Han and I had a wonderful walking tour in Istanbul on October 1st. Our guide Yunus is amazing. He gave us a lot of useful, interesting and practical information. For almost 3 hours! As a retired teacher in Tourism I say he is both excellent and a real professional. We are very satisfied and will booking more walking tours thanks to him. Çok tessekurler Yunus!

Good day overall. Guide and our driver was on time, which was really nice. Informative tour overall. A good idea is to get the "whispers" as crowds are big and sometimes hard to hear or keep up with, when you see something interesting along the routes.
Our designated tour guide was Seviley - she was friendly, kind and knowledgeable - overall a sweet person. I feel that although the Tour guide was good. I felt Viator could bring down the price of this tour as it was fairly pricy for what it was. I also feel that the commentary on the blurb of this experience is slightly misleading. On the first page it states entrance fees of sites are paid for but if you scroll to the itinerary it states otherwise.
We had a private tour two of us by Sevilay. She was responsible, proactive to inform meet-up venue, and informative about the history of the places of interest. Best part she has excellent photography skills & helped us take nice photos. Friendly and excellent guide. As expected and informed by previous tourists, there is a carpet sale pitch at shop, ceramic shop and shop at grand bazaar we were brought to. Prices seem bit steep
Don’t book the inclusive ticket, the tour was terrible, the company did not handle any of our concerns, and we were left extremely dissatisfied Couple of notable issues though there were many: Lunch was not properly scheduled and we ate extremely late Tour guide didn’t accompany us into rooms even though other groups had guides in there Tour guide lied to us and told us toilets weren’t available and only when we saw signs ourselves did we realise Company implied we were lying when we brought up our issues Grouped with people who didn’t have the inclusive ticket so we still had to queue in the sun to get their tickets and then queue again for entrance Hagia Sophia is not included and this is not made clear (to us at least)

Our guide Ozmen (not sure of spelling) was fantastic! She was a font of knowledge, there seemed to be no question she didn't know the answer to. We spent more than six hours with her, and the time just flew by. We never could have seen everything on our own and known what we were doing and seeing. She made everything so interesting! Totally worth the price.
Me and my sister enjoyed an amazing tour of the old city of Istanbul in a small group given by Miss Arzu Tuna. She had a lot of interesting things to say about the city whilst also keeping us engaged in conversation and making sure that we had some of our own time during the tour to explore! Our Tour Guide Sevilay was excellent, very friendly, knowledgeable, took her time to explain the venues and answer our questions, she even agreed to wait and meet us at the Hypodrome after our Cruise arrived a little after the Tour started. Highly recommended.

Our guide collected us from our hotel and took us on a full day walking tour of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia , the Topkapi Palace and Harem. the Grand Bazaar and a pottery workshop. He was very friendly knowledgeable and interesting. There were only 5 people in our group. We had lunch in a rooftop restaurant with a view of the Bosphorus. This tour included the entrance fees and skip the line and lunch. It was a highly enjoyable walking tour with a great guide which we highly recommend if you are in Istanbul.

We did a 6 hour tour with Mustafa. FUNNN guy His is very knowledgeable smart and has a funny bone. Very friendly which made us as couples like we hung out with a friend than a guide. Saw all major highlights of the city and he took us to some great spots for food cravings. He gave us much time to explore a few areas inside Topakapi palace and grand bazar. If you ever decide to visit Turkey please do get on this tour with Mustafa. We truly enjoyed and was worth it!!!

It was beautiful. We altogether as a family visited the location. It was very busy and rushed but the atmosphere was wonderful.

