Onur was an extremely professional and knowledgeable local guide who expertly showed us around Istanbul. He knew the best spots to visit and when, maximising our time. He also was very flexible as he included a visit to the underground cistern when we asked to include it in the sites we wished to visit. A terrific experience overall.

Excellent overview of Istanbul. Our guide, Ozden, knew the city and its history very well. We saw the major sites and many others off the beaten track. Traveling by tram car was much easier than trying to navigate traffic. Introduced to the local foods and markets. Pickup and return to the airport was a big positive

My first two days in Istanbul were fantastic thanks to my guide Onur. Day one was a tour of the old town, with his inside knowledge we skipped all the queues, and apart from the wonderful sights, I learnt so much about the history of Istanbul. Day two was a cruise on the Bosphorus, followed by a food tour. Onur is passionate and knowledgeable about food and I tasted so many fantastic things.

We had the best experiences with Onur T as our tour guide in Istanbul! We were 2 women traveling and had limited time in the city, so we decided to hire a private guide for 2 days. BEST decision we could have made. Onur meticulously planned out not just the sights we wanted to see, but also the best times of day to see them to minimize crowds and waiting. We never waited in line because he’d gotten our tickets ahead of time so we just walked on in. As we were walking around the Old City and visiting sights, Onur would tell us in detail about what we were seeing. We learned so much about Turkish history, culture, religion and architecture from him…..as a history nerd, this was amazing! Spending our time with him was like hanging out with a guide, a professor and an old friend all rolled into one person. He even mapped out the day we had on our own in detail for us and said we could reach out to him if we needed anything. I can’t say enough good things about Onur and our time spent with him in Istanbul; his knowledge, expertise, and obvious love for his city was a true gift to us.

We had a great experience for 2 days in Istanbul with Turkland Travel. Our contact - Ibrahim was very easy to work with/was extremely responsive, even late at night and early mornings. Our guide - Onus Tuntas was 5*++. We were a group of 4 and it seemed like the perfect size for our guided trip. Right from the pick up at the airport to the final drop-off at the airport and the many sightseeing trips, Onur was always on time/ready to go and full of energy. Really enjoyed his narration of some of the key historical moments in Istanbul. Onur is very knowledgeable about Istanbul and Turkey and takes great pride in explaining/detailing all the facts. We got to know Onur quite well in the 2-3 days we spent with him - lovely person and he is very proud of his family/daughter. His restaurant recommendations were spot-on as well. What I thought took the cake was his caring messages enquiring how we were doing as we moved to Cappadocia and Greece - very, very impressed. We also requested Ibrahim to provide us some guiding service in Cappadocia and Umut in Cappadocia was excellent as well. Definitely recommend him and the travel agency wholeheartedly.

Our guide Onur was the absolute best! He was extremely knowledgeable and his English was perfect! He showed us the best of Istanbul over two days and even helped us plan a 3rd day on our own. We learned so much more about the history, culture, architecture and lifestyle in Istanbul than we ever could have any other way! He was very friendly and interesting to talk to. I felt like I was with a very good old friend the entire time! He showed us the major sites, but also took us to a few off the beaten track places including a private cistern, eating spots on the Asian side of Istanbul that were local favorites, a private yacht cruise and more. When I mentioned that my son was Greek Orthodox he showed me the Greek Orthodox patriarchy which was in a very picturesque neighborhood with colored houses and picturesque umbrella covered courtyards. Our time was wisely spent. He planned around peak crowd times and we were able to easily enter all of the sites without any wait time. There were no surprise additional expenses and he gave us so much more time and experiences than we expected. I could go on and on about how much we enjoyed being guided by Onur, but I will boil it down to you can't go wrong if you work with Onur. I highly recommend him!

Had a great 2 days exploring Istanbul, other than in Sultanahmet. Over to Kariköy for street food and Taksim Square, Galata tower district and Balat and Fener. Our guide, Onur, was first class

Ibrahim was fantastic! He helped me consistently to plan our trip according to our travel style from the beginning. My husband and I wanted to arrange a trip that including a couple of private guided tours, with other time left for us to explore on our own, and this worked out perfectly. Onur, our guide in Istanbul, was terrific! Very knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating and fun. We had a great time together. Ibrahim suggested some extras in my itinerary that I planned, such as a private boat ride on the Bosphorus, and I was so glad about that. We arranged private airport/hotel transfers in each city we visited and each time was very smooth with easy to find drivers. Our guide Onur was excellent. We did 2 tours with him. A food tour and Bosphorus cruise and a tour of the Old City. He was very knowledgeable and able to give a good explanation of significant people and events and he was good company.

We, party of 4, booked our tour with TURKLAND TRAVEL. Arranging agent didn’t rush us , nor pressure us, but rather provided engaged attentive discussion to secure a trip that we really understood and was comfortable with. We had the pleasure of having Onur as our guide through Hagia Sophia , Topkapi Palace, sea travel across the Bosphorus to Kiz Kulesi , then Kadikoy. He was certainly well versed on topics. Very interactive and engaged with us concerning historical topics as well as the local immediate human cultural make up of the country. Onur was a complete delight . The uniqueness and dynamics of the city neighborhoods can continuously pull anyone’s attention so easily, but Onur’s continuous focus and efforts kept us on track and on time to accomplish very efficient travels and tours. Our guide Onur in Istanbul was more than fantastic. He is simply the best guide we have ever had. Full of interesting information. He was warm, friendly and supportive. Our tour with him was a private two day tour for two elderly people. My wife had recent knee surgery, so Onur rearranged our two days with him so that she could physically manage all the places we went to, from the Grand Bazaar to lunch in the food markets, all the classic Istanbul sights, shopping, Bosphorus cruise and more. I fully recommend Onur to everyone who visits Istanbul

Ugur was a fabulous guide and a delight to spend the day with. He met us promptly at our hotel and we were on our way. We made stops at the Hagia Sophia and the Topkapi Palace. Ugur was able to bring those places to life and able to answer any question that we had. He was also very flexible and allowed the day to take us where it did. We made a memorable trip across the Bosphorus to Kandikoy where Ugur guided as to an amazing place for a lunch amongst the fish markets. A trip back to Europe and a final farewell marked the end of a truly memorable day. I would recommend Ugur to anyone wanting a memorable tour through an amazing city.

