Private Princes' Islands Tour

I was on the island with my team for a project, and we had such a great experience. The operator was incredibly helpful throughout our stay, assisting us with all the services on the island and always being there whenever we faced any difficulties. Their support made everything so much easier for us, and without them, we would have faced many challenges. We’re truly grateful for all their help and for making our experience so smooth and enjoyable.

Princes Islands are charming to visit and a nice change from the hustle and bustle of Istanbul. Lunch on the boat was great however there were no actual tour guides on the day. We were just dropped off and given free time to explore on both islands we visited.

The best tour to take if you are going to Prince's Islands. I reached out to them at the last minute for a tour and they were happy to accommodate me. Andrea, my tour guide, is super knowledgeable and one of the most kind people I have come across. They picked me up from my hotel and I met Andrea at the ferry terminal where we got to know each other. Based on my interests, we decided to go to the 4th island which has a lot of uphill hiking and very picturesque. Along the way, Andrea provided insights about the surroundings, including the house where Trotsky spent his years in exile. The hike is beautiful, with wonderful views of the other islands and the Asian side of Istanbul. We hiked up to the Orthodox Church which sits at an elevation of about 500 feet. The hike was steep, but 100% worth it thanks to the conversations I had with Andrea and his knowledge on the surroundings. There is also an option to take an electric bus or bike on the island if you choose to. Andrea also recommended an excellent restaurant right by the sea and we headed back to Istanbul where the same driver dropped me off. He was amazing as well as I requested him to drop me off at Galata Bridge so I could see the sunset. Overall this is perhaps one of the best guided tours I have been on, and in Andrea, I have found a great friend!

We had a good time visiting the island. It was a great walking tour, our guide was pleasant and gave us a good overview of the history and local attractions.

We had an amazing family trip to the Princes’ Islands. Our guide was fantastic—super knowledgeable, not just about the islands but Istanbul as well. The moment we arrived, it felt like we had left the city behind. Calm, peaceful, and full of charm. We visited a beautiful bay and were lucky enough to spot dolphins! The island’s quiet streets, historic homes, and nature made it feel like a world of its own. It was the perfect break from the crowds. Highly recommend this tour—an unforgettable experience!

There are actually 4 islands, make sure you ask which one you are going to because the biggest island is the furthest, 2 hours on a ferry which is not made clear on itinerary. The biggest island is the one with the church and orphanage in the itinerary. So on realising this when we got on the ferry, we opted for going to Island no2, smaller and quieter and is full of cats, if you are a cat lover, its brilliant. Guide gives you cat food too. Lovely walk up the hill to the top of the island has beautiful views. In all honesty it's the perfect spot for a sit down and a picnic lunch. Perhaps Viator should offer this as an alternative to the restaurant we were taken to. The restaurant was nice but it was a fish restaurant and I do not eat fish at all. I was very disappointed that no one even asked about dietary preferences or issues. I do think this is a question that should be asked.

Onur is a great guide. He is from the islands so he knows about them and the history and culture a lot. He was friendly and made the effort to speak good English with us. He took us to 2 beautiful churches and hosted us to a great lunch

Onur was a great guide. Gave us the real feeling of Prince islands. He arranged everything for us. We spend time in two Prince islands, By visiting monastery of Saint George, theological school of halki. We felt like locals. I highly recommend this tour.

We booked our private tour with Onur to visit Chalki and Prigkipos islands. Onur arranged for a private taxi to pick us from the hotel and take us back after the tour. Our taxi driver was professional and polite. We visited all the historical places and had a very detailed tour of both islands. The tour included: 1. Taxi Driver 2. All tickets for public or private sea taxi 3. Lunch Onur was the perfect local guide for this tour. He was friendly but also professional. He adjusted the tour to our needs and places we wanted to visit but he organised this tour perfectly in order to have more than enough time to spend at each island. We highly recommend Onur and we hope next time we will visit to arrange another tour with him.

