Private Istanbul Airport (Ist) Transfer To/from City Center

On the trip from airport to hotel, the driver lost no time to remind me within 3 minutes of the journey in the clearest terms the "custom" of tipping, after he checked his phone (held high in his right hand) that I had already paid in full through Viator (hence no money changing hands in the car), emphasising the less than nice weather, the traffic congestion, etc. Because we had all along paid almost everything by credit card, we simply had just a few coins kept for using the toilets. After we alighted at the hotel, I managed to tip the driver with two one Euro coins (hoping we would not need to use the public toilet during our stay). The driver retorted unreservedly that this could not be said to be near any tip. On the return trip to airport from hotel, the car was 10 minutes late (according to the scheduled time), although I had let the "operator" know 60 minutes before the scheduled time that we had already returned to hotel, and at the driver's convenience we could leave anytime that would suit him. The two cars were pretty spacious and fancy, though. But the way the two drivers drove (probably true to the local style) was probably not one that would make the passengers feel very safe.

Time to get to loading passengers and luggage somewhat lengthy, but once underway, van was comfortable and trip was smooth and uneventful.

60usd for the ride. Company had good communication prior to arrival via WhatsApp. They were easy to find with signage just outside of Exit 13. Maybe waited 15 min for our driver to be coordinated, which really isn’t bad with how busy the airport is. For reference, it took 1hr 10min for the ride from IST to our accommodation is Sultanahmet on a Sunday at 3p. Would expect it to take longer for rush hour pick-ups. Our driver was excellent at getting us safely and efficiently to our hotel. Also, we price compared uber at the time of our pick up and it was just over 70usd. Would recommend.

We used Rento for both a transfer to our hotel from the airport as well as a one way ride to Edirne. Other than having to wait a bit at the airport, the service was excellent. The drivers considerate and prompt, cars were clean and price was reasonable.

Very professional and valuable for money and kind guys

The man at the airport for the pick up was rude and obnoxious which would have been fine if our transfer vehicle was there. Not only was it not there but we waited, 20, 30, 40 minutes and still no car. He kept rudely saying 5 more minutes - that was rubbish and he was awful. When we finally were picked up, the driver had no idea where we were going - he had clearly been called in at the last minute. We are also fairly sure our driver took someone else which is why we were left behind. Trust this company at your peril in Istanbul! We gave them a second go for private transfer and it was worse. Feel free to read my other review. We regularly using private car services and this is the worst.

They handled my 70 wedding guests over the course of 3 days very well. They were helpful, well organised with reasonable fees.

We had a super kind driver, who was hands on helping with luggage (we had a surfboards and huge suit cases) . He was friendly, reliable and quick. We had some water bottles ready for us and he gave us some info while driving through Istanbul. In general I would recommend to use this service, specially if you travel with a lot of luggage and kids. For us it was the first time and we will use it again. Thanks for the amazing communication.

I messaged the company on WhatsApp and asked for a shuttle from the city center to Istanbul airport for 2 am. We agreed on a price and had a great trip to the airport. Friendly driver and company. Fixed price so no need to worry about being asked to pay extra like local taxis.

The operator is very easy to communicate with - they respond via Whatsapp and also email. The instructions are clear. When you exit from Gate 13, look for the R99 sign and the local agent there will call the driver. He then takes you to the spacious vehicle. Very easy and efficient.

It’s been great experience with the company. Booked directly with them. The driver showed up on time and wait for us at pick up spot even though cars are not allowed on the street we stayed at. Fixed price as shown on the booking. We had early flight and got a pick up at 5am. Everything was seamless. Would highly recommend.

I’ve booked this Pick up service before 1 week of our arrival, even tho when my family arrived they said it’s by order line and you have to wait and they waited more than 1 hour. I wish I was there to show them how to wait after arrival hours more extra for paid private transfer…. Never trust them they don’t pick you up

It was on overall OK experience. But the worst part was when the driver refused to give back the change due after we paid. He said he did not have change but it was clear he did not want to return the money owed. It should be the customer's choice on how much they want to tip.