We travel 2 to 3 times a year and always use tour guides to help with our daily activities but coming to Istanbul and having an amazing tour group like private guiding service create an amazing trip for us we will definitely be returning because of this tour group

We booked a tour of Turkey with TURKLAND Travel Agency our agent Ibrahim planned out our trip that included more than we expected. He did such a fabulous job along with the tour guide that stayed with us through our entire trip. Ibrahim from Turkland Tours exceptional efficiency meant we knew we were in good hands before we even arrived in Istanbul. Days before we arrived we received the necessary information for our airport transfer to our hotel in the city. Seamless. Our excellent guide Onur showed us around all the major city highlights and quite a few hidden gems over a couple of days. Our guide, Ece was outstanding - we spent two very full days with her exploring Istanbul. Not only did we see all the major attractions, we also discovered many hidden gems. Nothing was too much trouble for Ece, everything was done with a smile and my wife and I had a lot of laughs with her.

My grandparents were Greeks from Alatsata. I wanted to understand what their life was like in the early 20th Century. Ibrahim and Sinan arranged a special program for me to walk in my grandparents footsteps in Asia Minor. There is so much Greek history in Turkey. I’d never have found the churches without Sinan. It was very well organised. I asked to stay in traditional Greek homes and to eat local food. Our driver Murat was excellent and the vehicle was safe and very comfortable. This was our first time visiting Istanbul. We had an amazing driver Atay. He pick us up at the airport and took us to the hotel. He wa funny. We don't speak Turkish and he did not speak any English but using amazing technology He was able to communicate with us. Told us about the city, traffic and interesting information about the city He calls home. The hotel was amazingly located and very close to the Blue Mosque. On arrival we met Ibrahim. He gave us information on the tour and when to expect out tour guide. Our tour guide Ulaș show us the city and all the amazing history of Istanbul in 3 days. My husband, being History major was fascinated. We walk everywhere, ate amazing food, had amazing time in both Europe and Asia continents 😀. We hope to be back to see other parts of beautiful Turkey.

We were happy with the tour and our guide Onur. He has been welcoming and well spoken. We have learnt heaps of new facts about the culture of Türkiye and life in Istanbul, as well as enjoyed finding out about Sultan’s private life in Topkapi Palace. We also discovered curious details of architecture and art while we were visiting the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. It was exciting to know more about the history of Türkiye while we were visiting Hippodrome and going on our boat trip across the Bosphorus Strait. Also we got some handy tips on how to navigate through Istanbul and places like Grand Bazaar and Spice Market, and got a few hacks on some popular places to eat. We felt relaxed and comfortable and would recommend this touring experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 day guided adventure through Türkiye starting in the stunning Antalya, Pamukkale thermal pools, Gallipoli and Istanbul. Our drivers and guides were knowledgeable and friendly and the trip went smoothly and efficiently. Fantastic guides Ozden and Onur took us on two separate walking tours in Istanbul. We enjoyed learning lots of history, local info and they both especially looked after our needs. They went out of their way regarding our interest in Turkish rugs, leather goods, spices and food. We enjoyed local hospitality in shops such as the rug and spice shops! We took a girls' trip to see the sights of Istanbul. We were lucky enough to get Onur as our guide for two of our three days there. He is super knowledgeable about the sights and history, and he was extremely helpful with any (minor) problems we had. Highlights of his tour included a tasting of 'street food' in a local market and shopping in the spice market. Would highly recommend!!

Özden was an amazing guide! He guided us for 2 days and was informative, funny, thoughtful, honest, and made great decisions on the fly to make sure we maximized our time. We got to see all the major sites that we wanted as well as others. He was extremely knowledgeable on a variety of subjects, especially Topkapi palace, and made everything very interesting. He is very funny and down to earth. I appreciated that he shared details about himself and life for people in Turkey. He was honest about the good and bad which helped to enrich our experience of understanding the culture and people. He always checked to see how we were doing and what we wanted to do so he could adjust the itinerary for us. In addition to being a guide, he is a defense attorney, businessman, musician, and overall great person. He even invited us to come watch him perform with the Bar Association Orchestra (they were very good)! Also, he is an expert in woven carpets and can help you learn about the art form and how to get a good price for quality items. He seems to know everyone in town and they all light up and insist on saying hi when they pass; now we know why! He is great at making friends and building personal connections. We were very fortunate to have had the opportunity to spend time with him and definitely consider him a true friend.

Ozden was incredible! He was our guide for two days in Istanbul and made the experience informative but personal. He gave comprehensive explanations of the historical sites but also provided personal, customized experiences. I felt honored that he invited us to his orchestra rehearsal, introduced us to his friends and girlfriend, and opened up about this life.
