Excellent tour, well done once picked up. The communication before was not great. I was not given options until I asked. Once confirmation was made I was not given a description of the vehicle picking me up. Both would have made it better. But everything else was top notch. Thank you

Trip was great. The bus seats could be a little more comfortable.
Loved seeing Troy but next time would book 2 day trip as one day departed hotel at 5:50 am and returned at 10 pm the same day tour. Great explanation of Troy site with 9 layers of settlement over the centuries by “Sam” . Appreciated the drivers’ efforts to collect and return us all safely and as efficiently as possible. A comfort stop is provided mid way on trip to and from Troy from Istanbul which was also greatly appreciated. Shell gas station with restrooms and market was a convenient and clean facility with a good selection of snacks and beverages.
It’s about 4hrs journey to Troy. They picked us at the hotel in the morning. We took a ferry at Çanakkale for 25 minutes and ended up at the site. Our tour guide was Sunday. She was really impressive with the history and facts., We were lucky to have her as our guide. We enjoyed the time thoroughly.
We had a wonderful tour. Although the tour is long, we had plenty of opportunity to take rests. The tour guide did a very good job explaining all the history around the area and gave us a tour in the historical sites and museums.
Troy is a must-see when in Turkey and this trip includes all the important landmarks: the site, the museum, çanakkale’s horse, and also a ferry!
SARHAT was just a total show off and brilliant in doing his job. He connects well with his clients and very professional. A must tour if visiting Istanbul.
Serhat was absolutely a diamond. His knowledge and customer service skills was beyond compare. His so proud sharing the history of relics of Troy. A must tour if visiting Istanbul.
Lovely drive, guides and staff were very well versed in English and made the tour fun and interactive. Lunch was very nice. It was a long day but we'll worth it, Troy is an amazing and beautiful place. Highly recommend this company.
That was an amazing trip! We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Serhat was very knowledgeable, funny, relaxed and made everyone feel at ease. Would definitely recommend this for any travellers. - Mr. Troy
This was such a brilliant trip. Visiting Troy has been on my bucket list for years, and our guide Serhat really helped to make the experience. He was very knowledgeable, talked us through the archaelogical finds in detail and was happy to chat history and theories with this massive history and classics nerd :) Everything was organised smoothly - collection from the hotel, the trip down to Canakkale, lunch, the ferry ride across the Hellespoint/Dardanelles Strait, and the final 20 mile drive to Troy. We stopped at services both outgoing and return, so we had chance to get coffee. Massive shout out to our driver too, who dealt with awful traffic!
It was a great tour, not only informative but well organized. The tour guide was excellent, knowledgeable and with a great sense of humor! It is a long day, so unless you like burning the candle at both ends, recommend keeping the next morning free.
Everything went as planned. Everyone involved was wonderful and pleasant. Our tour guide at Troy was super friendly and most importantly knowledgeable
It was a great trip for the entire day. The ride to there and back was pleasant and the group size was small so we could all hear the tour guide. The tour guide was amazing and we learned about about the city itself and how it grew from a settlement to a major city-state. I definitely recommend this tour to people
My trip to Troy was a memorable experience. The tour operator was professional, well-organized, and made the entire trip to Troy enjoyable. The itinerary was well planned, with enough time to explore the site without feeling rushed. Overall, I was very satisfied with the service and would recommend this tour operator to anyone planning a visit to Troy.
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this full day trip to Troy. While it was a long day (we were gone for about 15 hours), it was a great way to get to see the ruins of the legendary city while still being based in Istanbul. While there were some hiccups at the beginning of the tour and some long waits while picking up the other tour group members, overall, once you get to the site it is worth the wait. The tour guide for the site is extremely informative, helpful, and will make the history of the site come alive.
Serhat was our amazing tour guide! Very knowledgeable, with a great sense of humor - he made sure to make this a memorable experience for all of us! Can't thank him enough for the fantastic tour he gave us!
A truly wonderful, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Serhat was a very knowledgeable guide, giving a perfect mix of history and legends about the site and the Trojan War.
Had an incredible Troy tour with Hasan! His storytelling really stood out, blending history, mythology, and archaeology in a way that made the site come alive. The long journey was absolutely worth it, and the ferry ride added a fun touch along the way. Everything was seamless from start to finish, from the early hotel pickup to all the transfers and the drop-off at the end of the day. It is a full-day experience, I was picked up at 6am and returned around 9:30pm, with a well-paced itinerary that included lunch in Eceabat and a few hours exploring Troy itself. Highly recommend booking this tour instead of going on your own, Hasan’s expert guidance truly elevates the whole experience.
As a mythology and history fan this tour was a great experience. Walking around Troy and listening to the guide was unlike anything else I did in Istanbul.