If you are hard pressed for time and need all the top ticket items in Sultanahmet ticked off in one day, then this is the tour for you. But be prepared for a long day. There is lots to see and lots of walking. Our guide, Selvilay was prompt, kept in touch pre tour and was very knowledgeable. We also knew that there is a tendency to take tourists to preferred businesses in the Grand Bazaar. We were ready for it, but can be a little off-putting. The late afternoon drop off by the tour company’s transport was not possible as the driver was stuck in the notorious Istanbul traffic. Our guide helped out with sorting an Istanbul card for tram travel.
I think this was the perfect choice I could have done, yes one long day of walking lots & lots but you end up seeing all major sights in old Istanbul in one full day. The Tour Guide Gurkan was amazing with great knowledge about history places sights and great humour. A special thanks to him with out him this tour wouldn’t have been successful. Our guide Seçkin was excellent and made this tour exceptional. His knowledge of the area and of the places that we visited was amazing which made the tour even more interesting. The tour covers all of the main attractions in Istanbul, all within walking distance. Thoroughly enjoyable but exhausting. A must do tour for anybody visiting Istanbul.
They did not appear at pickup point. Neither answered phone calls. There was a recording with a note for an emergency number to call which they never picked up. We arrived an hour early and waited up to 39 minutes after. No notification or response via viator app. Terrible experience. We have contacted viator for a refund. Never had issues prior using this app.

The tour girl was very good. She knew all the history. She asked all the questions and very sweet. And and she took us to a very good place for lunch. We all enjoy it.
Tour guide, Sevilay was wonderful. She is direct and knowledgeable. She knew the best way to beat the crowds and lines! We did not plan for an all day tour, but it lasted 9-5. We are so happy to see so many places and the restaurant for lunch was excellent! I recommend leaving before the grand bazaar finale. The sales pitch is long and uncomfortable. We felt stuck and unsure how to politely excuse ourselves.
Wow what an actioned packed day to cover all the major sites. Guide was knowledgeable but softly spoken so was hard to hear her when a big crowd was around. She did spend an extra hour with our tour to ensure we could make our way around the Grand Bazaar. Things to note - We thought we were being transferred via mini bus, as noted in the brochure, but it is a walking tour. Also wear appropriate attire to visit mosque’s. Guide didn’t explain the format at the beginning of the day, including process for lunch, which would have been helpful.
Topkapi palace, Blue Mosque, basilica Sistern are all good to visit. Hagia Sophia was last. This is an 8 hours walking your. Too long. My feet were killing me. It was mentioned in the itinerary that an aircondiioned vehicle was included. Zero vehicle. Strictly walking tour for 8 hours. No lunch.
This was a GREAT tour! We saw Istanbul from top to bottom and everything in between! We moved at a "good" pace, easy to cover the distance, learning as we went.

A very good tour which covers all major points of interest. Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us enough free time to explore for ourselves. She also doubled up as a photographer when needed. I would definitely recommend her. Also the Basilica cistern is a must visit.

I was unable to go, I was taken ill suddenly the night before we were due to go. I tried to contact the tour company and Viator and kept getting mixed messages and not an ounce of sympathy. Communication was an absolute shambles, I was told by one person I would get a refund and then Viator Customer Support said I wasn’t. Very frustrating and disappointing, will think twice before booking with viator again!
It was a great learning experience with a wonderful and very knowledgeable tour guide, Sevilay. She was also able to get us into any place without standing in lines. I highly recommend Sevilay for this day tour, which is an all-walking only tour.
I can’t imagine what a challenge it must be to lead a group of 11 individuals (including a 5-year-old) through all the top tourist attractions in Istanbul in 7 hours or less, but our tour guide managed to keep us all on time and do it with grace. She was also very knowledgeable about the history of the sights we saw, and good about pointing out photo opportunities. It was a great way to start off our visit to Istanbul!
Our guide Sevilay (I think I spelled it correctly) was punctual and friendly. Full of knowledge and efficient with getting us to the right places before the crowds. If you are short on time (like my family) and want to get a sense of some of the highlights of Istanbul, this is a great tour.

Enjoyed the day with our guide Seckin who had a great sense of humor and was very knowledgeable. If you only have a day or two in Istanbul this is a great way to see a lot of the most important sites.
Our tour guide Gürkhan was very knowledgeable and friendly. He took the necessary time to explain the history of the places we visited and was very flexible in accommodating our preferences regarding the itinerary. We took the tour on a Sunday and asked to visit the Spice Bazaar in lieu of the Grand Bazaar which is closed on Sundays. The guide accommodated this request. He also gave us tips on local food. We really appreciated the service and would definitely recommend a guided tour to all those who want to make the most of their time in Istanbul.