We have been to Istanbul before and have been to all of the “must see” spots. We wanted to do something different and didn’t want to do a cooking class. I contacted Onur and he was very responsive via email and what’s app. I didn’t realize that we needed to catch the sea taxi on the Asian side. You need to leave yourself one hour each way to get to water taxi because of traffic. The pick up and delivery in a luxury vehicle is included in the price. The sea taxi was private and nice. We went to two islands and the larger island was very touristy. We did take an e bus around the island but didn’t do any hiking. We then took a local ferry to smaller island where we had a lovely fish lunch by the water. It was a relaxing and enjoyable lunch and very reasonably priced. Please be aware that Onur’s English isn’t perfect and sometimes was a bit hard to understand, although we felt that this added to his charm. It was more like having a local for a day, walking and chatting about family, politics, etc than being with a historian which we weren’t looking for. Thank you Onur. We had a fantastic time at the Princess Island tour with Onur, who is extremely polite and considerate person. He is very knowledgeable about the history of the island and the culture of the islands population. We absolutely love the beautiful island and wonderfully preserved wooden buildings that surrounded with gorgeous green trees and plants. We highly recommend the island tour with Onur without any reservations.

Onur was so friendly and full of information! Lots of conversation throughout the entire tour and learned some interesting facts that we never would have known otherwise. We saw some amazing views and got some great photos! Absolutely worthwhile and would 100% recommend to anyone!

Everything was excellent and went smoothly from the start at the hotel to our final destination. Our guide was exceptional, adding depth and enjoyment to our journey. One of the highlights was enjoying a hookah on the island while savoring delicious ice cream sweets. To top it all off, our lunch at the restaurant overlooking the sea was simply perfect. Very personal and really informative. Ege is the owners son and probably one of the best tour guides I have had the pleasure of h going with. Still only a student, his local knowledge of the islands and of Turkish history is remarkable. His quiet, non intrusive nature still gives him the opportunity to ensure you don’t get bored and enjoy the day. Would easily book with them again.

Our tour guide was really accommodating with the times of what we wanted to do and where to go especially as we have two little girls with us. Even got to pick out own pickup and drop off time with our half a day tour. Our guide was full of information about the islands. Pickup was great! On time with everything. Would definitely go again next time we are on holiday in Istanbul.

Onur was a great host. He knew exactly how to cater the tour to my personal preferences. we biked and witness breathtaking views, we ate at a wonderful seafood restaurant, we went to the beach and walked through the cute town center, there was an abundance to do and see but at a leisurely pace that felt like vacation. Amazing tour … recommended. My dad relies on a wheelchair as he is immobile .. he enjoyed the day out too. Kids had fun some nice restaurants but very high priced menu.

Our day was very well-planned by Onur, who’s extremely knowledgeable on the Princes’ Islands history. Buyukada Island is picture perfect, we took so many photos and videos that will make a wonderful memory. We had very tasty lunch and the restaurant owners were wonderful people. The hotel transfers were in a very comfortable Mercedes van and the driver was friendly. All transport times were spot on. We highly recommend Onur and his company.

Our guide, Ege was super informative and helpful. He showed us all the interesting spots at the island and kept us entertained throughout the tour. His father, Onur was very helpful during the booking process. I'd highly recommend to take this tour to explore a whole different side of Istanbul (outskirts), especially with Ege!

A few of us decided to do something a little bit different while in Istanbul. We decided to take a 1/2 day tour of Princes’ Island. From the pick up at our hotel to drop off again in the Old City, the day was great! Onur was a great tour guide - it’s very evident that he loves his home island. He was very flexible with the itinerary and we got to see a lot of the very picturesque island. He was very knowledgeable and nice and we felt very comfortable the entire time. He provided background on the various sites that we saw along the way. We did a ton of walking - which was great since it was a beautiful day. All in all, a great way to spend a few hours outside the hustle and bustle of Istanbul! Thanks to Onur for a great day!

it was a very nice and comfortable tour, we were picked up by private car from our hotel at the agreed time in the morning and our guide was waiting for us at the pier. he himself offered us interesting information about the island that we could not get from any source. we feel lucky to have seen all the beauties of the island. especially in autumn, which is the most beautiful season of the island, we were able to make our tour comfortably because there are no crowds. thank you to the princes tour team for their interest.

