Topkapi Palace Museum / Topkapı Sarayı More than just an Imperial Residence of Ottoman Sultans, it was the seat of the Supreme Executive and Judiciary Council for almost 400 years long. Topkapi Palace is a great monument of Oriental architecture which resembles the power of the Ottoman Empire.
Visit the harem, ruled by the Queen Mother who wielded domestic and political power. The harem housed hundreds of women and family members as well as hundreds of eunuchs, who performed a wide range of duties. Take a moment to spot the cupboard doors inlaid with mother-of-pearl and tortoiseshell. Walk through the Harem is also the only way to see the very early, exceptionally-crafted Iznik tiles decorated with floral designs and verses from the Quran.

This tour was easy, interesting and well-paced. I joined the 9am option and it was nice to get inside before the crowds got really crazy. Our guide, Cem, was knowledgeable, thoughtful and well-spoken in English. He gets extra points from me because he was funny in a foreign language (which is not easy), knew the best photo ops (and took good photos of us) and he gave a couple of great restaurant recommendations as well. Overall, it was a really enjoyable half-day small-group tour!

The palace was overwhelming in size and scale and quite beautiful!! Our guide Furkan was excellent. Excellent English and takes his role quite seriously. He was extremely informative and quite calm navigating us through the crowds. I would absolutely recommend this tour and Furkan without hesitation!!

Tours app. When you book everything else through via to the meeting point is clearly shown through a Google Maps link. You did not provide that. Idid not get the exact location until after I had wasted an hour looking around for what to do. It’s not a simple task. Just a link to the exact meeting point in the app when the reservation is made. It’s that simple.

Our guide, Batuhan Sert, was amazing. He took us through so many parts of the Harem at Topeki and he explained the areas to us as we went. He also took pictures in key spots. We also added the cistern tour and he was very informative in that area. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour!

We had an amazing experience with Hasan. He is very friendly and showed us as much as possible.
We did not get a guide, what we got was the audio guide the day before as well as the tickets. We did not meet a person to give us the tickets. That was not very clear. the audio quide is the .same as one gets inside the building, it was easier to scan the code rather than try to use the audio guide. I would advise one to get a ticket ahead of time and use your phone to read the bar codes than pay for the audio guide.

Only 14 people in our group. Excellent size.. Ali Cem was our guide. Very knowledgeable, kind and funny. Knew all about the Topaki Palace. Went out of his way to include me in the group. I am 78 year old women with mobility problems. He shortened my tour so I didn’t affect others. Even allowed me to take his arm so I could progress faster. Wonderful interesting experience. I couldn’t recommend it enough.

The tour was amazing. The sites are wonderful, absolutely recommended. The guide was really good! He explained the history of the place, the tour was enjoyable and not rushed! He managed to let us visit some place like the harem and the treasury before they got too crowded. However, the price was quite expensive.

He explained each section of the palace clearly before we explored the different areas, which really helped us understand the history, significance, and stories behind everything we were seeing. Batuhan was also incredibly knowledgeable and patient, taking the time to answer all our questions thoughtfully and thoroughly. The pace of the tour was perfect—not rushed, but never slow—allowing us to fully appreciate each area and absorb all the fascinating information along the way. As an added bonus, Batuhan recommended a wonderful local ceramic shop called Tree Of Life Ceramics, which turned out to be a fantastic recommendation! It was a lovely way to discover something special and local beyond the palace itself. Overall, this was a memorable experience, made all the better by Batuhan’s knowledge, professionalism, and friendly approach. If you’re visiting Topkapi Palace, I highly recommend booking a tour with him. He truly elevated the experience and made our visit all the more enjoyable!

We went on the 3 hour tour of the Topkapi Palace Harem. Both parts our the tour were very good, with the Harem section a 'must-see' part or the tour. Our guide, who's name sounded like 'Gem' (unsure of the spelling of his name), WAS a gem; very knowledgeable, very informative. When in Istanbul you should definitely visit this palace.

Amazing tour of the Topkapi palace and harem. Furkan was an excellent tour guide with detailed knowledge of the palace and its historical context. This is a long tour with a lot to see and experience. The buildings, the clothes, the jewelry, the gardens and so much more. Totally worth it.
You definitely need several hours to explore the whole Palace. Cem was our guide & he was fantastic! So knowledgeable about the whole complex, and the best things to see there. Tailored our experience to meet our needs, and even walked us back to the tram at the end. Definitely a good guide! Highly recommend!
Nice way to see the Palace without becoming overwhelmed. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. He did a great job of avoiding the crowds while showing us the most significant parts of the palace. The tour was 3 hours long and then you can stay longer if you choose.