Overall good experience. It was easy to find the sign in the directions provided to meet the guy who coordinates the drivers. The vehicle was large and spacious and the driver was friendly. He did offer the wifi, which we didn't need, but I can see it being helpful for others. We did have to wait 15 minutes or so before we were matched up with a driver. I don't know if it would have been any faster with uber or a taxi driver. But if you have any hesitations and you want to guarantee you have a driver arranged when you get into Istanbul, this is a safe and trustworthy option.

We got in at 4am after a delayed flight (supposed to get in at 1;20am). We found the people quickly and they were nice. The delay didn’t matter, The van is not parked right there. They have to park in some lot a bit away so it took a while for the van to get there. A bit longer than I would have liked at 4 am. Around 10-15 minutes. But we didn’t have to walk anywhere so that was nice. As for the van, I got the Mercedes van. Well technically it was a Mercedes van but it had seen much better days. It was very used and a bit noisy and the driver drove quickly very Istanbul style (which is a whole thing). So in short, worked well but don’t expect luxe or a smooth ride.

Visited Istanbul first time, I contacted them, hearing that the yellow cab system is a scam, which is truly true. The Rento car, didn't give me any grief, they were professional, nice, neat and clean mini van, arrived on time and prices are not beyond reasonable range. I will recommend them with out hesitation.

I booked a round trip van transfer with Rento from IST to our hotel in Taksim and back, and I had a very good experience. The whole reservation process was easy and smooth. I appreviate communication through WhatsApp. The person who handled the booking spoke fluent English, which made booking process so easy. The van itself was clean and spacious. The driver turned on air conditioning, which was great. I suggest round trip reservation as you get good amount of discount. My return trip from Taksim to IST airport cost me $ 42, while the hotel reception offered their own airport transportation for $ 65.

We had a great first leg of the trip. Everything went as planned. When we were going back to the airport the driver made us walk 10 mins away from our hotel with all our luggage on the cobblestone streets. There was 10 of us and some were 60+ making it difficult. He then charged us more than what Rento originally told us. He ruined the whole experience.

I was a little disappointed with the booking of this trip. I had given all the pertinent information twice on a chat with the Trip Advisor agent. Imagine being in a foreign country thinking you have transportation booked and you start getting emails and what app messages asking where are you going? What time do you need to be picked up? Are you at the hotel? Are you at the airport, it’s alarming. Next thinking I one booking in Istanbul and finding out I have two for two separate days and having to cancel one. And then my driver is late the hotel to pick me up. The driver was a nice young man and I do understand the traffic situation in Istanbul. Waiting on canceled Trip to be reimbursed. We take it to the airport on time.y

Good Whatsapp correspondence before and during. Gave me contacts of greeter and driver before landing. Just note they don't wait for you with name on card when you exit. This should have been made clear because it felt slightly let down when you don't see anyone. You have to leave the arrivals building yourself through gate 13. Even then you cannot tell who is your greeter. They are in touch via whatsapp throughout guiding you out. After WhatsApp calls finally someone called my name. Not particularly friendly, just told to wait for driver. I would have appreciated time to go and get an Istanbul card but was asked not to go even though we waited for around ten minutes. Then follow greeter to car park. I.e. you are not waiting for car to come. You wheel your own luggage to parked car in parking building. Driver did help with luggage. I booked an economy car for 30 euros (turned out to be a van) and was allowed to pay 1600 liras instead of euros cash. Credit card is 5% commission. Nothing fancy but gets the job done.

The transfer itself was great, super punctual, very professional, and the driver made the whole ride really comfortable. My main concern was that my pickup was on the same day as the FIFA game, when a bunch of road closures were expected. I reached out to check if any of that would affect my route, but the response was basically that the driver would contact me if something happened. For an airport ride where timing is tight, I really needed clearer guidance on whether I should plan to leave earlier. On top of that, I never got a message saying the driver was on the way. There was no heads‑up or outreach, and as the pickup time got closer with no update, I started getting worried the ride might be delayed. A simple “driver en route” text would’ve helped a lot — not just for peace of mind, but also so I could wrap up any last‑minute things instead of only finding out once the driver was already there.

Virtually no response to the messages to the service provider until the day of service. The pick up was 25 minutes late. Condition of the vehicle was poor with a long crack on the windshield. Driver cannot be described as a safe driver, he had long telephone conversation while driving.
