Private Istanbul Byzantine & Ottoman Tour

We had a few hours in Istanbul with 2 ladies with limited mobility. We've been there before so wanted to make the most of the shopping at the Spice Bazaar and have a relaxing cruise on the Bosporus. Ahmet picked us up in his beautiful van and made sure that we did everything we wanted. Remained in contact so we knew exactly where he was when we went shopping. Wonderful day in Istanbul. This was a fantastic 1/2 trip to get to see Istanbul. Our guide was so helpful and we had a great time. My husband has mobility issues so we adapted the tour to see more of the city. Highly recommend if you want to get a good overview of the differing districts of this magical city.

Thanks to our driver Ökmen, we did both airport transfers. We had a nice tour of Istanbul, it was very enjoyable for us. I will come with my family next time.

Ümit was on time for our pickup, and communicated with me prior to the pick up with a picture of him and the location. He was very friendly, spoke good English, and his Mercedes Van was very clean, not a spec of dirt to be found! VERY PLEASED!

The experience with Erol was exceptional. It rained all day. But Erol guided us throughout the day to ensure we still had a good time. We really appreciated his attention to detail and customer service skills.

I had a wonderful experience with Fatih. I let him know what I would like to do and he arranged everything. He was on time but if traffic was heavy he let me know when he would be arriving. This was my first time in Istanbul so I appreciated having someone with me who could guide me around the area. It was well worth it. We had booked Welcome Pickups earlier during our trip to Cairo, Egypt and thus we did the same during our visit to Istanbul. We were picked up right on time by Mr Omer Faruk Soy who was very punctual and courteous. He dropped us at our hotel smoothly. We took the half day (4 hour) Welcome Pickups sightseeing tour with Omer and had a wonderful experience. Omer guided us through the Sultanahmet, the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace. He also took us to the Galata Tower for a very picturesque view of Istanbul. We had the pleasure of having a large number of photos together thanks to him. Our driver Semih was amazing. Very professional. He kept a constant communication with us even before landing in Istanbul. He provided us with great advices on activities to do and places to visit. He set the bar very high for the other drivers !!

Veysel was my driver from the airport on the first leg of my trip. He was excellent, so I requested him again for my transport to and from the airport on my return leg. I also booked a 4-hour tour of Istanbul with him. Veysel was always punctual and even took me to a local restaurant for some good food. I highly recommend Veysel and this company. Everything went smoothly, and his vehicle was clean and spacious.

Full tour of Istanbul European and Asian side. Although no time to visit the bazar. And barely tim to get out of van and see things. The van was fairly high up and it made it very difficult for my 86 year old father to get in and out of van. The driver should have had a step stool. Driver was very knowledgeable. But made it clear he was not a tour guide but a driver. He even took us on a ferry about from the Asian side to to European side.

Used Welcome Pickups for airport transfer to and from our hotel in the Old Town as only specific vehicle licenses are allowed inside the Old Town so renting a car was not an option. Our driver, Kubilay or “Q” for short was amazing, smooth driving, good tips about what to do and where to go, and always on time! Would recommend “Q” and Welcome Pickups to anyone visiting Istanbul.

Our guide picked us up early at our hotel in a six passenger Mercedes. Driver spoke impeccable English and the van was immaculate. We went to a number of places listed as part of this tour but cut it short due to the extreme heat in mid-August 2023. We did go to both the Haggia Sophia and Blue Misques and associated areas. We also visited the Galata Tower. Tickets to these attractions are NOT included in this tour price so be ready to buy them at the door. We additionally went to a hilltop park accessed by a funicular that gave us wonderful views of the Bosporus Straight. Also, women MUST wear a head scarf to enter these mosques so take one or be prepared to buy it with your ticket. The guide was great.

I used Wellcome pickups for all my airport transfers in Istanbul - between both Istanbul and Sabiha airports and hotel. The drivers contacted me in advance through whatsapp, gave me directions for pick up points in the airport. The vehicle was a large van, vey comfortable, and they even waited for me when the flights were delayed. Very responsble and reliable service.

We used this company to pick us up from the airport. The service was impeccable, and on time with clear instructions and photos of who would be picking us up. We would recommend using this company and will also use them in future. Semih was our driver and so kind and polite.

It was a terrible experience because, despite the fact that I informed the company that our flight was delayed, they still refused to give us a refund or credit. Just take the cash with no service.

Cenk Gungordu met us at the Istanbul Airport for transfer to our hotel and, about an hour later, drove us around for the half-day tour. We had specified, in advance, our preferred sites to visit, and Cenk did a superb job taking us to those sites and several other ones as well. While he's not an "officially licensed" tour guide, he knew a great deal about Istanbul and spoke English (and German) very well. Overall, from the Airport pickup to the half day of sightseeing, it was a pleasure for my wife and me to be driven around by Cenk. The fact of our being jet lagged from an overnight flight (ORD -> IST) made Cenk's help most welcome.

Did not speak English and barely communicated. Was neither a guide nor seemed to know much of the city.

We booked a sighting trip with Welcome and the driver ‘Simeh’ made it a fantastic experience. Glad with info he provides and location advises you plus the punctuality.

Way too much and not honest. I was supposed to do only a few hours for an affordable cost but he purposely took so long and charged extra to keep going.
