communications and trained staff. Thanks for the memorable experience
They are best operator at jhalana leopard safari. Shri Kunal is Very gentle and knowledgable person. He take us to almost every corner of Reserve area and finally we saw 2 leopards together. He put every possible efforts to make it happen. I will choose again them if needed. This safari is located at heart of jaipur city (4 km from International Airport and 14 km from jaipur railway station) and charges are also very reasonable.
We went for the leopard safari on 29 July, the experience was very amazing,it rained very heavily during the safari, but this didn't affect us seeing the leopard, it was an amazing experience all together!!
Nice experience. Awesome place. Must visit. Very delighted after visiting the place. Got to see 2 leopards and 1 hyena.
We had an awesome experience in the Jhalana Safari. We came to see lots of different types of animals.I was so delighted to see the leopards. It was worth seeing the Safari.
The safari was funfilled. We had an amazing time amidst the jungle of Jhalana. The driver was really efficient. He made a lot of effort to make us see the leopard whether at a far or a nearby point. But spotting a leopard is really a matter of luck. U need to have a good camera or good binoculars along with keen eyes.
We took three safaris in Jhalana and had wonderful sightings of Leopards, Hyenas and lots of birds.Kunal was very helpful and took very good care of us. I would recommend him highly.
We planned this safari through world of Wilders. This is a very small sanctuary in Jaipur. We have done multiple safari previously. They have to be booked well in advance and come at a high price. Considering this world of Wilders were able to provide us a booking just 2 days in advance and the price was pretty reasonable. The vehicle provided was on sharing basis with another family. The tour guides were well connected to check for leopard sightings. It was a nice 3 hour free zone safari at the end of which we managed to see a leopard nestled on a tree with the hyena at the bottom. It is one of the rare sightings that we got to experience. Best part was one of the memebers of the world of Wilders group was also available on the safari unlike most groups which outsource the booking.
I went on Jhalana leopard safari today and it was great! It was part of a tour of Rajasthan. The driver and guide were enthusiastic, informative and answered all my questions. We were lucky to see a leopard twice. The guide took some amazing photos and also shared them with me. Recommended!
We had a great time in the park Learning about the wildlife in India We saw one leopard and different kind of animals during the ride The guide was very helpful, knowledgeable me and had a good camera, so we were able to get good photos.
It was an amazing experience to visit Jhalana Leopard Safari Park with Jhalana Panther Safari. Kunal from Jhalana Panther Safari World of wilders was very helpful and provided the best of services. He made sure that we see leopard and we also saw hyena (pic below). Very rare unexpected enjoyable experience in Jaipur Really excellent experience with Jhalana Panther Safari World of wilders. Thanks a ton Kunal. Must visit. Recommend strongly with Kunal Jhalana Panther Safari World of wilders.
As usual booking with Kunal on World of Wilders was a pleasure . He takes such good care of his guests. An awesome sighting and equally awesome experience . The extension tour was added to the original safari.
I booked this experience for my first evening in India and it was a great intro. My drivers were very sweet and kind. I was there in December and it wasn’t chilly, it was cold in an open jeep. Come prepared! The boys helped me buy a blanket & we were in our way to the hill top to eat thali, looking over the city.
We did an evening safari trip at Jhalana on 2nd November with World of Wilders and had the opportunity to interact with Kunal. A very professionally and passionately run organization , can't wait to be there again soon with WoW. My bad, I didn't research enough about the park and had only planned for one safari this itinerary, this is a must do place for every aspiring wild cat lover & photographer and is the defacto Leopard territory. The park has got new infrastructure and the best interpretation center I have come across so far. WoW jeeps are well maintained and comfortable. The Park area is also comparatively large with a great habitat though it's in the middle of Jaipur city. We had 2 leopard sightings on the day, they are shy. One was on a tree for a while and Kunal's experience guaranteed that we had a sighting on our first visit. Another one was a young adult on the middle of the road , took off when it saw our Jeep approaching. We had a great time and of all the Tiger safari's I have taken to date, the Wow team has to be the most passionate. It's a great initiative by them to put Jhalana's Leopard safari on the map.
Kunal (our guide ) was too good. We were almost at the verge of leaving the jungle disappointed cause we could sight any leopard. But finally towards the end, he had a great judgement. Tracking by the squirrels call he rushed to a certain place where v could spot the leopard . Besides he also had a great knowledge of birds and other species of animals at jungle. Thankyou kunalji for the great experience!!!!!
On the spur of the moment we booked the evening leopard safari at the Jhalana nature reserve. It was fantastic. We booked a vehicle to ourselves with a brilliant guide (Rohit?). Saw do many different types or birds plus monkeys, reptiles, deer etc And the piece de resistance, a female leopard as it was getting dark. Thank you "Wilders", we'll be back for the dawn safari next week.
Had a wonderful time at Jhalana safari. saw two leopards on a mountain. Amazing place in the centre of the city!
It's wonderful knowing that this beautiful and protected environment exists and just outside (or inside) Jaipur. I took a yoga group there and we had the best time feeling the fresh air and searching for leopards. We saw TWO! It was exhilarating and fascinating and I highly recommend it!