I took my Dad on the guided tour of Troy yesterday and we both had the most amazing time. The journey there from Istanbul was long but well worth it. The mini buses they had us on were all very comfortable and air conditioned. The various members of staff we met along the way were all helpful and friendly people. The tour guide at Troy was very knowledgeable and seened genuinely passionate about the history of the region which made the entire tour even more enjoyable. Our group was only small so it felt more personal to us than if it was a large coach full of people, it also help keep things moving at a quicker pace meaning we could see more. All together I cannot recommend this tour enough. If you have a passion for history, visiting the ruins at Troy is a must and this tour is the best way to do it for a reasonable price.
We had such a good time! It was so nice not having to worry about transfers, lunch, or the tour. The company handled everything! We just showed up, relaxed, and had fun. Our tour guide (Cindy) was so knowledgeable and sweet! We loved getting to talk with her. She seems like she really loves her job. Everyone we spoke with was so nice and helpful. We’ll definitely be back! Thank you!
The "What to Expect" page doesn't accurately convey the experience of this tour. We did: Single day trip from Istanbul. Positives: Pickup and transport were well-organised and the company was managing multiple groups, going to different places, with no issue. That's harder than it sounds, so they are clearly a well-trained team. Guides were knowledgeable and enthusiastic (not just "running through a script"). They seemed to enjoy their work and actively engaged with the group. All good stuff, no complaints there ✅️ Negatives: The day is LONG. Much longer than the "What to Expect" page implies. From the company's current description, you'd expect about 10 hours total. It's more like 16. We had hotel pickup at 6am, but didn't actually arrive at Troy until 2pm (8 hours!) The time spent on-site was only 90mins. There was no visit to the Troy Museum, which is separate. Some other reviewers seem to have visited the museum, but we didn't get to do this. The visit to the horse at the harbour was about 2mins total, as the guide was rushing to get us on the ferry. We then reconvened at the tour office for transport back to the city. So, be prepared for a MUCH longer day than the What to Expect page implies. Troy itself: You can see the photos, it's quite small and sparse. You follow a single walkway around the hill, with about 6-8 stopping points of note. It's tiny. I'm an ancient history enthusiast and even I was surprised at just how *small* Troy really is, and how limited are the visible ruins. Of course, that's not the company's fault, and our guide did a good job at explaining everything, even for people who don't know much about the site. Just be aware there is very little "wow factor" at Troy. Summary: Again, I don't think the "What to Expect" accurately describes the tour experience here. The day is much, much longer than the description suggests. I wouldn't recommend this as a single day-trip, unless you're happy with 16+ hour day and only 90minutes at Troy itself.
Our guide was amazing. We had some tour mates from Hungary & they don’t understand English at all. The guide was so responsible & he tried to give them all info by Google Translate such they wouldn’t feel excluded
For those interested in Troy and its history, this trip must go on your list of things to do while in Turkey. Yes, it is a very long day, however, well worth it! Our guide Beyza was fantastic and extremely well educated on the history of Troy and the fascinating archeological excavation of it. He provided a knowledgable and insightful journey through the magnificent history and many levels of Troy. Our drivers to and from Troy were very safe and got us there great time. This day trip was well organized with more than adequate amounts of time allotted to breaks, coffee stops, and lunch (which was included in the fee). We thoroughly enjoyed this day trip! It was great! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!
Our day trip to Troy was excellent. Although it’s a long day, the organisation made it feel smooth and relaxed, with thoughtful breaks along the way and a very good lunch. The ferry crossing was beautiful and added a lovely change of pace. The tour of Troy itself was fascinating — rich in history, well explained, and far more atmospheric than we expected. A truly rewarding experience and well worth the journey.
It’s a long trip but very comfortable. Burak the tour guide is very knowledgeable and has insider scoop on ongoing archeological works. We went to the museum as well as we had time. 100% recommended!!
Our experience on this tour was unfortunately very disappointing, particularly given that it was also the most expensive tour we have taken. The drive to Troy, which lasted approximately 4–6 hours each way, was in a van without air conditioning during hot and humid conditions. Only the front windows could open (driver and tour guide windows), which provided minimal to no relief to the people in the back. The rest of the windows could not open. This made the interior very stuffy and the ride was bumpy enough that one passenger felt nauseated and chose to leave the tour early. We also considered doing the same due to how uncomfortable it was, but chose to stick it out to see Troy, a once-in-a-lifetime event for us. The ferry crossing itself was smooth; however, the restrooms onboard had a noticeable odor. Upon arrival in Troy, we were surprised to find that the replica structure differed from what had been advertised. It appeared much simpler than expected. Also, much of the tour focused on the ruins, but our tour guide did not seem fully confident in the information and kept forgetting facts. TL;DR - The journey was long, hot, and uncomfortable. What we saw fell short of what we expected. My husband who was the most excited about going to Troy and is a huge fan of history noted that all of this could have been seen on a YouTube video and it would've been better.