I googled for a tour to princess island and I came across princess island tours I read their google reviews and with out hesitation I booked a tour and I wasn’t disappointed everything was on point from pick up to drop off and our guide ege was excellent Thank you princess tour for making our visit to the island memorable .

The weather was not kind to us. It rained throughout the 3 days we were in Istanbul so we decided to change our plans from going to Prince’s island to more local sites around our hotel and to the Grand Bazaar where it is dry. Our tour guide was very accommodating to adapt to our wish.

The concept of this tour is wonderful; however, the logistics of the tour made it just an average experience. Unfortunately, there was a large language barrier with the private guide so communication was very difficult. The guide did accommodate us with a change in timing which worked out good for us. The ferry ride takes about an hour and not two hours. Since we thought two hours is a long time we decided to take a taxi to the Asia side which took one hour and then the ferry which took another 35 minutes. If we stuck to the original plan it would have been cheaper and less time! We told our guide we wanted to take the tour with an electric bike. I thought it was included based on the description of the tour but it looks like I was mistaken. It is difficult to ride a regular bike due to the large hills. Due to the communication difficulty we ended up on an electric bus and toured the island. There were a lot of photo opportunities which was nice and the guide was gracious to take a lot of nice pictures. Once we finished the bus tour then we went back and I got him to get us some electric bikes. The ebike rental shop did not fully charge the bikes so one of them died while doing a second tour. The tour guide did take the bike and rode that heavy bike all the way back to the city center. The rental shop did not offer a partial refund. The place lacked customer service! I recommend that people take the ferry to the island since it is only 10 lira and take a much cheaper tour of the island. It is easy to tour the island since there is one main road around the whole island and you can get on and off the electric bus to view each stop. It is difficult to ride regular bikes due to the hills. If you do get an electric bike make sure it is fully charged. It will only work for about an hour and half before it dies when it is fully charged. Therefore only rent it only for an hour or so. At then end of the day it was a nice place to visit but can be done a lot cheaper! The tour operator was very nice and tried his best to accommodate but there is only so much that can be done with such a big language barrier.

My experience from Ertugrul was so good, Me and my daughter had the best experience at princes island. He speaks English and took us around princes island we did the nature park which has so many photo stands ( I have added photos ) we went to the ancient church, the museum and stopped for lunch. The island is so beautiful and unique. I would definitely recommend going on the tour guide with Ertugrul. Hala from Sydney xxx

This is the best activites for visitting to Princes’ Islands. Our guide was a very kind people and all time enjoyed. He told us every important things in the island. They did pick we up in our hotel with private car. Then we went to island by sea taxi. This opsion was very confortable for us. The way took only fifteen minutes. Then we visited two islands. First we saw Büyükada where it is the most populer island. And we went to second one where Heybeliada. We were very happy in this tour. I want to say thank you for everything🙏🙏🙏

For us it was the first visit to the Prince islands. We bought this tour because we didn't know exactly where to visit. If you want to visit and explore a place for real, you should definitely get information from the local people or local guides there. Otherwise, you can go back without seeing many places you need to see. We discovered many beautiful places with this tour and we had a very enjoyable day. This tour was a very nice experience for me and my family. Planning was amazing. The whole plan took place exactly on time, as discussed. The private vehicle picks you up from where you want, at the time you want, and drops you wherever you want in the same way. We used a water taxi for one way, this is a very nice and special service. I had the opportuny to enjoy an amazing experience sailing all around Buyukada Island on a charming "Vieux Grément" (boat) named Marco Polo. Swimming, relaxing moment, scenic spots, nice lunch and beautiful meetings. Only happiness to be savoured !