Jhalana leopard Safari is a hidden gem and if you're a wildlife enthusiastic you must do the Safari ! Jhalana has one of the highest density of leopards in that area. Apart of leopards you can spot hyenas , jackal and lot of birds. Kunal was very prompt with his replies from our first conversation. From arranging our safari bookings to pick up from the hotel . Rohit guided us on both the Safari's ànd shared his wildlife knowledge. We were stunned when he spotted a leopard hidden behind the bushes when there was no alarm call as well ! We absolutely loved the Safari experience - spotted two leopards, hyena and lots of birds ! It is good experience for kids as well to learn about wildlife and natural flora. The pics are courtesy Nikhil who's a greater photographer as well ! The thrill of spotting the elusive leopards in the wild!! Thank you team for making our trip memorable
Had a wonderful time at Jhalana with team Mr. Kunal his team of guides and drivers.....during my safari I realized the importance of the right knowledgeable person is important as leopards are very intelligent and go unnoticed if you do not have the right people with you who can spot one and if not spot one can hear the leopard out well through other animals sounds or they say Alarm Calls.....we searched throughout the jungle and finally 40minutes prior to the safari we heard the first peahen call.....we were the only ones to wait there and finally after 10minutes of compllete silence we spotted this rossets beauty named TimTim for a splendid 7minute walk. Would like to inform leopards are tough to spot as compared to tigers.....but this park holds a good value if you wish to see the most elusive, shy and stealth predator in the world - The Leopard. Thanks World of Wilders for managing everything from swift email replies, to hotel pickups and drops, water juices and most important the Leopard spotting. Highly appreciated
Light and Sound show was cancelled as we turned up too late. Having a beer at the hilltop restaurant with the dancers overlooking the city was nice. Drove by a street performance which was just ending due to festival time
Had booked 4 safaris through Worldofwilders. Got to see a leopard in 2 out 4 safaris while other 2 were nice birding experiences. Since this is the post monsoon period sightings are few and subtle, and not always out in the open. This is exactly what I enjoy and so I had a good time. Also, since monsoon is the time for breeding of birds like the peacock so I got to see a lot of their young ones which I never seen before. All in all, a nice place to visit in this season provided you plan for atleast 4 safaris on the trot. Thanks worldofwilders (Rohit, Kunal, Lakhan, Sanjay) for the great experience from the bookings to punctual pick ups to great guides. Look forward to a summer experience of Jhalana with you all.
What an awesome experience, at a place I least expected. Jhalana Panther Safari turned out to be less than 10min away by car from our hotel, Clarke Amer. Its a beautiful lush green jungle right inside Jaipur. I haven't seen such an accessible nature park. We did three safaris over two days through World of Wilders and sighted at least a dozen varieties of birds, neel gaay, deers and of course, leopards. With over 40 leopards in this small, 21 Sq Km jungle, Jhalana I believe has most dense population of this cat, which means best chances for spotting one, even if someone does one or two safaris. The timing of each safari we felt to be shorter than other jungles we have visited. Evening safari started quite late, at 4pm and before it ended at 6:45pm, it was already quite dark. But we had better sightings in the evening safaris. Our recommendation however would be to do at least three to four across morning and evenings. Jungle itself was beautiful and offered very different experience at different parts of the day. Rohit, through whom we had booked it all, is phenomenal. He personally took charge of everything from permits, vehicles, pick-up etc. I was amazed and super impressed by his insights on the behavior of animals, especially leopards in the wild. Very well spoken, he filled us on every element of the jungle and could identify each of the birds/ animals we saw. He anticipated the moves and we ended up sighting possibly two different leopards, on three occasions! The driver was also super experienced and the way they interpreted the 'calls' made us swiftly move from one area to another, catching the cats on the move. According to me, Jhalana is a MUST visit for anyone half interested in exploring the Pink City well. And yes, don't forget to dress comfortably and carry caps/ shades, camera and good tele lens.
I had an excellent experience at the Jalhana forest reserve. The safari was organised by World of Wilders. They were very professional and helped me out with all my requests. Guides Lakhan and Ganesh were excellent and knowledgeable. They tried their best to show us the maximum the forest could offer. They know the place well and we got lucky to sight a large male leopard twice !! We saw lots of peackocks , blue bulls , deer, langoor and more than 15 varieties of beautiful birds. The safari was totally worth it !!
We did the 5:45am leopard experience. It was amazing! We saw one leopard, lots of monkeys and deer, peacocks, and more. Rohit was a phenomenal tour guide and spoke great English, and is very knowledgeable. I would definitely do this again if i am in the area and would hopefully see more leopards!- Note: bring bug spray. Bring a scarf / facemask to cover your mouth. Bring a sweater or jacket (it gets cold in the morning, and that was in August!). Bring camera!! And maybe binoculars if you have them. Thank you for the wonderful time!!!
Visited the Park on a rainy day as my permis were done in avance. But as soon as i entered the worry for rains took à back seat. Our guide explaining us about the Park and animals was informative and knowledgeable. Finally the search for léopard started from a frantic indian peafowl calling a danger alarm. We waited for an hour and finally our wait rewarded us with à léopard cruising its way out of thick foliage. A moment worth taking back home. A special thanks To world of Wilder team....for all safari management from swift email replies, ease in hotel pick and drop, guided tour.....really had à WOW time....highly recommence these guys for clarity and hospitality. Léopards of Jhalana....thank you
Kunal organized a safari for four of us when we had contacted him at the last minute. He coordinated everything very well and the Safari was simply great - in a very well maintained natural park. We spotted one leopard and just missed one as it had passed by a spot minutes before we arrived. I would especially like to thank Kunal for his kindness as he took the effort to fetch me a book I left in the Jeep and delivered it to the railway station as I was leaving the city. Absolutely humbled by his niceness. Would highly recommend WOW for the Jhalna leopard Safari.
We went with an amazing guide who was really knowledgeable, we had to listen to the jungle, and finally, we saw a lepord among other beautiful birds and animals :)
We had a wonderful time in the Safari, with a very knowledgeable guide, and truly amazing landscapes... very reccomended!!!
It is true that u can see leopards in jhalana protected area. If u r lucky u can see them roaming on streets in night! This is a perfect place to see Leopards!