This was a fabulous day. The transportation from Istanbul makes for a long day but we knew that in advance so that’s not a surprise and no problem. The lunch was very nice, the ferry ride to the Asian side of Turkey and to Troy was breathtaking, and then the Troy site was amazing. The tour guide Hasan did a great job explaining the history and archaeology of the site and it was intriguing and fun! Great tour and would recommend it to those interested in history and mythology. Lots of great stories accompanied the walkabout of the site.
This is a good experience. It is a good company, I believe and they try to accommodate your requests. The vehicle was in good condition and lunch (my option was vegetarian) was very nice . But the guide could improve some guiding skills in explaining things a bit more clearly.
We had a great time. The guide, Levent, was excellent, friendly and very knowledgeable.. The trip was very pleasant and perfect for family or friends.
Well organised - from clear communication about pick up times and location to knowledgeable local guide. The drive there and back to Istanbul was comfortable. A truly excellent service and experience !
Learnt a lot while I was there the guide was super helpful. It is a long day so they make sure you stop of on the waY there and back. Very good
Great experience. Tour guide was knowledgeable and informative. Lunch was good from a local restaurant. Going to the museum first was useful for understanding the layout of the ruins.
Stress free experience, guide was very knowledgeable and informative. Definately recommended for anyone who is interested in the history of Troy.
The trip was an absolute dream - from pick up to drop off, it was 100% worth it. I felt safe as a solo woman travelling with their team. The bus for the road trip was comfortable and I was impressed in how well they coordinated details so everyone had a chance to get what they needed and where they needed to go. Would go again!
Excellent tour......drivers on time and courtious. Tour guide in Troy very knowledgeable. Not rushed, time for pics and questions.
It was a very long bus ride, but the transportation was comfy and the scenery along the way was beautiful. Our guide, Lev, was friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and always ready to help. Troy itself is full of fascinating relics and ruins, perfect for history buffs! We even saw two versions of the famous Trojan Horse, one in Çanakkale with a lovely ocean breeze. A memorable day exploring ancient legends come to life.
Very good tour. I love the company and the explanation given.. it was worth the day trip. A jump in my childhood stories about Homer Iliade.
It was an Amazing experience, great value and very helpful and entertaining guide…would definitely recommend going!!!
The entire trip went very smoothly. Although the drive was quite long (it took three hours from Istanbul), the bus was equipped with USB charging ports, so we didn’t have to worry about battery issues at all. Our tour guide was a local, which meant he had extensive knowledge about Troy and gave us a detailed explanation. Also, the lunch was quite good.
Simge was an amazing tour guide for Troy, very knowledgeable and enjoyable. Most people on our tour agree it was better than expected.
It was always my dream to go see Troy. Learn the history and see the devastation of bad archaeological decisions. This tour gave me an experience along with amazing views of the Dardenelles. I was lucky enough to get the vegetarian meal for lunch, which was absolutely great. We had one new tour guide being certified named Sam. He was more than helpful and very pleasant.
Good day trip Prepare for long day , 2/3 of the day is driving back and forth to Istanbul I booked last minute and wanted to see Troy so it worked Cindy is a good tour guide Drivers and staff are excellent with good communication Lunch and breaks were satisfactory
The tour was very good. Cindy, our tour guide was wonderful, very knowledgeable, and presented the material well connecting the history to our modern day to day perspective. Making this material relatable. Our drivers were great. Actually, the whole team/ everyone was professional, courteous, & well-organized. The entire office team members were fantastic ensured proper coordination with the different groups & tours.
It was very informative. All of the tour guides were friendly and knowledgeable. The bus ride was comfortable.
Our guide J was so knowledgeable and you could easily see and feel his passion. He had great energy and the day was long but interesting and fun. I went with my 8 and 10 year old, both enjoyed it very much. This tour includes the ancient site and the museum. Most other tours only include the site, so this one is definitely the one to pick. The bus was very nice, with charging ports at each seat, as was the ferry.
If you are a history enthusiast, this tour is well worth the time. Though many hours are spent in the bus or on the ferry it was relaxing and enjoyable to get out of the city and observe the rolling hills, sunflower fields and seascape! The tour was very informative and the Cindy's approach, pace and knowledge was outstanding!
Most of the time you will be on the bus as it's a very very long drive, and total a couple hours on the sites and the museum. Best if you are interested in its history!
This is a long tour with the drive. Seeing so much of the country was very good. I enjoyed it very much the site visit was interesting and the museum was entertaining as well as enjoyable. Our tour guide did a good job sharing g the history of Troya.
